Services
I'm sure I look familiar; I have been at East Barrie since 2007! I am an RVT and the Office Manager. When I'm not busy keeping everyone in the clinic in line, I'm juggling my brood of fur babies at home: Quinn my 215lb slobbery beast (dog not boyfriend) and my 3 cats Leopold, Owen and Doyle. My name is Magda Tomaszewska.
We will work hard to provide a partnership between you and your pet and our veterinary health care team. Informed, current and ethical care is extended to all of our clients and their pets. We will honour the practice of veterinary medicine with our professionalism, courtesy and respect of people for their pets, staff members and other veterinarians.
At our hospital, each patient has one or more technicians dedicated full time to your pet's anesthetic monitoring under the care of the veterinarian. These technicians are with your pet from induction (initiation of anesthetia) right through to their full recovery. Anesthetic maintenance and monitoring are crucial for a successful surgical procedure.
You will be surprised! 85% pets are suffering from mild to severe periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is disease of the gums (gingiva - which is a supporting and protective structure for the tooth). Pets can suffer from bad breath, anorexia (inappetance), bruxism (champing of teeth) and other systemic (body system) disease as a result of poor dental hygiene.
This is one of the greatest diagnostic tools available for our Pet Friends. X-rays are not just a tool to see bones. It is a tool required to see any change in size or shape of an abdominal organ, presence of any potential (metal) foreign body or obstruction (intestine or stomach), any changes or lesions in the lungs, heart or spine and other lesions.

I am writing this review in regards to the conversation I had with Siobhan. She was exceptional and listened to my concerns in how I felt the care of my cat was handled. I felt heard and was grateful that she took the time to simply acknowledge - and offer solutions - to my experience. Really, really cannot thank her enough.

Very friendly & caring staff. Vet was so personable. He really cares for the pets. My 2 dogs just had surgery and EVERYTHING was clearly explained both in person and on my paperwork.
Very clean...but does not smell like other Vets.
Best of all...really affordable compared to other places. They strictly follow COVID protocols for yours and their safety.
Great place & highly recommend giving them a call.

Friendly service, caring and knowledgeable staff. I switched to these two veterinarians last year from my previous vet of 16 years because these guys actually care for you and your animal and they are cost friendly. Their staff is super friendly and that helps a lot when your pet (family member) is in distress, it helps you keep your cool as well.

Absolutely disgusted in the this clinic! We have taken our pets here the past couple years and haven't had an issue till today, even at the beginning of the day they were even telling us they were going to discount the surgery for our cat cause we have been such loyal clients.
Our cat miscarried, my husband called to tell them what was going on and to get here an appointment, he told them that he wouldn't be able to pay until Friday, he was put on hold and then told he could and to bring her in, so he did. If it was an issue we would have waited till Friday.
They then said she needed almost

I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary hospital. I have taken my animals here for 15 years. Hospitable, friendly, reasonable and very amazing with the treatment of animals. I would give it more stars if I could!

I've recently started taking both my cats here, and I've been really happy with the treatment! Even though it's only over the phone and not in-person vet appointments, everyone has been really friendly, thorough, and professional. Unlike some vets I don't feel overcharged or upsold, and prices have been reasonable in comparison to phoning other local vets. I've been able to get my cats booked in super fast and their curbside system works efficiently.

I would recommend the Animal Hospital of East Barrie to anyone looking for a vet. The staff are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr. Sharma truly cared about the animals coming in there. Apollo loves his visits!

Absolutely Amazing, Dr. Sharma and the Ladies in the Office were , perfect . Gave a huge relief to me when taking my Dog into Clinic. Dr . Sharma took time to come outside the Clinic to advise me and alleviate any concerns I had , and the follow up by his Staff , was also good for my emotions.
I HAVE NEVER had a bad experience when dealing with those PROFESSIONALS. My dog is 13 yrs old and although , ownership has changed, I will never seek another Veterinarian. I also advise friends and neighbors with a new pet , to go there for their pet for the best service , caring and concerned follow up

Don't bring your pet here. I brought my kitten here for a check up and to get his vaccinations . I also scheduled a date to have him neutered at 5 months. I was given a quote with 2 prices for him to be neutered. I was confused as one price was for just over $200. the other for over $400. Both were much more than the $140. I was quoted on the phone, but that is another topic. When I asked what the difference was I was simply told that if I couldn't afford the $400. neutering I could choose the $200. neutering. Of course I want my kitten to have the best care but why would there be a choice not
