Hillside Veterinary Clinic
Our team of Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians truly do make our Veterinary Clinic what it is. We dearly care for your pets, as if they were our own! From a new puppy or kitten, to being there in those final moments, we're here for you. At Hillside Veterinary Clinic, we love our pets, so we understand how much you love yours.

That's why we offer a comprehensive range of services to help promote a long and healthy life for your animal companions. We know that catching disease early helps to extend the lives of those we love. We do this through regular check-ups for your pet, preventative vaccines as well as using other tools to make sure we stay on top of your pets health and wellbeing!
Services
We have been caring for pets as if they were our own for over 30 years and we wouldn't want to do anything else. We treat every patient with the love and care they all deserve. What do you love most about your job? The best part of my job is being able to a difference in peoples lives. Small actions from our team of amazing humans can have a massive ripple effect, touching peoples lives in so many different ways.
An annual physical exam is the most important part of your pet's ongoing health care. It allows us to identify any underlying health issues your pet may have. Early detection and treatment often leads to a more successful (and less expensive) outcome. Since you know your pet better than anyone, we work in partnership with you to obtain a thorough history.
We offer spaying and neutering of pets, as well as dental and soft tissue surgery (lump removals, laceration repairs, gastrointestinal/exploratory abdominal surgery, bladder surgery, etc). Your pet is a member of your family, so if your dog or cat needs to have surgery, we understand that it is difficult for everyone.
It is estimated that more than 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats develop tooth and gum disease by the age of three years old. If the bacterium from oral disease enters the bloodstream, it can greatly damage your pet's kidneys, heart or liver. Our health care team are experts in performing dental cleanings and we are happy to announce that during the month of February we are offering $100 saving on all dental cleanings!
Laboratory tests help Hillside Veterinary Clinic assess your pet's health. A variety of laboratory tests are used in our veterinary practice. We utilize these tests as a diagnostic tool and also as part of routine preventive care. We have on-site blood and urine testing equipment that allows for fast results and we also employ the services of a referral veterinary lab where necessary.

Terrible since Dr Rafman retired. We nearly lost our dog to erlichia. Massive hemorrhage. Misdiagnosed in the early stages as “ bleeding gums due to dental disease”. Thousands in dental surgery. Weeks later massive bleed and DIC and a week in ICU at 404, who were wonderful and luckily, despite the delay in a proper diagnosis, we’re able to save him. That bill close to ten thousand dollars.

Terrible - If your animal is not sick bring them here; I’m sure you’ll have a good experience BUT if they are sick don’t. Money is they’re only motivation. 😡

My dog wasn’t even 2 years old. Misdiagnosis of disease, bad medicine that only worsened the dog's health. This is your fault! He went to heaven on Friday. The answer to our multiple phone requests for help was to send them photos. Neither a blood sample nor a urine test. The last time we called for help was at 4:15 p.m. on Friday afternoon, the answer was, there are only opening hours until 5 p.m., let’s go to the emergency room, “if the trouble is really serious”. I would not recommend this place to anyone! My whole family is grieving.

I have never been more upset with the way a vet clinic has handled my dog. When bringing my dog up to the door, a vet tech tried to yank her in and my dog panicked. She slipped out of her harness because the vet tech continued to yank despite the harness coming off. The tech clearly did not know how to handle the situation, very unprofessional. My… dog darted to the road and it was me and another client that had to wrangle her back in. The tech just stood there and watched as my dog genuinely almost died. BTW, my dog's harness has never come off before and I use it multiple times a day.

My nervous Bernese Mountain dog enjoys a warm and competent welcome at Hillside. The vets and techs are knowledgeable and patient. They are a cheerful group that makes you feel more positive as a result! Thank you!

I don’t think your photo’s are very professional. I have had my animals going here for 20 years and I am a firm believer that how you present yourself on social media is a reflection of how you do business. These pictures look like a frat HOUSE and that business is not serious.
