Services
Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Amyn Allidina completed his undergraduate degree in science at McGill University and achieved his dental degree at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Allidina started his dental career working in a hospital setting at Mount Sinai hospital in Toronto for one year.
Teeth cleaning is an oral hygiene application completed by a dental hygienist to remove plaque and calculus from teeth in an effort to prevent tooth decay and periodontal disease. While regular brushing and flossing contributes to oral health, professional teeth cleaning removes plaque and tartar from hard-to-reach places, such as below the gum line, that may not be accessible by routine cleaning.
A tooth restoration is a treatment option used to restore a decayed, damaged or worn tooth to its normal function and shape. Dental restorations are best suited for minor tooth decay, fractures, broken teeth or teeth worn down by grinding. More complicated cases will require alternative types of restorative treatment, such as crowns or root canals.
A crown is a type of dental restoration that entirely covers or 'caps' a damaged tooth or dental implant. They can be applied to front teeth and back teeth and are custom-made to fit comfortably in your mouth and are cemented in place as fixed prosthetic implements. The treatment process for a dental crown requires multiple appointments.
Dental veneers are thin shells of composite or porcelain material that adhere to teeth to improve the look and strength of your smile, usually for anterior teeth. They are a popular choice to combat chipped and misshapen teeth, discolouration, fractures and gaps between teeth. The process for veneers is very similar to that of crowns.

The BEST dentist I have been to hands down. Dr. Allidina is amazing. I have had a lot of dental work done in my life (braces, fillings, broken tooth etc) and I used to HATE going to the dentist because I had some bad experiences with treatment, and dentists trying to up sell me things I couldn't afford. Not once has this ever happened at Bearspaw. The hygienists are on time every time, and Dr Allidina is gentle, he listens and he has never made me feel rushed. I actually like going into this dental office because Shelley is great, and everyone else is friendly. I tell everyone I know how great

Fantastic practice, I’d recommend to anyone! Jennifer was so lovely and patient. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and diligently cleaned my teeth. Dr Allidina was also very thorough with his work - grateful to have found a practice as such. It’s nice to be in a place where customer service is exceptional.

I would really like to know why the dentist is charging my mother $700 to correct a filling they did that fell out 2-3 years ago. Never in my life have i heard of 3 year-only warranties on faulty dental work. I don't expect much from dentists but i expect them to be competent at the very least, and if they are not consistently competent, I expect for them to correct their mistakes when given the chance. Instead she was met with ego and defensiveness. The interaction with reception was offensive and left her feeling like they were just trying to milk her for more $$$ while simultaneously blaming

Dr. Amyn Allidina has a gift! I have had everything from cleanings, to root canals and a crown. All his work is seamless and he has a great attention to detail and patient comfort. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating to my busy schedule. With direct billing it keeps my visits simple and stress free. I would recommend his clinic to everyone looking for the complete package in dental care.

I always recommended this clinic when somebody would ask for a good dentist on the south side, so it pains me to write this update, but I'm pretty irritated.
They maintain the 2 stars for having friendly staff and very low pain treatments and cleanings.
But the other stars have been removed for various reasons.
- My mother and I both received large bills, without warning. Usually you'll get a head's up or a quote if something is going to cost more than a couple hundred bucks.
- Dr. Allidina decided a few years ago that we should replace all my silver fillings with white ones
