I had a great experience at this hotel. Our stay at the Auberge Du Vieux Port was fantastic. The staff was absolutely incredible, very hospitable and accommodating. The location for me what one of the top reasons I chose this hotel, it's located right near the port and the fact that this hotel used to be a leather factory is cool. Inside you can still see the original brick and beams from the 18OOs. With our views of the saint Lawrence river and Eastern facing windows the sun rises in our room was amazing. I recommend this hotel if you are into the old town side of Montreal.

The staff at this establishment have no idea about the policies at their place of employment.
I contacted on Saturday regarding their pet policy as it pertained to cats and was informed that cats and dogs are accepted and that there would be a $50 cleaning fee applied. When I asked if there was a limit to number of cats in their larger lofts (1000+ square foot loft) since my wife and I travel with our 4 cats, the representative indicated that I’d need to call and check regarding the number but that cats were allowed. I was advised to call and speak with a manager.

We stayed in the loft just around the corner from the hotel and above Modavie.
The room was perfect for our needs. An amazing shower (unlike our hotel in Ottawa), and a super comfy bed.
We even had a view of the St Lawrence.
The staff were helpful beyond what I could have hoped for. Their recommendations for food were spot on.
If you want to stay in Old Montreal, this is the place to do so.

This place was incredible. We went for our honeymoon and the staff went above and beyond to upgrade us (Mike was extremely friendly and was such a pleasure to talk with) the hotel gave us mimosas and gave us a drink on the patio! I did however take off one star for unfortunately Albert talking badly about where we are from. He seemed a little prejudice and we could have done without his opinion ;)
Other than that, we loved our stay here and would recommend it it to anyone!

By far the most incredible hotel I have stayed in Canada. The Fairmont chain should take some notes. Before my arrival (about a week before) the front desk called to ask me if I require anything she answered all my questions and had a personalized welcome card and a special arrival gift. The service is by far the best in the 3 continents I have visited. And don’t get me started on the beautiful rooms - a mix of modern and vintage charm. I felt like I woke up in Paris. Thank you all, from the valet to the bartender you’re exceptional

Room was awesome. Booked a deluxe loft but ended up with a one bedroom plus loft. The room was huge and quickly felt like home. Bed and bedding was very comfy. Noise was a major disappointment. Contemplated 3 stars but I guess noise isn't really the hotel's fault. We were on the "quiet" side of the building away from the patio down below that we had read about in other reviews. Turns out the quiet side of the building had young people hanging out in the tunnel entrance under our room talking laughing and playing music two of the four nights we were there. The last night was till 2:00 in the morning

It was fine I guess. The staff friendly, and the rooms were clean and well stocked. Given the price tho, it definitely wasn't worth it. I really wanted to love this place. The decor looked so pretty online, but our room had none of the features described on the website. Before my arrival, they emailed me saying I would get a complimentary bottle of wine... Which I never got. When I asked about it, they said it must have been a mistake. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again, it's terrible value for money.much better options in the same neighborhood

Just got back from an awesome time in Montreal. We stayed at this hotel which was absolutely lovely. Very charming and cozy. Rooms were very nice, rustic looking. Very clean with the most comfortable bed. My room faced Saint Paul Street which was nice. It's in an excellent location. Close walk to shops, tons of bars and restaurants. Hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel called Taverne Gaspar was very good. I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it.

I booked with AVP for a three-night stay in Montreal. I Proposed to my now fiancé during our stay and the Hotel was EXCEPTIONAL in their assistance. From the moment we pulled up their welcoming, generous,… professionalism was immediately evident. They even set up my room with an order of flowers for the occasion. They checked in with me every step of the way and took so much pressure off what would have been one of the most nerve-wracking moments of my life. From the exposed brick to the open windows with an exceptional view, i couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting for

Everything was spectacular! It our wedding anniversary and it was romantic and adventurous in Old Montreal! We stayed in the lofts around the corner above Modavie restaurant and it literally felt like we had… our own apartment in the city!! Clean, felt safe, spacious, modern but exposed brick and stone were an amazing nod to the old is new again! Soo cool and convenient to all of Old Montreal! Restaurants cafes museums and shops all within walking distance. The staff was INCREDIBLE. We would absolutely stay here again and again and plan to come back in the summer!!
