Woke up to room cleaning opening my door at 8:30am when I had checked in just a hand full of hours prior the night before and they told me check out is at 12pm. When I had brought it up the person said that cleaning starts at 8am and I should have put the do not disturb sign..¿ confused as I’ve stayed at many hotels all over and have never seen this practice or lack of understanding or even trying to accommodate to the situation. Hospitality 2/10.

Very disappointing stay. Ottawa Embassy suits was listed at the top when filtered based on cleanliness and customer rankings. We booked through Expedia looking at those stars and our fault we didn’t read through the bad reviews which eventually related to our experience better.
1- the staff was not very helpful other than checking in
2- multiple Towels were ripped and of rough quality. Subpar!
3- pillows were super uncomfortable
4- balcony door latches were broken for both rooms rented. High Safety concerns!
5- All the cups provided in our room had lipstick stains - I have images of all

Check-in clerk was nice and courteous. Hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Room was a suite with a kitchenette with all the basic equipment including a small range and toaster as well as utensils and plates. Room was a bit cold and thermostat in the room did not control anything. Bathroom was complete but very small, only one person at a time. Hotel parking was booked so had to use public nearby parking lot (across the street). Good location, would book again.

Enjoying our stay at a king suite with full kitchen. Very clean and cozy, staff very friendly, bed super comfy, AC is great, black out curtains, and open balcony with views of Ottawa downtown is a bonus! Very pet friendly, many parking options available, although hotel parking is an additional fee. Everything you need is just a short walk away. Would return!

My husband and I booked a suite for the night before our wedding to accommodate myself and my 5 bridesmaids, and then we had the suite to ourselves the next evening after our wedding. The room was super spacious giving my bridesmaids and I enough room to relax and hangout the night before the wedding but also so much space to get ready with our hair and makeup team the next morning. There was a full kitchen which allowed us to be able to eat breakfast and dinner in, instead of having to figure out what we would eat while we were at the hotel. We left the rom a mess and planned on cleaning it up

Is our first stay at embassy hotel in downtown Ottawa. The location is pretty good. The parking lot and basement are quite limited and they are fully booked for all parking spot. The receptionist at night time very nice and friendly. He explained all about the parking spot that we can park our car. The room itself pretty decent and clean. The only thing that bother us is there is no social distancing at all in the hotel. Some people weren’t wear mask and no one really ask them to put the mask on. Especially on the elevator, the elevator is pretty small and there is only a small sign that mention

This hotel is in a good location and staff are friendly, however that's where the perks end. We spent our first night here (last night) and I can not believe the pillows they have to sleep on. They are literally like sacks of flour. Dense, large and very hard. Your neck is literally pinched on an angle, as your head won't sink into the pillow. For the record, each bed had 4 pillows on it - and all 8 were the same! It was on that assumption that I believed asking for a new pillow would not help.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and I would stay away from this hotel if you're looking for a pleasant and peaceful stay in Ottawa. I stayed for 2 nights with my friend on a leisure trip to Ottawa.
Firstly, the building and rooms are very run down. My friend and I drove right past the hotel at first when we were looking for it, because it has the outer appearance of a very old and decrepit apartment building, not a hotel. The furniture in the room and the paint in the corner of the rooms are all chipped and very dingy looking.
