We ended up at the Nightingale on a referral from a friend. The food was amazing the service was ok, there was room for improvement. The lower section would be my preference to sit in next time for the ambience of the decor and bar. We were walk in so we took what we could get. Their pizza looks amazing and I would defiantly order next time. One thing I was put off on was one of the employees was helping himself to sips of wine, not cool for clients to witness. I was surprised that the dress attire of the staff was super casual, all the way down to track pants. A restaurant of this caliber I would

What a gorgeous two level restaurant. Tastefully elegant and minimalist chic. The food is absolutely delicious and leaves you wanting for nothing. We shared the pork cheek dish, brussel sprouts and the lovely twist on a Hawaiian pizza. Well proportioned for two people with plenty left for a snack later.

Thank you Deanna for fantastic service, the perfect level of attention without hovering. And to the bartender whose name we didn't catch for lovely wine service. The Cheateau des tour Gamay is a must have accompaniment to the evening.

Highly recommend trying to make reservations in advance as this restaurant is very popular for good reason. We were last minute and did not; but, we were lucky enough to squeeze in a party of two at the bar. Really great service and funny lads at the bar.

Things we tried:
Grilled broccolini, chili flakes, ginger lime vinaigrette 3.5/5
Buttermilk fried chicken, spiced maple syrup, sumac, pickles 5/5
Pizza - Prosciutto, roasted pear, taleggio, walnuts 4/5
Spaghetti, manila clam, jalapeno, scallion, white wine 3.5/5
Nightingale martini 3.5/5

The buttermilk fried chicken was really well done. I

LOVED Nightingale, 10/10 would recommend and have recommended to everyone and anyone. During happy hour, make sure to get the fried chicken and any pizza - delicious!!
I came for a birthday celebration and had lots of amazing food. The baba ghanoush is better at Nuba but the mushroom dish was AMAZING, along with the tortelloni! Would go again and try many more things. I literally crave nightingale everyday.

Good atmosphere and friendly staffs. We ordered a couple of small dishes and a pizza. The pizza was a little bit salty but the dough was so tasty.
The cocktails were the best in town. My sister and I were planning to order only one cocktails on Sunday evening since we had a glass of Rosé already, but we ended up ordered two cocktails each.
Their cocktails are like a fine perfume, we enjoyed them the top, middle and base notes with every single sip.
It has been a week since I had their cocktails, I miss them. I will definitely be back soon for the cocktails.

First off, I would highly recommend taking the skytrain here instead of driving. Mistakes were made.

Once we saw the menu, our stress from driving through rush hour traffic and searching for parking evaporated. I don't know how anyone can browse their menu without salivating heavily. Their menu is extensive with everything from various land and sea animals, vegetables, pizzas, pastas, and desserts.

My favourite item was their buttermilk fried chicken. I was really hesitant to order fried chicken at a restaurant like this, but our server told us it was the most popular item on the menu

Overall it was ok, think conversation made it better. Small space and tables limited to two or four. Service not very accommodating to bigger groups. Not even to sit your group near each other. Very disappointing. But food and drinks were good.

The place was really really nice on the inside and has such a cool ambience. Firstly there was no covid spacing at the bar where I was sat. I was elbow to elbow with other guests. I happened to be there during happy hour and ordered the beet salad. It was very interesting because it had everything but the bagel seasoning on it? Nothing mind blowing about this salad in fact it almost felt like there wasn’t much of a flavour to it. I also got the side of fries as well and they were alright. maybe something off the regular menu would explain why this place is the place to be! The service was good

If you are visiting downtown Vancouver this place needs to be on your list. Food and cocktails are amazing. I was not able to make dinner reservations ( need to make far in advance), so appetizers and cocktails it was. We had the ‘Paper Plane’ and ‘Bramble’ cocktails which were amazing (especially loved the paper plane ) , and for appetizers enjoyed the Buttermilk fried chicken and warm marinated , spiced olives. I am not kidding when I say it was by far the best fried chicken we have ever had. I would love to know how they were able to cook it so light and not greasy … every detail of

