Services
Dr. Sasan Haghighat (Hyatt), is the owner of Holistic Vet clinic in Newmarket, Ontario. After graduating from vet school and additional training in Germany he passed his licensing exams in Ontario in 2003. He worked at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Newmarket and the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC) in Toronto.
North-East Vet (for short) is a small, peaceful and welcoming outpatient office. A quiet environment, friendly staff, soothing music, and essential oils create a safe and relaxing atmosphere for animals and their human companions. Owners are welcome to use our spacious backyard to sit or walk their pet, with stoop and scoop bags provided for your convenience.
As we are continually striving to meet the needs of our clients and patients, career opportunities do occur on a regular basis. Had a terrible experience here. Heard incredible things about this place and was very excited to take my dog here and make sure he has a proper vet that is more on the natural side of things. When I arrived for my appointment I was shocked. This vet literally looked at my dog. didn’t give him any check up or anything didn’t even TOUCH HIM, he seemed confused and looking for a way to get me out of his establishment. This vet looked at me and said you should stay at your own vet. I felt insulted and just ended up leaving in shock I drove over 40 mins to basically be denied their services. No

I brought my dog Toby in to see Dr.H eighteen months ago for the first time to treat his seizures.Toby had been suffering from seizures for years and they had gotten progressively worse. I was told by my vet that I needed to put him on medication for the rest of his life or else his life would be cut short. This was hard to hear but we needed these seizures to stop they were so horrible to watch and I can’t imagine what Toby was going through.I was referred to Dr. H by a friend at about the same time . I called and put myself on a waiting list to see him. This was the best thing I could have

We honestly can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. H and his team. Our 11 year old had a growth on his paw that grew quite large and then opened up and start festering. We were so fearful that this was a turn for the end. Our dog couldn't walk on it. Dr. H helpfully provided and suggested a number of treatments. The growth shrunk, our guy can walk on it again and crossed fingers he has been healthy. People are constantly shocked when we say he is now 12 years as he looks so healthy, thanks to Dr. H. My initial review of Dr. Haghighat and his staff was posted around December 2019. It was 2 months after l first brought my then 5 year old sweet Boston Terrier, suffering from a horrible itchy skin condition and hair loss. Her conventional vet recommended a drug called Apoquel which contributed to some dogs developing cancerous tumors after use, so l turned that treatment and clinic down and came up to Newmarket to see Dr. Haghighat. My dog had allergies, immune disorders and vaccine related problems. Within 2 months with holistic treatment, she improved quite a lot! That is when l gave a google

After spending thousands at multiple other vets with no results, the Holistic Vet helped give my cat a new lease on life. Dr. Haghighat has been amazing every step of the way, explaining what was going on. My cat has started playing again. I would highly recommend to everyone, they may be able to help your pets when other vets can't.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this clinic and about Dr. Haghighat. When my 4 year old doodle started vomiting after he ate anything I took him to my regular vet. For 5 months they prescribed various medications and prescription kibble. He continued to decline and lose weight and his pancreas levels were off the charts to the point two vets had said in their 20+ year careers they had never seen blood results that bad. I was told those blood levels are indicative of a dying dog. I was devastated and was determined to find a way to save my baby. I found out about Dr. Haghighat's clinic

His knowledge is superb, he is gentle and comforting to pet owners
I just want to hug him he is so very sweet, and he gave me back my sanity I was so worried about my baby. Steph and Ashley answers every e mail I send , never ignores any question I ask, great girls friendly and warm, and caring lovely genuine people

One year ago I adopted my beloved cat. As soon as I brought him home, he started to develop secondary infections as a result of feline herpes. I took him to your conventional vet multiple times, and they couldn't help him. As soon as he would stop taking antibiotics, he would reacquire an infection. I knew I couldn't keep feeding him antibiotics, so I started researching for a holistic/naturopathic vet, and it brought me to the care of Dr. Sasan Haghighat. He is such a pleasure
