Pros...The location is great for exploring the downtown area.
My bed was comfortable and the pillows had different comfort levels.
Cons...the room itself left something to be desired. The bathroom needs major work, the sink was cracked in several places. There was no fan. The shower controls were extremely difficult to regulate. It was very definite that it was an older building, in need of a major facelift. Parking was off site and expensive. I think I definitely overpaid for the quality I received.

Room is made of cardboard, you can hear the next door client brush his teeth. A nice reminder of college dorm room.
Lame heating system, super long to heat the room, and auto cool when you leave. You return to a cold room, great feature in summer i guess.
Blood stain on the bathroom towel and on the shower curtain.
Bedsheets are stiff and stay cold for a long time.
A hole in the bathroom wall and long hair. Poor cleaning.
I only used the room for sleep. Not recommended if you plan to work in the room during the day.

Nice hotel, great location. Staff are very courteous and attentive.
The rooms are spacious and nice but they definitely show their age. The rooms with balconies are horribly loud all night (since they face directly onto the road) so I would avoid them if possible. The doors to the balcony block out no sound from the busses that seem to run all night long.
The Cafe downstairs is nice enough, good for a quick breakfast and coffee but nothing to wow any diners.

The sum of all the reviews I read were a better reflection of the experience than I expected. The hotel was overall good. It provided everything I could gave expected for the price and location. Nothing exceptional from the hospitality side of the overnight team, bit a true sense of hospitality rang loud and clear from any and every interaction of the day time staff and management, from email correspondence with management, to front desk, to staff I passed in the hallway. Great location! Not in a room with an opportune view, but such a prime location to government and financial buildings, sightseeing

Pros:
* Location is absolutely amazing. Close to food and many touristic attractions.
* Spacious rooms overall (2 queens room).
* Beds are decently comfortable.
* Kitchenette is decent and well furnished. Mini-Fridge is a great addition.
* AC unit can be set to "low", which is fairly silent (unlike the "high" setting).
Cons:
* Rates differ between weekdays and weekends (even on a per-weekday basis!). The website will give the average per night, not a breakdown of the actual per-night cost.
* Housekeeping was hit and very miss; generally took the handsoap we used but never replaced it, beds

Great, spacious room and good, thick mattresses, but the reception staff could be a little warmer. The bathroom could be cleaner, and hot and cold water was switched. You only get the 10% off breakfast if you ask reception for a voucher beforehand. Parking is free all weekend at the World Exchange Plaza opposite the hotel (otherwise the hotel takes $20/night). Overall, still a good place to stay at a great location.

This is our second stay in the hotel and we were very pleased with it! We love the location, ability to walk to either the Byward or Bank Street easily. Staff are friendly and attentive, young and not imposing. Although decor is somewhat dated, the room was clean and comfortable. Parking is always difficult with a small lot, but staff are happy to bring your car around!
