Highly recommend.
This is my new go to hotel in Banff. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the service is outstanding across the board (house keeping, restaurant service, front desk, spa).
All of the restaurants have great food but the food at Eden is incredible. I have so many good things to say about this place. Concierge was very attentive and made sure our stay had all of the extra touches needed like lighting the fire in the Lakspur Lounge. Room service was prompt. And everywhere you go has a stunning view.

Went for breakfast and we were made to feel so welcome.
Amazing food and our server Marianne was excellent.
Probably the friendliest people we have met in Banff.we were made to feel so special.Nothing was too much trouble,in my opinion that is how everyone should be made to feel.
Well done everyone at the Rimrock

The Rimrock hotel is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Canada. All of their staff are professional and cordial…and go the extra mile to make everyone feel at home. In my experience, Mark, who will more than likely meet you at the front door…..to Stephen at the Larkspur Lounge, who can suggest the best food and/or drink…Has made my trip here so much better than expected. I’m heading to the concierge desk tomorrow to plan my next adventure!

We spent Xmas here. Loved the atmosphere and the staff was top notch. Very attentive despite the challenges they were facing with staffing shortages due to Covid situations.
The rooms - cozy and very clean
The views - stupendous
The spa treatments - wonderful
The bars - fabulous
The restaurants - wide selection of great food.
The only negative (and this is probably only because it was on Christmas night) was the Christmas Buffet. The food and drinks were pretty awful. We had a 6:15 reservation and everything was picked through and looked quite messy. The setting made me feel like I was at

Everything at this resort is 5 star from check in to check out. The accommodations are wonderful and the views are priceless! Our family of 4 stayed in a Premium room with mountain view and it was spectacular. Everyone, from the bellman to the concierge to waitstaff were extremely concerned with our satisfaction. Customer care was amazing! We dined at the Primrose on site and the food and drinks were amazing. The hotel is located within a short walk of both the Gondola and Hot springs and a free shuttle is available to take hotel guests into Banff.

Incredible setting and view of gorgeous mountains from room. Pool, spa, hot tub were superb. Wonderful Christmas and holiday atmosphere throughout hotel. Service far above normal, as if staff really do care about you and their jobs. Great Primrose dining room with options for every diet, including vegan. Has shuttle into town. Hot springs and gondola very close. Highly recommended. A pampering experience.

This was a great place to stay 2 years ago, amazing breakfast bar, pool and nice staff. When I called to discuss another stay, things have changed. The Rimrock Marketing manager Brea Todd, was not available for my call to clarify details but front desk staff stated very limited access will be given to those who refuse to show medical information. This violates international law and also goes beyond the Alberta recommendation guidelines. Sounds like staying here would force me to support discrimination, division and harm to my community.

Gorgeous rooms, amazing views. The staff were lovely to deal with and the food was to die for. We had eaten at Eden (what was supposed to be a "once in a lifetime" meal turned into a "that food was so freaking amazing, we will 100% be back" meal.) and also ordered room service. I'm very happy we were able to spend our mini-moon at The Rimrock.

The service from staff was over the top excellent. View from the room was lovely. Hotel was decorated for Christmas and the food was pretty good (breakfast buffet especially).
Less than ideal: Few outdoor spaces during a pandemic is too bad. (The back deck was covered in snow.) We would have liked to sit by a fire and visit with others outside of our immediate family. And no walking paths from the hotel to anywhere.
Bathrooms a bit dated. Too warm in the room. Thermostat only goes down to 18.5C but it felt like 21C or so. A bit hard to sleep if you like it cool.
But otherwise truly a gem. Again

Wonderful facility and attentive customer service. We felt like highly valued guests during our entire stay. It was also so nice to just show our vaccination records once at check-in then merely flash a wristband to get around the building the rest of the weekend. With so many places to eat, drink, and be cozy all over the building and the grounds, you will never be bored!

I was here this last weekend for a work party and it was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. Everyone, from valet to check-in, was incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. The room was gorgeous with the most amazing view of the mountains. The room service was incredible and the food tasted delicious. While I didn't have to pay for this as it was a work party, the price is quite expensive. However, for what you get and for how much you pay, it's definitely worth it. Hopefully I will be back soon!

