We are a local clinic that has been proudly serving our Van Island community since 2001. Over the years, it has been our sincere pleasure to reconnect with our familiar faces and to also meet new ones when they visit us for their visual needs. Our team has earned a reputation for providing sophisticated and trusted service in eye care, and that's because we are passionate about all things related to EYES!
Ocular Coherence Tomography, the latest advancement in retinal imaging, comparable to an ultrasound. Reports and letters for your employer, school, insurance company, and anyone else who requires information on your ocular health. The Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends that children should have their eyes checked by an optometrist at age 6 months, again at 2 years, before they start school, and yearly once they are in school.
Everyone entering the clinic is required to give their name, as well as a phone number for contact tracing. Everyone entering the clinic is required to wear a mask that covers the chin, mouth, and nose. Your current glasses or contact lens parameters (brand and power- or even better, bring the boxes!).
Patients with valid BC CareCards who are 65 years or older are entitled to partial coverage towards their eye examinations every year. Please note that MSP does not cover the entire fee, and there is a copay for seniors. Between the ages of 19-64 MSP may contribute to eye exams on a case by case basis, depending on ocular health conditions, use of specific prescription medications, and systemic health conditions.

I’ve been visiting Admirals Walk Optometry for a few yrs now and have experienced nothing short of exceptional service each time.
They have helped me fix a pair I sat on out of the goodness of their hearts, now they have helped me with a lost pair. They take the time and genuinely care about their customers. A huge shout out to Zoey, whose knowledge and customer service is phenomenal. She truly is a gem.

I am so thrilled with my recent experience! I have gone to a big box store before and while I never had an issue, I wanted to be closer to home and support local. The exam was fantastic and very informative- learned things about my prescription and also received help for my dry eyes. The ladies that helped me at the desk and picking out my lenses were so kind and helpful, and picking up my glasses I STILL felt cared for even though everything was complete. I can’t wait to continue with care here and if you are reading reviews here, book an appointment :)

When my husband and I moved to Victoria over 15 years ago we started going to this clinic for our vision needs. From the start we were completely satisfied with the wonderful, friendly service we received. We've had eye examinations by both Dr. Rachel Rushforth and Dr. Nicole Sehn. They are both warm, friendly, patient and professional which make our appointments comfortable and pleasant experiences. We've also been very happy with the assistance we've received by all staff members with regard to choosing frames or making adjustments to our glasses. As well as an excellent selection of frames,

Was a good experience throughout. Dr.DENNIS (D’Arcy) was pleasant and explained things in terms that were to my level of understanding and gave explanations that were detailed and complete. She was professional and friendly. She was serious in her procedures/testing and level of screening. I felt my examination was through and left feeling I knew what was the status of my eye health......I recommend the clinic.

I am really terrible with shopping so having the optician (Zoe) helped a lot getting me two great pairs that best suited my face.
Doctor (Nicole) was super nice and patient with me. I'm a blinker so eye drops are not my favorite but she was able to get them in my eyes with the least amount of discomfort!
Just couldn't be any more happy with the service I got!

Admirals Walk Optometry staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. I have seen Dr. Nichole Sehn three years in a row, she is professional, knowledgeable, approachable and carefully & thoroughly explains everything,. I have been a client of this office since I first returned to the area over 10 years ago. I highly recommend this clinic.
