The Cellar Salon was established by celebrity stylist and television personality, Aaron O'Bryan. We are located downtown, Toronto in the affluent, energetic and diverse Cabbagetown area. At the Cellar we believe in creating specialized hair art for each individual's personality and particular physical attributes.
Each person is unique and deserves the utmost attention to detail when we create their personal look. The Cellar is a safe space where you can feel comfortable, listened to and most of all special. Enjoy uninterrupted bliss with your own television a choice of beverages and private access in and out of the patio area. At The Cellar Salon we respect each individual and their right to privacy, whether it be for religious reasons or a personal journey like hair loss. The Private Room was created to not only provide peace and quiet but to accommodate every individuals needs.
Please be aware that our Trainee stylists are currently learning and longer appointment times are to be expected. Patience and understanding is much appreciated when going to our talented stylists in training. We will always provide exceptional service and our stylist only provide services in which they have been extensively trained to do.
Perfect extensions demand a perfect bond system. Revolutionary keratin bonds and the technology used to apply them make Great Lengths superior to competitors. Great Lengths bond is comprised of a synthesized keratin that mimics the molecular structure of human hair. The bond is activated and attached using a Great Lengths applicator.
Hair Loss can be a stressful road and can turn your life upside down. When dealing with hairloss its always hard to figure out what the best option is for you and what will suit your lifestyle. At The Cellar Salon we pride ourselves on creating a personal experience in our private room, where we guide you through your hair restoration journing.
The Cellar requires a $75 deposit on all services over $150. This deposit will be taken immediately and returned to you if you cancel within a 48 hr period. If you re-book your appointment your deposit will be kept and taken off your final bill after your service is complete. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy, if we receive late cancellations we do charge 50% of the total bill.

As an Irish lady living in Toronto , I’ve always been careful with trusting my hair to just anyone . I’ve been very fortunate to connect with Leanne at The Cellar . She not only provides an amazing cut & colour , she is so ethical and provides the service you actually need . I’m all about the cut … I work in healthcare & and am busy so my haircare is literally a wash & go ( AOB shampoo & conditioner shout out ) and with that fact , I’m getting compliments on my cut daily , even now a month later & continue to do as time goes by .

I found The Cellar Salon after much time crosschecking reviews with vaccine policies. It was great to attend a business that has clearly gone to great lengths to provide a safe environment for their customers and staff. I had a short/fade cut with September and am supremely happy with the results. I appreciated September's patience in listening to me explain what I was going for and then the attention to detail to deliver one of the best cut's I've had in a long time. I have been going to the cellar salon for the past couple of years and I love it! First of all the staff here are super friendly and welcoming and amazing at their job. Since the pandemic they have gone above and beyond to make their clients feel as safe as they possibly could. I will continue to support them after their brave decision to make vaccinations a requirement for staff and customers to enter their premises. Good job guys!!

I got a balayage by Jeff and cut by September done, and could not be happier with the results! The lockdowns we have had this year have been hard on me, especially when it came to my hair. This is why being able to go to treat myself here has made me especially happy.
I came in twice this year with level 1 hair (black box dye hair) and was so happy I did! Not only did I see fantastic results from Aaron who transformed my black hair into a beautiful warm balayage in September and Leanne who made my hair a bit cooler a couple of months later but I was treated like a queen from the beginning until the end.

This review is long over-due. I went there the last October. Based on what I had read online I called well ahead of time and booked an appointment with a senior stylist for a haircut. On the appointment day I left work an hour early to be at the salon on time and arrived there ten minutes ahead of my appointment only to be told that the stylist could not make it and she was sick since morning. When I said why didn't they inform me earlier in the day the receptionist said she had been busy since morning and she did not get time, but she "kindly" gave me the option to go ahead with

Been here twice so far and both experiences have been awesome. From the time I went into the Salon until I left I was looked after so well. There is also a drink menu which is a nice treat!

Came here a month ago and the service was great. My stylist was John and he did a great job. To be honest it wasn't the color I originally wanted but what we attained at the end was actually tons better.
I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair color before!!

I'm a nervous salon goer due to bad experiences, but there was one time I loved a visit and I'm 99% sure Aaron was the manager or owner there too (Kearns & co wayyy back in 2014 when I did my first hair donation). Huge coincidence that I am to stumble across this salon and it's the only one since 2014 that I've actually felt excited about my hair upon leaving.

I'll be back, for sure! I walked in with long hair in a tangled too-long heap, and came out with lots of length still AND healthy-looking, bouncy tresses. Could not be more pleased. Bryan was totally respectful and did exactly what I asked. I would definitely trust his skill and expertise again. I had the benefit of the introductory special (what a bargain), but can say these people are worth the regular fees. Kind, professional staff that care about your experience. The staff here are incredible! After a few messages out to businesses, this salon messaged back right away and slotted me in to a cancellation. The stylist did a great job but after getting it blown out I realized it was a bit brighter than I had expected. Without question, they slotted me back in and fixed it right up. Anyone whose familiar with this salon and Aarons popularity would know you need to book atleast 3 months in advance if not more. I did the same and reminder fell off my calendar. Most salons send either a call/mail/message reminder to confirm but not cellar. They called me on the day off 30mins after my appointment to remind me I missed it. I apologized because I felt bad for missing their appointment time. I was asked for a 50% charge for late cancellation. They apparently send email reminders because this keeps happening with them but didn't have my email on record. I don't think anyone

I am so glad I discovered Aaron. He is a true artist when it comes to colour. I have put my trust in him 3 times for a Balayage colouring and each time I'm blown away. The new Yorkville location is gorgeous with attention to detail creating a salon making you feel like home as soon as you walk in and are welcome to sit in the seating area with a fresh brew brought to you with the option of watching Netflix on a tablet. What could be better ! congrats on the new location and amazing group of staff !

Go here. Trust me; I'm not a doctor, but I am pretty fussy when it comes to my hurr.
The Plus Points:
-The staff here are fantastic. They communicate clearly, give appointment reminders and always take tonnes of time with you before the scissors even touches your hair.
-It's a cool little salon in the basement of another business. Funky!
-Coffee. The coffee is amazing!
My story: I was nearly an hour late for my appointment [I know, I know!]. Blame a major car rental disaster, coupled with bad traffic and someone hacking my bank account for that one. But they handled it wonderfully

I can't recommend Aaron enough.
I have been living in Toronto for three years and in that time have spent so much money (more than I care to admit ) on trying to find a hairdresser that can do blonde highlights correctly.
I have been left with orange roots, thick highlights , patchy highlights. This was going to high end $alons
I came across The Cellar salon online and after reading Aaron was trained in Europe I booked right away. The salon itself is fab, friendly relaxed and very comfortable.

Aaron is one of the best colourists I've ever had! I kept changing colours every 6-12 months because I was never happy with what I had. And I get bored easily. But since he did my last balayage colour a year ago, I haven't wanted to change it because it looks so good! He is great about telling you what will work for your hair. I love the hair masking service which is basically a roots touch up at the top and front of my head, but cheaper than a full head roots colour, it's way more economical and is perfect for extending the life of my colour. Love it!
