We decided to be a little adventurous wanting to try out a restaurant. When we look at the google review and Yelp it looked a little promising. So we decided to give it a shot.
It is definitely a place for date night or happy hour. The vibe and the atmosphere is amazing.
Food. Dum dum dum. Here is my honest review.
Appetizers was to die for. Must order Chinois Prawn. It does pack a little bite of heat but enough that makes you wanting to crave for more. It was probably the highlight of the night. 5/5 for the prawn. FYI I almost want to lick the plate clean.

Loved it here! Great food great service!
We arrived a little early but our table wasn’t ready. They let us in and sat at the bar while our table was getting ready. The drinks were awesome with great selections. Once we got to our table the food was excellent. The tomahawk steak was one of the best. And their appetizers were really good as well. The server he was awesome and very friendly. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be going back again soon.

I have been here many times and got to say it never disappoints me! Their food, ambiance, drinks, staff are all great! It is 100% one of my go to places for a good night out with good food and drinks. In the evening it has a very upbeat social vibe, love it. Been here pre pandemic and post… still just as good! My fav of all time and its a must try is their prawn appetizer. If your vegetarian then their avocado/hummus is great too! For dinner my fav is lamb. Its cooked so well and so so tender! Also their sablefish is so good! You just cant go wrong here!

Food was fine,lacking in service forgot 2 things we ordered.Music was so loud you couldn't talk to the person next to you.Definitely a young persons diner,thought i was in a night club.I won't be back or recommend this place.
had reservations for 6.30 got in at 7.00 had to stand out in the rain,when we got in there was lots of tables,they sat us out in covered patio,was fine except the roof had a water leak on us.

Everyone knows the West Coast is the best coast for seafood - and West Oak brings that to a whole new level! The food was phenomenal! Chinois Prawns are a MUST try when you go, as well as the Warm Broccolini salad!
Fish/Scallops etc are all cooked perfectly - not overdone at all! Hospitality - exceptional! We enjoyed ourselves so much at dinner, we went back the next day for lunch!
Only complaint - by the time you get to the delicious cookies you’re already full from the amazing meal (but, you don’t want to skip dessert).

The appetizers were way better than the entrees we got. The beef carpaccio was delicious, but my lamb rack was so small and can't taste any seasoning. My boyfriend got the shrimp for his appetizer and it was 10/10 soo good. We were having our hopes up for the steak he ordered since it was huge, but the taste didn't live up to its presentation. Literally no salt lol. It was very disappointing maybe it was the chef that day idk. Aside from that, the service was great i definitely felt like I was taken cared of. This place is good if I was drinking with friends and having some appetizers

We were visiting Vancouver the weekend and stumbled across West Oak on OpenTable. Thankfully, we made a reservation at 515 on a Friday night. We were going to be late so tried calling the restaurant to let them know, but couldn't get through to anyone so messages through OpenTable with no response. We showed up at the restaurant at 533 and they had already given our table up so be on time! We also didn't realize that bar top seats were included in reservations so we weren't even able to walk in and sit at the bar top. They did end up finding us a table in the bar area (thank you

Friends took me here for a birthday treat. The ambience of the restaurant was nice 👌. Towards the evening the lights gets dimmered and music gets pumped 🙂.
Love the mussels and its sauce. Dipped bread with it was delicious! Their featured seafood platter servings was more than expected! Priced well too.
Got to love them cookies! Yummsss. Oh and their coffee drinks.
Will definitely take families and friends back here to try the rest of the food on the item.

Decent section of food, food was decent. However we waited a really long time for our food to be served, which can happen which is why people check on their food.
I asked the server if it was normal to wait almost and hour for food since it seemed like everyone around us was being served except for us. By that time I had already extended my 1 hr parking. The server politely said that he would go check in our order right away since it shouldn't take that

Usually I love this place!! Here comes the BUT !! I made a door dash order and after 30 mins of no progress (confirming order ) I called the restaurant. The girl who answered checked the machine and found my order for the 1 st time!! My $49 steak was ice cold as well as my beloved prawns from there . And I asked for no Asparagus which they decided to add anyway. Disheartened costumer

Good food and service! I really love my typical brunch staples like eggs Benedict. My server was very attentive and comfortable with answering my questions.
I had the Westcoast eggs benedict with smoked salmon. I finished every last bite and it was worth it! I had my food on the patio and it was so nice to just kick back and have brunch.
I will be back and try other items on the menu as this was nice.

Ordered off Uber Eats. The food is absolutely amazing. Every dish was great. All of the sauces were especially good. I drank it all up after we were done. The prawns had this lovely slightly sweet and very savoury sauce. I think that was my favourite. The Maui Ribs was definitely top notch with a great sweet, saucy glaze. The lamb shank and the lobster were just like eating at a high class restaurant in the comfort of our own home. Pretty great. Would definitely recommend. 5/5.

This Dine out was probably my favourite this year because the price was a steal for what you got. Everything I got was delicious! I made the brocollini salad vegan, which I would recommend and they have many other vegan options on their menu which is nice. The basil cream pesto for the tagliatelle was really good with a decent amount of seafood- how much I enjoyed it surprised me as it’s not even an Italian joint! I'm giving 4 stars specifically for the happy hour here! Food is 10$ and the portions are HUGE for happy hour. Like abnormally so!! Definitely amazing bang for the buck! I wouldn't say food is the tastiest I've ever had but sooo worth it.
Drinks were pretty normally priced for happy hour. BUT because I usually always get the munchies after a couple drinks this is the perfect place - your wallet will thank you later!

Beautiful restaurant; impeccable service; delicious food. It was a lovely day and patio was just too good! It felt a bit too cold and they immediately closed the “windows” for us. When we asked for more bread, they immediately brought a plate with more than what we needed! Prawns were heavenly and I loved their homemade aioli. Mussels were good and plentiful. And drinks were nicely prepared (a bit light on alcohol but it was happy hour). Speaking of happy hour, their prices are unbelievable: $10 appetizers and sub-$10 drinks!

Great deals on full sized appetizer, house wine, rotating rose, highballs and Mules.
I enjoyed the Rose, which I believe was from Grey Monk. The house wine is unfortunately Peller Family, and if you have read some of my reviews you may have heard how much I dislike this wine. If it's for you, it will cost you $5 (I wouldn't pay that for this wine lol).