Came here because it was featured on the Netflix movie "Always be my maybe" and unfortunately will not be coming here again. The portions are ridiculously tiny despite them claiming it's "family style." Yea... if your family consisted of 2 people. Taste wise it was pretty basic. I can't say anything blew my mind or was out of the ordinary except the pot de creme (but it cost $12). For such a fancy place, the waitresses are all dressed too casually - jeans and sneakers. The decor is nice, but the food and atmosphere does not match the price point.

Just as Jesus filled his disciples cups with wine did this little joint fill my belly.

I was thoroughly thrilled by the choosing of the Birds. An age old tradition I got to experience here that I also experienced many times in Russia. I spent 3 years in Russia studying abroad and not once did I expect to find this here. I very much enjoy hand selecting the bird that I will feast on. I chose a great aquamarine one and gave it my grandfathers name before allowing the chef to prepare it in the most tasty manner.

I highly recommend this delectable locale and will be returning for the chartreuse

The food here is exceptional. Every dish we tried was so good that we couldn't get enough of it.

It is family style dish so the idea is to share with others at table. This allowed us to order lot of variety of dishes and each one did it disappoint.

Obviously, there were dishes that delighted us more but none of the dishes disappointed us.

As we were settling our bill, we were discussing what we will be trying next time when we come.

The ambience is mellow and soft lighting was inviting.

We will definitely 110% will be going back!!!

Nightingale was fantastic. From the warm service to the delicious food, nearly everything about it was perfect.

We tried a puebla-something cocktail which sounded good on paper but was watery and boring in reality. For food, we started with the cauliflower which I found forgettable, wishing that it had been more roasted.

Thankfully, the rest of the dishes were so good that it made up for a rocky start. The chorizo pizza was some of the best I've had in Canada - the crust and sauce were perfectly balanced from a flavour and texture perspective. The clam spaghetti was wonderful as well. And

We celebrated our anniversary today at Nightingale. Glad we booked a table for lunch because the dinner time was so popular and we couldn’t make reservation. Our waitress ANNA is nice, helpful and very warm-hearted. We are impressed by her sense of humor also. The food is authentic as usual. The pork cheek was very tender and tasty. However for people never tried Korean style fried chicken before, the buttermilk fried chicken will be fantastic. Otherwise I would save some stomach for the dessert. Lots of guests ordered their famous pizza, but we have only two persons so may leave for the next

Food and drinks were hit or miss. I enjoyed the pizza and broccolini. The beets were a bit too drenched in sauce and the pasta was cooked well but flavour was just salty. But the service made up for it. Drinks were excellent. Fantastic guest bartender. Other one was great too!

Absolutely phenomenal in every way. Our service, from the hosts to the server and management was absolutely top notch. They helped with all of our questions, marked the menu for all of our allergies, and gave us time to talk and recommend things we were looking for. The food was sublime and the drinks were extremely well made. Absolutely will be back and recommend to anyone and everyone looking for great tapas and drinks! Thank you so much to the team at Nightingale for the memorable experience, we will for sure be back again!!

Went here for a friends birthday and the both of us thoroughly enjoyed our time and meal at Nightingale.
The watermelon salad was delicious and interesting to begin with but I found it better as a cleanse between all the other foods we were eating.
The fried chicken was okay, the spiced maple syrup tasted like chutney on the chicken so I didn’t find it as good as other reviews have mentioned.
The halibut ceviche was amazing, nice acidity balanced with the chip. It was a hit between the both of us.
The steak and pork were delicious, it was very well prepared!
Lastly the deserts were lovely

Great food!!!

From the outside this restaurant is gorgeous as it is currently decorated with flowers. When you step in you will be greeted right away. The restaurant is big and 2 floors.