My two teenagers and i were in Banff for Thanksgiving weekend (Canada) and saw that the Primrose Room at this hotel was offering a Thanksgiving dinner advertised at $39 so we reserved. The dinner (actually $56 we discovered on arrival) was pressed turkey, on top of mashed potatoes which were gold-green coloured and a tablespoon of dressing, corn meal i think. The best thing about the meal was the gravy. Dessert was a sliver of pumpkin pie (did not qualify as a "course"). My teens ordered off of the a la carte menu and one lucked out with the roast chicken. Everything else was at best

The best hotel in town for the price, DO NOT be fooled by the other hotels in this town, if you have a Rental vehicle this is the place to stay 100% and get the mountain view room.
This hotel is basically a 5 star hotel in disguise, it's probably a Banff secret, trust me. The food is amazing, service amazing, and they don't charge $10 for a bottle of water!
From check in to check out this place amazed me and only wish I knew about it sooner.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, nice and clean rooms (appreciated the large TVs, the review website pictures had very small TVs), breakfast buffet is solid but have a few notes:
1. When it gets crowded due to a busy season or conferences happening, it feels a bit too small.
2. Like a lot of hotels, the walls are a bit thin. Could hear the next door people arguing.
3. Wish there were more food choices.

This hotel is not worth the amount I paid to stay here in a premium room with views. It's all bells and whistles, and the basics were a miss:
The biggest negative is the parking situation. It's $22/night + tax for self-parking! The hotel is up a hill and you need keycard entry, so it's not like there's risk of anyone parking there if they're not staying at the hotel. I think it's unreasonable to charge (and so much) for guests to be able to park their car while staying at the Rimrock! Additionally, the self-parking situation was not great. The first night I checked

So the two stars are for four star views and service. Beautiful and clean and good foood etc.
I had to take the stars down to two due to the HORRIBLE weird smell permeating the rooms and the resort. It was like mildew or mold. A horrible stale smell that I couldn't sleep through.
I looked up reviews after and it appears to be something others experience.
If you have a sensitive sniffer (my husband wasn't as bothered by it) stay away.

We bid online and lucked out on this place.
The location is perfect, great views, a short walk to the gondola, nice trails in the woods that bring you to Fairmount.
Really liked the huge gym.
We also enjoyed the bar with live music.
They had an absolutely awesome mothers day brunch filled with every seafood you could find.

We stayed here for 8 nights in
July/Aug the peak of High season. Valet and concierge as well as front desk were always friendly and efficient. Our room on 9th (top) floor had awesome views. Small fridge. Safe, ironic board, hair dryer, coffee maker and tea kettle. Beds were soft. Linings nice too. Towels good (but I've had better) room had two comfy chairs with a foot ottoman, desk with computer chair. I really liked the usb charging ports in the bases of the desk and bedside lamps, we used these all the time. Bathroom was well appointed, not luxurious but nice. Room seemed well maintained

Stayed two nights at the rimrock for a wedding. The hotel is quite nice. It's far from the main area of Banff. The hotel has an amazing view of the valley and mountains. The hotel is well kept and clean. Service is great and staff are friendly. We had a great time. The restaurant inside is called the primrose and offers brunch buffet for 29 dollars. The buffet is a bit limited in terms of selection and the ingredients quite plain. I think we would have been better off eating in town. Overall though a nice stay full of amenities (24 hr gym, wifi, pool, hot tub, business centre etc)

On the long cold walk from the Banff Gondola rides, we decided to pop in for a late drink in the Rimrock. Their gorgeous (and extensive) lobby bar is called the Larkspur Lounge and spans nearly the entire length of the hotel.
The lounge is adorned with numerous comfortable seating areas, that can serve as small group hangouts OR as casual dining. We posted up near the walk-in fireplace (yeah the staff kept walking in with new logs to keep the fire roaring, so you can imagine how big it was) and ordered a round (or 2) of drinks!

Rimrock resort is our usual accommodations in Banff or when visiting Banff National park. We've stayed here a number of times and each stay is different in service. This stay everything was perfect.
Birthday getaway to celebrate. Used Rimrock Royalty points to upgrade to a Premium room with 2 queens and balcony. Welcome gift as RR member and coupons for complementary champagne for celebrating a birthday. Room nicely appointed and nice space for our family.
Littles love the pool and us the hot tub. Swim before bedtime and ordered room service for bedtime snack.

If this review were based only on the location of the Rimrock Resort Hotel - it would be a solid 5+ stars. However, taking everything (location, room, service, food, etc.) into consideration - it slips back to a 4.5 stars.
Let's start with the obvious - the location is off the charts. It is just stunning. And, an afternoon meal and drink in the main bar on the balcony is the raw material for legendary travel memories. The stunning view does cause a slight problem - you can't walk through the lobby without getting sidetracked to the 2+ story windows to gaze at the beautiful mountains
