I've always had a love affair with curls. Maybe because I have them myself. It's what drew me to hairstyling. I never accepted the limits that were offered. Being an apprentice in the 90's, the era of the flat iron, I took it up on myself to learn all there was to know about curly hair. No two curls are created equal even on one client.

My hair career began long before my professional one. At the age of six, I can remember sitting next to my Oma watching Hockey Night in Canada. She would yell at the TV something about Wendel baby (Wendel Clark was her crush), while I would be brushing and putting rollers in my doll's hair. My passion for hair continued through my teenage years where I did my own hair as well as my family and friends.
Hair Sprung is the best salon I have been to due to the fact that Alissa is knowledgeable about curly hair. I have not come across this yet. I am very picky and nervous when it comes to hair cuts and styling because I have not found anyone that can spring my curls into place. The cut was amazing and she kept my hair long as I wanted.

I went to Hairsprung for the first time today to see Alyssa for my curly hair. As a guy I'm hard pressed to find someone in your typical barber shops that know what to do with the curls. Alyssa has tons of experience with them and really knew what she was doing. I almost never love a haircut and this is the exception. 5/5. I'll definitely be back to see her In the future. Also worth mentioning they take health and safety seriously. Treat yo self.

I have been going to Alissa for years after she first started working in the Junction. If I have anything bad to say it's that she is so popular that sometimes it's hard to get an appointment! I would rather wait for Alyssa than go anywhere else. I have thick way/curly hair and Alyssa undersands how to cut it so that it will look good after I wash it and do it myself. A lot of stylists can make you look great but her haircuts seem to make my hair grow out beautifully. So worth it!

I've been three times now and each experience has been better than the last. Alissa knows what she's talking about and is very willing to work with you and with your hair type. My hair is very thick and a difficult wavy-curly texture, and I've had a lot of terrible hair cuts in my life. Alissa has been wonderful and I'm so happy with my hair these days!

After an exhaustive search visiting salons over the city, a friend recommended Hair Sprung two years ago and I've been a very happy client ever since! Alissa is amazing at cutting my thick, wavy hair (I always get compliments after a cut!) and the staff are friendly and talented as well. Highly recommend!

She did some teaching with me and recommended products. The atmosphere was a "Queen West" vibe and I was offered an amazing cranberry tea on my arrival. The price is reasonable in comparison to other salons who do "qui dad" or "deva" cuts

After reading the reviews on Yelp and checking out websites, I narrowed my choices for my haircut down to two Junction area spots. There are lots of salons along the strip, but many of them are beyond my price range. Hair Sprung was actually my second choice of the two, but the other one couldn't fit me in on the day I was hoping for so I came here.
I saw the junior stylist, who was lovely and willing to spend time to show me how to style the cut he gave me. I've been getting lots of compliments on my hair since it was done!