Buttermilk chicken was great. The right amount of crunch and a delicious sweet/salty mix. Pair this with the sweet potato dish and you have an amazing meal. I also ordered the flatiron steak which I feel is a must-have as well. The flavor is good and the mushrooms are a nice touch. Also ordered their margharitta pizza and a pale ale and Pilsen.

I suggest going for happy hour. Or even just catching the end

Nightingale is the sister company of Hawksworth, boasting a seasonal menu and upscale ambiance at a price point slightly easier on the wallet.

Hands down, you must order the Halibut Ceviche ($19) and Buttermilk Fried Chicken ($18) as starters. The ceviche offers a delightful array of flavours and textures, with its fresh cubes of halibut, diced tomatoes, creamy avocado, crisp plantain chips, and a splash of citrus juice to awaken the taste buds. Though the halibut shone through, it was the plantain chips that provided the creative spin to such a popular dish. Speaking of popular, the fried chicken

Happy Hour! Their menu is small but impressive! Baked sweet potato with habanero hot sauce is a fantastic complement to the sweetness of the potato. Pickled shallot, bacon bits and creme fraiche make this beautifully balanced. Buttermilk fried chicken with a spiced maple syrup. Sooooo good! I've never tried baba ghanouj before but I'm a fan! It paired well with the sourdough. Might need another slice of ! Their margherita pizza and baked in their wood-stone pizza oven. Simple ingredients done well! For my "dessert"I ordered their Bramble which is gin, blackberry and . A

It's Friday night and it's a start of a hot summer days to come in Vancouver. To start of the weekend, we came to Nightingale for happy hour and seated at pop up patio outside. It was a hot and beautiful day and why not eat outside? I love the flowers on Nightingale's entrance.

The pop-up patio was nice and we were quickly seated at a table for two. My hubby order a drink, "bramble" with gin, blackberry and lemon; it was refreshing. First snack was baba ghanouj and it's my favourite! Great flavours on sourdough bread. Next was backed sweet potatoe and it was

Popped in here while walking by. They were able to fit us in. Had the brussels, bok choy, pork cheek and fried chicken plus a bramble cocktail.

Cocktail was fresh and so good. Would absolutely return for this alone. Veggies were delicious, even my kids loved them which was awesome because they packed a lot of flavor too. The friend chicken was so good, mY be the best I've ever had. The pork was a miss for me. Super soft but more retirement home texture lol. Flavour lacking too though my son disagreed and loved it. Even with this dish an absolutely excellent meal. Would definitely return

I have to say Nightingale will be my new go to spot in Vancouver. Despite operating under restrictions I still managed to have a fantastic meal, amazing cocktails and great service!

I would highly recommend the Bramble cocktail. Probably the best one I've ever had!

Fyi -Their dishes are definitely best for sharing and everything was made perfectly! We tried the spot prawn feature to start-highly recommend.

Also, if you're a fried chicken kind of person definitely make sure you get an order at Nightingale. It was to die for!

This is a very nice, cute, and classy restaurant. I shared a small dish with my friend; it was the halibut ceviche, yuzu, cucumber, avocado, and puffed wild rice! Wow, I absolutely loved it! I would 100% come back just for this dish, haha.

We also tried a pizza, which was the margherita, san marzano tomato, mozzarella, basil. That, I wouldn't recommend- not so great. Maybe the other pizzas taste better, but I don't think I'd order pizza here again.

We came on a a weekend early evening and decided to sit at the patio. We don't recall they have a patio the previous times we came. It turns out the patio is a pop up patio that was set up outside between the office buildings. Compared to the interior of the restaurant, the pop up patio was disappointing with no sort of ambience, decor, or view.

We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken, trottole, and baked Arctic char. Unfortunately, they no longer have the duck ragu or roasted brussel sprouts, which we were a tad upset about.

The buttermilk fried chicken was sooo juicy. It had a crunchy
