Family owned restaurant. Great service and delicious food. Everyone there treats you like family and you leave feeling good about the food and the experience. I'd recommend this place to anyone, that's why I bring all of my friends here. Excellent food, the dal makhani is my favourite but everything I've tried has been excellent.

I regret that I have been passing by this restaurant for 11 years but didn't try. The last week visit truly surprised me. Everything is very well done. The vibe, seat, light and bgm are just right.
My chicken briyani tasted great, although I didn't realize that the tandoori chicken also have rice in it which resulted in a bit leftover.
The only sad thing is that they just announced that they will close in Jan 23. I wish I could have more time with this amazing restaurant

Came here on several occasions with my boyfriend the past few weeks and honestly, it’s our favourite Indian restaurant in town. So glad to have found this. Their lamb biryani is so well seasoned and the lamb is so tender, it almost ‘melts’ in your mouth. If you don’t like too many veggies in your biryani, you can ask to get it customised! The garlic naan is another favourite. I’d also highly recommend their lunch thalis! Two people can feast for under $75. This family-run establishment is welcoming and very comfy to dine in. If you’re clueless about where to start with Indian food,

Had a memorable experience at Raga's tonight! First, the food was mind blowing. But mostly we really appreciated chatting with the owner and get to know him a bit. You can tell that he wants his customers to have a great experience and that he cares about providing high quality service. We will for sure come back when we are in Vancouver and would highly recommend. Thanks Raj for the chat!

Guys you have to visit this restaurant. Food is so tasty I can't wait to go back again. Staff is super friendly and nice. They have more vegetarian option for veg people. I can't emphasize the tasty food enough. This is the first Indian restaurant I visited where food and ambience both are perfect. It is perfect for any occasion. Highly recommended. I love this place. Already told so many people about it.

The curry and naan are pretty tasty. But to be honest they weren’t amazing and definitely not top ten curry I’ve had. It should be noted the portions are pretty small, compared to currys I’ve had elsewhere. The onion bahji was dry and cold and disappointing. However I would try their takeaways again as there is some discount with pick up order.

Was so happy to try the butter chicken curry for the first time. It was delicious and flavorful. Also, the naan was very soft and beautifully go well with the butter chicken curry. I recommend trying the lunch special(available until 2pm). You get curry, beans, rice, naan, tandoori chicken and dessert for $15.
The owner told me it's a family business and they have been there for a long time. He also said that night is always busier. Can't wait to go back there to try more dishes! 10/10!

To be honest I had seen this place around for years and years and always thought it looked nice but empty. Granted I wasn't usually in the area around the normal meal rush hours, but it made me never think twice about trying it. When I finally did, I ended up going back two more times within a week. It's that good. I mean honestly, you open up the menu and right off the bat you see the fact that they got ranked in the top 10 Indian restaurants outside of India. This is no false claim. It's that good.
Vegetable pakora is like my main go to for an appetizer at most Indian restaurants, but I think

Flavorful and tasty foods, quick service, and a impeccably clean environment. Our server was very helpful and professional: offered recommendations, alternative combos, and asked us very diplomatically whether we were hoping to have leftovers (he felt we may have been ordering too many dishes for the table - and he was right).
The food quality was great! Stuffed naan was delicious - couldn't taste the dried mango but the signature stuffed chicken one was tasty! Tandoori chicken was delicious smoky from the grill and juicy inside. Lamb masala was good, eggplant bharta was okay. Overall I think

Delicious food and impeccable service every time!
The owner Raj is so friendly. In our conversations he told us the restaurant has been here for over 35 years! They pride themselves for using authentic cooking methods. One of their specialties is Malai Kofta, a delectable vegetarian dish.
We enjoy both the dining-in experience, and having their food at home. It is always a very satisfying experience.
This restaurant, their service and the food come highly recommended.

