This place is the home of ''wear what you have jewelry'. It all started with a free cleaning for a pair of 'special needs' diamond stud earrings. Purchased years ago from an antique shop, they were such a 'deal', I couldn't resist. Old cut gems with six claws per stone and posts that had to be screwed on.
They turned out to be such a nuisance that I never wore them. In the discussion prior to cleaning, it was suggested that I consider re-setting them. Really? It had never occurred to me. The result was stunning! With 3 claws in white gold, the stones were out of their claw jail and glittered with joy!

We have had an amazing experience at Ragnar's. Bill first helped us with bringing back to life a 1959 vintage family heirloom engagement ring which was in disrepair. It is my Grandma Ruth's ring, originally created at Chester Pegg Jeweller's in London, ON. As well, Bill helped us create a custom wedding band that perfectly matches down to the finest details such as colour/quality/size of the diamonds, the small triangle cutouts, width/style of the band, and the arrow notch on each side. The result is two rings that look like they were always meant to be together, despite being created 60+ years

Many thanks to Bill who helped me take a bracelet I never wore (as it had rough edges which caught on things)and change it to a necklace. It is now spectacular! Bill and the goldsmiths designed to necklace to balance and hang perfectly. The workmanship is excellent and all done within the timeframe stated and according to the very reasonable estimate.

I took in some pieces I inherited from a dear family member, to see what could be repaired and how much it would be. Juliana helped me out, and she was so friendly and kind! She gave me all the options, there was no pressure at all. I just got back my jewellery and it has been beautifully restored - looks brand new. I went to Ragnar Jewellers several months ago on a mission to custom design my engagement ring using diamonds from my fiance's mom and great aunt, and from my grandmother's engagement ring. I had some ideas of what I was hoping to do but I was a bit nervous - I'm by no means an expert jewelry designer, nor do I have really any experience with buying fancier, non-costume, jewelry. I walked into the shop knowing some things I wanted in a newly designed wedding/engagement combo ring. IO met Diane and she told me that she loved designing rings. She emailed some sketches and it went from there. Her service, listening, attention to detail, patience in going slowly step by step was second to none. I am a very fussy person and… wanted to make sure I was happy with every minor detail before the final cast was made. The placement of the diamonds took several visits too. My husband picked it up today as it had to be sized a bit smaller and I am thrilled with the end result

They advertise "first sizing free" on their receipts/pamphlets, but know that ISN'T the case. Apparently only certain situations and rings apply to this rule (even though they don't have any fine print anywhere and it wasn't verbally explained).
I took 3 rings to have them resized and plated, explained I never used my free sizing and was told that the associate would look into that. I never heard anything after that point until I went to pick up my rings and was billed $650. I expected to be paying no more than $175, since I was aware of the plating as per the associates
