Services
Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
We are a full service animal hospital providing comprehensive healthcare services to pets in Ottawa and the surrounding areas. We know that your pet is a special member of your family. Your pets well being and health are extremely important to us. We provide compassionate care for all stages of yours life's.
Veterinary hospitals exist due to private enterprise. These private funds allow us to operate our hospital. We are invested in our community and it's protection in public health and the welfare of our residents. In order to continue our services and to keep providing outstanding pet care we need to ensure that complete payment is made after our services are rendered.
Our pets can't speak, they cannot tell us if they feel off or have any other indicators of internal illness. We need to examine them every 6 months as well as run some routine screening tests to detect underlying disease BEFORE it is clinically apparent. Use the age chart below to find your pets age in "people" years and the screening testing recommended for each stage of his or her life.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.

Here at Britannia Heights Veterinary Clinic, we do a thorough physical exam on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet. Pre-anesthetic blood testing is important in reducing the risk of anesthesia.

Very accommodating! My cat had an appointment today at 1:30. I called to let them know I was running late and struggling to find an Uber or Lyft who was okay with having a cat in their car.
The clinic told me as long as I arrive before 145 it would be okay. I ended up arriving at 1:52 and they still took him in. Thank you so much!

When every other vet in town was many month's long wait, too long when they come of age, we got our pets in for a spay and neuter fast. Prices were fair and service excellent

I went in to get a tick prescription for my dog and they wrote him one for a brand that they also happened to sell, so I purchased it directly from them - but had to wait as it’s on back-order. When I got home and researched the brand, I saw that the exact same tick medication was sold for a much lower price than the one I purchased from the vet. I called them to cancel the medication order and request the prescription for it so I could purchase it from elsewhere, such as Chewy, which I didn’t think would be an issue. However, I was aggressively told that they wouldn’t send me the prescription

This is a welcoming small clinic owned and operated by a single vet. Dr. Torabi and his staff are good caring people who seem to be genuinely concerned about my dog. They don't try to upsell you and they respect my approach to caring for my senior dog. I have been taking my dogs to them for several years and I will continue to do so in the future.

We have been taking our Family pets to Britannia Heights veterinary clinic since 1995. When the clinic changed hands we continued going to the clinic and are quite pleased to see that Dr. Torabi and his friendly staff continue to perform outstanding service for our two rescued companions Roxy (Black lab) and Diego. Small, local and friendly staff that perform great care, can't ask for anything more.
