Hotel Dorion

Location was a bit sketchy. Even though the sheets and towels were clean, everything else wasn’t. Paint was coming off from the walls, dirt on the floor and a strong smell of cigaret in the room. You pay for what you get.

The most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. Carpets have not been cleaned since 1800b.c. Rooms full of smoking smell. Don't look under the blanket if you want to sleep. Doors won't close.

It is very important to know that this hotel offers hourly room rentals and although it might serve its purpose in that department (we had no idea until we got there and the front desk person told us), however if you are planning to stay there overnight, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. It's not clean and it stinks with cigarette smell, the smell lingered in our clothing and anything that was in the room, location is right by the subway which is the only good thing about it. the place is very outdated. It looked and smelled terrible! Absolutely not recommended.

Owner Claudia is very nice, welcoming and hospitable. Room was clean and spacious! Staff was attentive and helpful, would definitely return to this hotel!

Everyone who works there claims to be the manager, and the real manager is never ever at the Hotel. There is a fake manager (grey hair lady) who does anything she can possible to not have to call the real manager. The real manager is a young guy who looks like a student. He has glasses and black hair. NEVER EVER give your credit card information to this property. I learned that the hard way.

The owner of the “hotel” is incredibly rude, absolutely the worst service I’ve even seen. When it fits her needs it’s called a hotel ( we booked on air bnb) because she wants to give none of the services of a hotel like fresh toiletries or towels, and none of the personal touches of an Airbnb like someone personable and understanding. The only goal is to price gouge guests and give nothing in return. NEVER EVER STAY HERE. The worst stay I’ve had by far. I feel bad for her employee who was very sweet but has to endure this insufferable miserable woman daily.

Room was an acceptable size, very clean. But balcony door attached to the room with a jacuzzi is screwed shut barring access and the tub would occasionally turn itself on

It's okay..... Mattress could be a bit more comfortable. If you have a bad back you may be on trouble . I'm a guy who could sleep anywhere so minor issues with the room was not a problem. 480 for three days was the attraction for me Checked in on a Friday - the front desk clerk was super friendly.

I Have stayed in this Hotel a few times since I go to Montreal Regularly and this its a nice inexpensive place right across the street from the Metro and next door to a Grocery store.

However, I booked a room in March of 2018 through Booking.com and paid for it via PayPal. Once I got there, the hotel clerk told me that my room had NOT been paid for via Booking.com and that Booking.com only reserves rooms, you cannot pay for them that way. I argued with him for a few moments but was tired and finally just gave him my credit card.

Here it is three weeks later and sure enough I had paid for it

I would advise not to stay at this hotel. I stayed for 4 nights and had to transfer to another hotel. In my 4 days of staying here not once was my room refreshed. On my 3rd night I began to get itchy and by 4th day had numerous bed bug bites. I contacted the front desk staff and of course they defended the hotel. As of right now they have not contacted me with an apology nor any kind of refund. This is a SLUM, DO NOT, I MEAN DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! You have been warned!
