Haven't been to a hair salon in 7 years and that's because my last experience was absolutely horrible!! But I found this place and I couldn't be any more happier! I had Cassandra and she was so amazing. Very friendly to talk to, her vibes were so nice and she was really cool! She listened to exactly what I wanted, and we even did the "bun test" to see if my hair was still long enough to be put up! My hairstyle came out exactly the way I wanted it! I'm so happy about it and I always recommend this place now! But unfortunately with everything closing soon, I pray that

Had the worst experience. I came in looking for a nice grey and silver hair style. Like an ombre. I got all silver barely any grey and the grey I have is choppy and barely there at all. Then I paid $220 dollars for something I didn't even want and three hours of sitting in the chair. He didn't try to give me a deal at all. "colour is hard" apparently too hard for them to do. I am very unhappy. His name is Jimmy.

I decided to try out Lather based on this site's good reviews, especially those for Jimmy. Am I ever glad I did! Jimmy is absolutely fantastic. He dyed my hair and gave me the best cut I have ever had! I am thrilled! I keep looking in the mirror because I can't believe how good it looks! I won't go to another hairdresser now. Thanks Jimmy!

I spoke with Jimmy on a last minute decision to get highlights while visiting Calgary. He was able to accommodate me for the same day and I'm so glad to have had Lorra as my stylist! She's patient and beyond amazing. She created what I could only think of in my head and couldn't describe well. I was a little anxious since the stylist in California really messed up on my hair a year ago, but I'm SO glad I went to Lather salon!!
It's just going to be one heck of a commute for a redo!

I am new to Calgary and this was the first hair salon I tried out. When I showed up for my appointment, they had said they called me to rebook it for the next day but actually called the wrong client. A girl said she would fit me in. I showed her a picture of what I wanted (really blonde highlights with brown hair) and she said she could definitely… do that. I thought it was awesome she made time for me as the girl who was supposed to do my hair had left for the evening. What I didn’t find awesome was it was not what I wanted. Jimmy fixed my horrible cut from a different salon and the last cut he gave me before that was one of my favorites. He's the best stylist I've ever had in Calgary. Even with the commute, it's totally worth it to go to Lather. I've learned my lesson and won't be going anywhere else from now on. Consistently the best cut you can get in town.
