I have been in private practice since 1986, offering in-depth, client-centred psychotherapy. In 1988 I became actively involved in the founding of the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors, a regulatory body that sets the standards of the counselling profession of British Columbia. I remain a committed and active member in good standing.
My areas of specialty are relationships and marital issues, grief and loss, mid-life issues, life transitions, healing from loss and trauma, personal growth and historical sexual abuse. I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria. I have had extensive training in emotionally focused therapy for couples and utilize a variety of empathetic, somatic and cognitive approaches.
Since 1989 I've had the privilege and pleasure of serving men and women, individuals and couples, from 18 to 89, in my private practice. My clinical practice has included both short-term solution focused counselling and longer-term psychotherapy. More recently I've enjoyed expanding my practice to include coaching.
