Allandale Veterinary Hospital is pleased to offer Physical Rehabilitation services to Barrie and surrounding communities! Physical rehabilitation is an ever evolving branch of veterinary medicine that is used to help our furry friends in a multitude of ways. We can help them to recover from orthopedic surgery, deal with arthritis, recover from a neurological disease, or even help with wound therapy.
Allandale Veterinary hospital is pleased to offer a wide array of advanced procedures to its patients. These include: soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures, and regenerative medicine through the use of PRP (platelet rich plasma). Using these advanced procedures, we can significantly improve your pet's quality of life.
Allandale Veterinary Hospital is delighted to offer acupuncture therapy and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to your beloved companions!. TCVM is made up of four different components: 1. Acupuncture 2. Herbal medicine 3. Food therapy 4. Tui-na (medical manipulation). Acupuncture in particular involves the insertion of very fine and sterile needles into specific acupoints on your pet's body to cause a beneficial and healing effect.
When your pet arrives at the hospital on the day of his or her dental prophy, they will be examined by one of our doctors to make sure they are healthy enough to undergo the anesthetic and procedure planned for the day. Once the doctor completes a full physical exam, the recommended pre-anesthetic blood work will be drawn by one of the Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT's).
Our hospital is pleased to offer a wide array of reproduction services for your breeding needs. Breeding exams (of male or female, including but not limited to: reproductive tract ultrasound, semen evaluation, etc.). Routine artificial inseminations are available. At Allandale, we use Minitube/MOFA supplies, so our extenders are available for 5 or 10 days.
