Our team member Trisha is highly skilled in women's up-dos and colouring. We only use organic soap to clean towels. Our shaving process uses steamers and steamed towels. We get customers mainly from places around King and Yonge. We do have some clients coming over all the way to Ivan Hair salon just because of realtion with us and the friends they have who come here.

All kinds of haircuts, colours, shave threading Eyebrows and face, he is very expert in all kinds of jobs. Peter is a highly skilled plus 20 years stylist. With grass roots stemming from the slopes of Canada, his international experience bring an edge to his skill as a Senior Stylist. He specializes in short haircuts (both men and women), from classic to edgy, colour highlights and blondes, retexturing and color corrections.
I've been with Ivan Hair Salon since 2007 when I worked just a block away. At that time I decided to try a professional barber shop after some "too creative" cuts from expensive and fancy salons. I went on a busy Saturday, without an appointment, and was seen within 15 minutes. The cut was very neat with lots of attention paid to tidying up and preventing stray hair from going down your collar or getting onto your clothes.

Best in the area. The prices are great, better than anything else in downtown, they give good haircuts, and the place is nice and old-school. The staff is super friendly and even with their interactions among themselves, they create a pretty welcoming atmosphere.

They have the nicest customer service I have ever experienced at a hair salon. Not only did they squeeze me in for the time I wanted (even though it was too hectic for their schedule), they also gave me a water bottle to-go since it was hot day. Very affordable too. I love them, they have such a traditional barber shop vibe. Highly recommended. I'm going again next time I need a trim

Visited this place for a wash+cut+style service after reading all the reviews on Google.
They absolutely did not disappoint. Connie gave me the haircut and it was really fun talking to her through the haircut. I'm very happy with my hair. It looks much better than it used to. Thanks Connie!!

I stopped by Ivan Hair Salon for a haircut while visiting Toronto.
Sarah the hairdresser did a fantastic job and was friendly.
What made the experience even better was the wonderful gentleman who greeted me upon entering the shop (I believe he was the owner), he offered water, candy and even held my jacket while I was getting my haircut.
Thanks for a wonderful experience, if I didn't live over 16,200 KM away i'd be a regular customer.

Went there yesterday for the first time. I was a bit scared as they generally deal with male clients. But boy was I wrong. I was greeted by a sweet girl at front who had the stylist Sarah do my hair. She did a fantastic job, I was so impressed. Its a clean professional cut. I highly recommend this place for men and women. They have incredible prices and great customer service. So happy I found this little gem, it's so close to work!!

My second time at Ivan's. I should have made an appointment but they were still nice enough to take me and was able to get Lina to cut my hair again. I recently moved to the area so feel quite lucky to have found this place and Lina after only a few tries !!! I would definitely recommend this place but do call ahead during the week.

The proprietor, San San, is really sweet and has been here for decades (Ted Rogers and Conrad Black got their hair cuts here). Ive tried lots of places when I first moved down town for work, found this place and never went anywhere else again. Have sat in many peoples chairs and they're all fantastic.

My god. I've never had such an insulting hair cut. The dude constantly kept telling me how terrible my last hair cut was and how this time, "we will make you look like you actually paid money for your hair cut." I remember this line word for word. Red flag number 1, because my last hair cut was awesome (lots of compliments) and wasn't from this establishment.
He then proceeded to cut the sides of my hair, and then take thinning shears to the top of my head (did not cut the top at all) Then after 8 minutes total, called it a day. I told him it should be shorter on the top, and

I've found my new favourite place!
Just came back from the shop, rocking a great haircut.
Their customer service is top notch. I was offered to help take my jacket off, then given a bottle of water to drink and Peter got working on my haircut with no hesitation.
I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he's exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be coming back here again.
Make sure you leave a generous tip - they deserve it!

Peter was an absolute WIZARD with the shears!!! He was also super-friendly and very professional! He is a great conversationalist, but I also observe him as being very respectful and comfortable / quiet around someone who is shy or less talkative.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the place is quite small, so I was glad I came in at this particular time /day of the week, as I am sure that

Went in here for a quick haircut, but man was I disappointed. Ben's a good conversationalist and very quick, but it wasn't a great haircut. Granted it was only $20 dollars, but it seems he paid a lot more attention to the right side than the left.
I had gel put in so I didn't notice until I got home, and after showering I could clearly see that the left portion of hair was at least a cm longer than the right.
The crappy $10 haircuts I used to get at supercuts were at least even! I probably could have gone back to get it tidied up, but I don't live super close so I ended up

I find it disturbing that there are 15 four and five star reviews of this establishment that Yelp has hidden from public view. I will most certainly be much more wary of Yelps unreliable and misleading star system in future. This establishment should have a five star rating based on the filtered reviews. Shame on you yelp.ca. Totally misleading rating system.

This is one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. Ben cut my hair. It is evident that he didn't know what he was doing as he sheared my hair, sometimes without looking. When I left my hair was uneven and looked completely ridiculous. I feel embarrassed for him.
I would advise anyone to stay away from this place.
