Love this place! My daughter and I frequently get treats after weekend football (soccer) practice and she loves the variety... AND she doesn't care that she's eating gluten friendly items, just because of me! The options of freshly baked vs frozen and pre-packaged have gone up over the years, so we recommend this to anyone with food allergies. We've tried a number of cookies, cakes, bread and croissants, some are quite dense, but all are delicious. I recommend you try it for yourselves because it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Josee has always run a great bakery but in the last couple years she has switched to 100 percent gluten-free. Gluten-free is not my cup of tea so I can't personally vouch for it, but in her previous, glutenous incarnation her stuff was always delicious and I can't imagine that changing. Well worth trying.

This is the best bakery in Toronto, if not Canada. And I am a truly picky eater. Everything feels home made with an abundance of pure love and care. You can honestly taste the love... Feels like family! Everything is delicious. Everyone I send their way becomes an addict. I, myself, am addicted to their baked goods! Josée is so deeply kind! I am so grateful for Bread Essentials. This is THE best gluten-free bakery in the GTA. It’s a completely nut-free space, with tons of vegan options and they’re so conscious of other allergens, just ask your questions and they’ll accommodate! It’s a family-run business and everything tastes like amazing homemade baked goodness! They have an entire dry pantry and frozen food section in addition to the beautiful daily breads and treats. I’m a huge fan of their sourdoughs, they’re yeast-free and make the best toast! Drop in and treat yourself and your body to some delicious, healthy, and homemade food.

Most friendly staff ever. They are great to my family every time we are in there. They have the best GF products and fresh made and sourced from others as well. We love this place and could not recommend it enough. If you want something specific ask them they will either try to get it or have something competitive

There’s no other bakery in the city like this! We are so lucky to have this bakery in our neighbourhood as finding excellent gluten-free options is usually very difficult! And the prepared foods are wonderful as well. My favourites are the beef patty and chickpea patty. The chicken pot pie -is the best I’ve ever had. My 5 year old loves their chicken fingers. The baguettes are just like regular bread. I’m always able to find parking right in front. The owner Josée is such a lovely human, I will always come here now that I’ve discovered it.!
