Dr. Baker Akad completed his orthodontic specialty training at Harvard University where he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Medical Science (MMSc). Prior to that, he earned his Dental Doctorate Degree (DMD) also from Harvard. He previously graduated with a degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from UCLA.
Your first visit to our office will be a comprehensive examination for you or your child. Dr. Baker Akad will conduct a thorough clinical orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment himself. He will carefully examine the teeth for a wide range of possible orthodontic problems, such as crowding, bite issues, gaps, etc.
It's more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment.
We are pleased to offer our patients the latest in orthodontic care with the Damon System. In some cases Damon braces allow your teeth to move more comfortably and easily than traditional braces. I had terrible teeth two years ago. Akad Orthodontics was initially recommended to my brother from my cousin. Both my cousin and my brothers teeth turned out great and I recently got my braces off. They look great as well and I am so happy to have them off. The staff is also so nice and great. They definitely deserve a 5 star review.

I had to have braces for a 2nd time from 2015 - 2017 at this place, they were very caring, Dr. Akad was very nice, knew a lot about the latest orthodontic technology. I had the Tradional braces both times. For my 2nd orthodontic treatment thanks to advances in technology my brackets were smaller, and I didn't need Spacers or any molar Bands for the 2nd orthodontic treatment!
I have a asymmetric Jaw and had a bad bite before my 2nd treatment and the end results exceeded Dr. Akad's Expectation!

Dr. Akad has my full trust! He treated my two sons and my daughter and the outcome was outstanding for each. He equally perfected using the Invisalign and the braces (My daughter had the Invisalign and my sons had the braces) and the result was great smiles that keep earning them complements until today.
