Parking is free in Banff! The Town of Banff has on-street parking and four off-street parking lots with one-hour to 12-hour limits. Time limits exist on all parking spaces and there are also seasonal restrictions in certain areas. Restrictions are enforced, so please check the signs when you park. Secured, heated underground parking (additional $5 per day) are available.

Almost everything in Banff is within walking distance but if you have a lot to carry, it's cold out or it's just too far you have options. Route 1 runs along Banff Ave past our hostel and will take you through town and up to the Banff Upper Hots Springs and base of Sulphur Mountain to hike up or take the gondola.
There is so much to do in Banff and the surrounding area that you can make the town of Banff your base and see and do all the area has to offer. Our front desk staff are able to give you suggestions and advice on what to do while visiting the area.
