Seeking support is an act of courage. Taking this step will move you further along your path to change, enhanced wellness and feeling empowered. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over 20 years of rehabilitation counselling experience. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families in Greater Victoria and the Comox Valley.
People come to counselling for many different reasons, some of which include: relationship struggles; stress, anxiety, and depression; crisis due to loss or trauma; grief and bereavement; self esteem issues; difficulty staying at or returning to work following injury; chronic illness or pain; and weight issues and eating disorders.

Services
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology. My therapeutic experience is varied and spans three decades. Primarily, I have focused on the areas of physical and occupational rehabilitation, chronic pain and illness, stress management, injury prevention, and wellness promotion.
Depending on your needs and preferences, I offer both short term (6-12 sessions) and long term (greater than 12 sessions) counselling and psychotherapy services. My fees are based on guidelines recommended by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I provide one to one support to teenagers and adults of all ages.
Encountering challenging life situations is normal. While you might have successfully managed or even overcome some struggles in the past, it is okay to reach out for help when you think you can't do it alone. Seeking support demonstrates that you have enough self-awareness to recognize when you need it.
Throughout my own journey, including two decades of working as a therapist in various settings, I have repeatedly observed the natural capacity of humans to transform and heal themselves. Similarly, I have experienced time and again the powerful healing qualities of a strong connection between therapist and client.
It can be challenging to find a counsellor with whom you feel sufficiently comfortable and safe to share your struggles and experiences. There are many options to choose from, and counsellors have a broad range of training, experience, and approaches. Perhaps you feel like you've tried everything and 'been there, done that.'
