The place looks amazing and well decorated. However, the menu I was kind
of disappointed at the menu. I expected more varieties of fine dining food but there were a lot of basic options like chicken tender/ burger+fries etc. We ordered the salmon which was cooked to perfection but the stuffed chicken on the other hand was super bland. Service was okay.

Decent restaurant. We tried their crab and avocado parfait and cauliflower soup as a starter. The parfait was perfect. The soup was on the heavier side. The salmon entree was well cooked. The vegetable sides that came with the salmon were inedible. Finally, finished it off with apple pie cheesecake. Again, too rich and heavy for my liking. The rating would have been higher if not for the server. His face fell when we refused to order drinks. He must have decided that his time would be better spent looking after patrons who were spending more $$ by ordering drinks, that he only came to our table

Hotel looks quite dated from the outside. I liked how azure was right in the lobby near the main entrance with soaring windows. It's probably gorgeous during the day with the sunlight pouring in.
We had dinner there and were served by William. He was truly an amazing server who was extremely competent and was happy to cater to every whim of ours regarding our dietary needs. The dips platter was not that fantastic but we enjoyed the Atlantic char fish. Oxtail was pretty good too. A staff member like William is a true credit to the hotel. Pity I can't say the same about some of the other staff at

The wait staff were attentive without being overbearing. I noticed lots of business people were having dinner here. This is a convenient location that's close to everything downtown.
I had the brisket pasta and it was a tad on the salty side but delicious with a good amount of meat. Many times I find that a pasta dish is made up of at least 90% pasta with little else. I had been debating between the brisket pasta and linguine with shrimp and calamari. Next time I'll get that. My cousin thoroughly enjoyed her dip and salumi platter and even took the leftovers to go.

A great place to have a business meal. The restaurant still keeps that traditional way of serving and they are all very attentive to your table. The food selection for lunch is not huge but the quality is great. The Arctic Char I had was absolutely perfect, from the presentation to its cooking. If you also want to maintain a business conversation this place is great. The only critique I have is that they don't have electrical plugs near the tables so if you need your laptop make sure you have enough battery.

This is a lovely modern restaurant within the Intercontinental Hotel. The servers were friendly but the prices are high and the entrees lacked seasoning. We enjoyed a second night at the bar a lot more. Nice bar menu, friendly bartenders and delicious drinks. You can choose from cozy seating or at the bar and the TVs had hockey on and a lively crowd with both locals and out of town guests.

This will be my second time dining at Azure Restaurant and it has always been an enjoyable experience.
The food is exactly how I expected; cook to perfection with very rich flavour. Their staff were so lovely and very welcoming. The restaurant atmosphere is very relaxing where you see more natural lightings and clear views of neighbourhood buildings.

My best friend from out of town always stays at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre when here for a Toronto Blue Jays home series.
Tonight, after the game, we dined in the Azure Restaurant & Bar; his favourite place since it's right inside this luxury hotel.
I really like the ambiance, friendly restaurant staff and top notch chef. Our server Paula was professional and attentive!
We began with a Calamari $14.75 and a Mezze Dip Platter $16.00 of spinach & artichoke hummus, olive & sundried tomato relish, roasted eggplant, olives, naan and crostini. Flavourful & amazing!
My entree was the Maple

Considering the prices I would expect a server to know how to cut wine seal, pop cork and pour wine properly! Dishes were not cleaned off in sufficient time and for some odd reason other people's drinks were added to my tab despite me not the host of table nor with my permission! Overpriced for the quality of service! Waitresses unkept looking; hair and nails a mess not acceptable for this establishment nor for a breakfast truck stop!

(lunch at 12:45) Slow, slow, slow. Got our drink order wrong. Took half an hour for our food to be ordered. Staff seem clueless that they are performing a customer service job.
Food was good but not great. It was served quickly once we finally ordered. Perhaps they were simply over busy but our waiter had little pep in his step. Had no expression or consideration for our time.
The quick service upon ordering picked up most of our initial wait. Had the service been better at the front end an easy 3 star maybe more. I will give it another try and re-review if the experience is better.

Came to Azure during Summerlicious for dinner with my girlfriend, and had a great experience.
We ordered the Old Fashioned and Maple Manhattan to start, which were _extremely_ boozy. Now, I like me a stiff drink, but these were on the verge of being a little too much. However, I appreciate that the bar made us some crazy strong drinks, and that's a plus in my books.
To start, we chose the crab & sweet corn fritters and truiffle honey fig & prosciutto tartine. We were informed that the honey figs would be substituted for blackberries that evening, which was a slight disappointment

I only had dinner at the hotel restaurant...although my hotel-mate ordered pizza from room service multiple times so maybe that's good. The dinner selections read more interesting than they tasted. I had the crab escabeche and the gnocchi.
The crab dish was OK...well balanced but the crab just wasn't that flavorful. But perhaps I am spoiled by the blue crabs of the gulf. The gnocchi could have been really good. The blue cheese was on point and the gnocchi was well made but then both were drowned in a really heavy creamy cheese sauce. The complimentary fresh bread was delish.

Just landed and checked in for a convention, decided to hit the hotel restaurant because my 7 year old was getting hungry (and that means FIOD NOW!)
Pleasant surprise to find a great truffled sherry mushroom soup, my wife enjoyed her hummus w crudités throughly and the staff was cool to improvise a Pizza Margherita that my son was craving... Very pleasant experience, great staff and prompt service.

We visited Azure for lunch during Winterlicious. We were exhibiting at a conference in the convention center and were surprised to find that the restaurant was not at all busy during the lunch hour.
I suspect this is due in part to their service. We waited at least 5 minutes to be seated. No one appeared to be interested in seating our group of 6.
We ordered a bottle of wine and the server returned to the table nearly 10 minutes later to state they were out of this brand.
A man in our party attempted to order a glass of beer and the server seemed very unfamiliar with the beer they offered

A group of my girlfriends and I grabbed drinks here on a Sunday night. We chose this bar because it was very close to our hotel and one of the only bars opened at night.
Surprisingly, when we walked in, there were still a few patrons dining and a large group just starting to order seated close to us. Although it was late, we still received great service and our drinks were delicious! We were grateful to find a place so welcoming in the eleventh hour!

Restaurants located in hotels tend to disappoint. Azure, located inside the InterContinental Hotel, has the look and feel of a nice place, but unfortunately the drinks, food, and service don't live up to first impressions.
Service in the lounge area is painfully slow. I waited over twenty minutes for my first cocktail, and even longer for the second. No apologies either time.
Breakfast is generally hard to mess up, but the poached eggs I was served had an off taste, as did the bacon. I could barely finish my meal, but still had to shell out about $35. (I know hotel restaurants are pricey