Lots of vegan options here. Most of their vegetarian items can be made vegan (make sure to ask if there's dairy), so we decided to try them out for dinner take-out. We ordered the Bhindi Masala, Aloo Gobhi, and Veg Jalfrezi ($13.95-14.95 each plus tax). Everything was ready in under half an hour.
Though we asked for it medium-spicy, I'd say it was more like mild-medium. Each dish was very nicely flavoured and generously portioned. The Bhindi and Jalfrezi were particularly tasty. I wouldn't say any of the dishes blew us away, but they were all extremely tasty. If you phone in your

Placed a takeout order from this place. I was looking forward to trying it seeing as they had been around for awhile and seemed like it would be tasty no authentic Indian food, but boy oh boy was I wrong. I ordered the chili chicken and as soon as I opened the takeout box I knew it was going to be dreadful. The colour alone made me want to puke. It was such a bright red it looked like they put food colouring in it. It stained my fingers thats how potent it was. Now for the taste test. It was so acidic I couldn't eat it. It legitimately tasted like ketchup and the thickness of the sauce was

I am so pleased I tried Raga, because I think this may be my new go-to Indian place! I tried a few vegetarian curries, and they were all delicious. The veggie korma was more tomatoey than I usually expect from a korma, but delicious nonetheless. The saag aloo was the best I've had in a long time - I couldn't stop eating it! Portion sizes were good - I had leftovers for days after. The restaurant very kindly included some pakoras and extra breads for me to try, which was such a lovely surprise! I'll definitely order from Raga again soon

Used to be one of my fav restaurants. Unfortunately tonight, very long wait for food, super oily lamb curry and aloo ghobi. The latter was a good portion size and flavourful. But the lamb curry was a small portion (enough for only 2 small servings) and very little lamb. However the lamb pulled apart easily. Flavour was average. Moderate heat. Raita is one of the best in the city. Papadum was flavourless. For the price, there are better restaurants.

I cannot even begin explain how amazing this place is.
Firstly they have the BEST Indian food on the planet! It's simply the best; flavor, portion, price and authenticity!
Second the owners are the most caring people I have ever come across in business. They value their clients, remember your visits and even ask you questions about what you talked about last time you dined!
This is a true testament of small business and how it should be run!

Love their vegetable korma! Tastes like vegetarian butter chicken. The sauce is thick, smooth, and flavourful
The service is super good too. Our food all came at once within 15 mins. Water is always filled, and our server even suggested us the suitable portion size for my boyfriend and me.
The dining area is quiet with soft Indian music on the background. Perfect for the time when I just want to relax and enjoy a quality Indian meal after a long day of work

My boyfriend and I drove past the restaurant awhile back. The comment was made about the cool looking restaurant so we recently made the trip to try the restaurant for the very first time.
Full disclosure: I am not the biggest fan of spicy food, but I am a fan of trying new things. Tried the lamb korma on the mildest spiciness setting (so I was told) and it was delicious with a spiciness that lingered. The level of spiciness was bearable, which means by regular standards it was very mild.
The restaurant itself was quiet with a few tables occupied the entire time we were there, but I attributed

AWESOME PLACE !!!
They have dish on their menu...Mango Paneer Curry.....two amazing things put together and it did not disappoint. It's a tad sweet, so stay away from it if you dont prefer sweet. I loved it. Naan was wonderful. I also got a complimentary desert which was nice. Wonderful food and wonderful service.

Was around the area and felt like Indian food. Went on yelp and saw this place, but we had our doubts. Walked in at around 7.30pm on a Tuesday night. Only 3 tables were filled. Was offered the corner booth to sit down which I liked. Ordered a raga tandoori special dinner, butter chicken, garlic naan and chicken briyani. The papadums came with sevice which surprised us... Expectations increased. Then the chicken briyani came. Took a bite. Smiled and couldn't wait for the rest. Then the butter chicken and the dinner special arrived.... Expectations met!!!! Which the fragrance of the garlic naan

The food was well cooked. But it was not that spicy as i expected like other indian restaurants it was not hot at all.
We had chicken tandoori half chicken.and raga combo.
The food was in a really good portion.
But price-wise that restaurant is a pricy restaurant .
The raga combo was $23 and tandoori was i guess $17.
Their service was really good and they were sp friendly.
The interior is not that chick tho.
But its a good place to try when u crave indian food.

We had heard that Indian food is really good in Vancouver so we yelped Raga since Vij's was a little too pricy for us. We came in at 12:30 and the place was empty, but within 5 minutes, several other parties came in.
FOOD:
- saag aloo - spinach and potato, this is what I usually get at Indian places. I ordered the spicy level but it barely registered for me. Very good and the potatoes were cooked perfectly.
- lunch combo - this came with tandoori chicken, naan, butter chicken, lentil soup, basmati rice, vegetable fritters (I forget the name) and cold pudding. A LOT of food for the price and
