Sabina was an amazing host. We arrived late at night and there was a small issue (our fault) when we arrived but Sabina was so nice and accommodating and helped us resolve our issue.
The place is very clean and probably one of the cleanest in the byward market area. It is also very safe and secure. We are sincerely thankful for her help and recommend this place for their amazing 5 star service. Thank you Sabina !

We are truly very happy with this hotel, it's so clean and so pretty. Right in the heart of downtown, 10 min walk to the parliament. The owner is such a pleasant lady and makes us feel so warm. I highly recommend this place!

The hotel and room was cozy and the jacuzzi excellent! Service was great and location neat. However given the hotel is basically in the middle of downtown it is was loud at night in our room as we were ground level. The hotel is a little old so we could hear the guests upstairs walking. I am being picky. We enjoyed our stay. 4. Stars.
Comparable price.

Excellent boutique Hotel with very comfortable accommodations. Walking distance to the Byward Market and slew of restaurants and patios. Very much self service do not bring alot of luggage as stairs are narrow. No breakfast service and Note close to local hostels and homeless communities.

Very cozy! The owner was so sweet & super nice! She gave me a ton of extra coffee pods. The room was clean and had everything we needed for the stay. Hotel is located walking distance to a lot of attractions. Definitely will stay again if I visit Ottawa again.

Absolutely adored our stay here. Beautiful rooms, kind staff, and walking distance to the market. We wish there was more parking, but other than that, this was the perfect place to visit.

This hotel is very quaint and the owners are very nice and sweet people. The rooms were very clean and the stay was very comfortable. The hotel is a very close walk to the Byward Market if you want to stay around the area. The area around the hotel has the Ottawa Mission right next to it, so the area may feel a little sketchy but this takes nothing away from the hotel. Parking is very limited so you will likely have to go pay for parking nearby but not at the hotel. Thanks again for the wonderful stay.

I was supposed to stay at the hostel next to the hotel but was kindly offered to stay in the hotel as it belongs to the same owner! The owner is super nice and very kind to all of her guests! The hotel is very cozy and clean, the staff is friendly! Great centered location, however, also not too loud as it is a few buildings away from the center street Rideau - quite quiet there! Definitely recommend to choose as your accommodation if you are happen to be in Ottawa!

We had an excellent stay at the Swiss Hotel. Thanks to booking directly with the hotel (rather than a third-party) we benefited from a great room upgrade. The owner is very kind and friendly. The building is beautiful as are the rooms. I appreciated having an espresso machine in the room, much cooler than your regular cheap hotel room coffee machine. It's also nice that only guests can enter the building and not just anybody.

We were met at reception by Sabina who was very helpful and extremely friendly on our late checkin time. Overall the hotel is so nice. Room is a good size, very clean, also a nice surprise to see a curling tongs in the room! Walking distance to everything which was perfect for us for only being there for the weekend. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed here on Canada Day in the jacuzzi room, and it was a wonderful surprise for her. The staff are a sweet couple and they are so caring and attentive to your littlest needs. Very beautiful room and even though there weren't any fireworks this year on Canada Day, we created our own - so to speak. . Thank you so much to the staff for making this a beautiful memory in our lives.

Literally crying as I write this review of Swiss Hotel.

We were on our honeymoon all the way from Miami to see snow for the first time. We were staying in Montreal, and decided to take a day trip to Ottawa's Byward Market. After a beautiful day in the city, we get caught in a bad snow storm. We could barely see out of our car, so we stopped to borrow wifi from a nearby Starbucks to look up a hotel to spend the night.

On Hotels.com we saw what seemed like a cute and chic hotel with excellent reviews and 4 rooms left. It was a 5 minute drive so we decided to stop by in person and book at

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed -- from the amazing rooms to the delicious breakfast, to the off-the-charts hospitality.

Stayed six nights on an extended business trip and was happy to have chosen this small, European style hotel. Just a bit way from the hustle and bustle, but with so much practically just outside the door, this was a wonderful to spend my time in Ottawa.

Bed was sublime, service was wonderful and breakfast on the lovely patio started each day just right. A little noise on the weekend nights from the college students out partying, but this was inconsequential to my visit. Byward a couple blocks away in one direction, shops and stores supporting Univ. of Ottawa a couple blocks in the other direction

We were forced to cancel our room reservation in June when bad weather on the East Coast forced Porter Airlines to cancel our flights from Washington DC to Ottawa via Toronto. We called the SwissHotel to cancel as soon as we heard about our flights, first thing on the morning of our hoped-for arrival. Even though our inability to keep the reservation was completely beyond our control, the hotel applied its 48-hour cancellation policy anyway forcing us to pay room fee plus taxes for a room reservation we could not keep.

We were able to reschedule our trip with Porter for a date only a few weeks

Sviss. Swiss. Suiss. However you spell it or say it, it rolls off the tongue pretty sweet. And the Swiss Hotel is no exception to this sweetness. Let's roll down the attributes, shall we?

Staff: I think I have a toothache from the sweetness of Sabina. She is exceptionally warm and welcoming...way beyond the traditional innkeeper!

Room: Was small but nicely appointed. Same goes with the shower. The space it limited but has just what I needed to relax and get some work done. There's even a iPad on your in room desk for use if you need it! Extra snaps for super strong wireless throughout

Having arrived into Ottawa in blazing heat, arriving into the Swiss Hotel was a treat. Throughout our stay the staff were singularly delightful (Sabina in particular) and we found little else to complain about. Our room was a superior queen, which was huge. The bed required a bit of a jump to get into and provided some of the best sleep I've had in years. Everything about the room was spotless and the hardwood floors added to the quirky decor.

The breakfast is pricy but entirely worth it. The 8+ cheeses, the muesli and the French toast are a great start to the day, especially if you manage

Came to Ottawa to do some skating on the canal in 1999 and happened upon the then Gasthaus Switzerland (now Swiss Hotel) on Daly Ave. Even though the name has changed over the years, the impeccable service has not.

When we come to Ottawa whether its for skating on the canal in the winter or touring the city in the warmer weather, Swiss Hotel is our place of choice. You can't beat the location (remember the chant - location...location...location!). The rooms are clean and comfortable. You can choose to park your car on the property for a very reasonable fee if you don't want to find parking

The beds are completely heavenly and your room is nicely furnished so what about the second half of this place, the breakfast? They put on a great spread and if you're there in the summer time you can enjoy it outside in their courtyard.
