Services
Our profession is one built on medical science, compassion, and trust. We know that our patients come to our office to seek our care because they trust us, and that trust is something that we are proud to have earned over the last 40+ years.
Our approach to eye care has always been based on eye care fundamentals: we know that eye diseases and vision problems are complex issues, and so we take the time needed to properly understand each individual patient and their vision needs.Today, this commitment involves the incorporation of advanced retinal imaging and optical diagnostic technologies into our eye exams and eye care services in general.

There's more to eye health than good vision (although that's a big part of it). Many eye diseases, from vision-stealing glaucoma to sight-destroying macular degeneration, often progress for months or even years before presenting noticeable symptoms. That's why the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO) recommends healthy adults have their eyes examined every one to two years.
Imagine going to work tomorrow and an urgent memo is circulated around the whole staff, who promptly start working furiously, but because your vision is blurry, you have no idea what's going on. That's what school can be like for a child with vision problems, only they're much less equipped to deal with it.
If you have gotten this far without any serious eye problems, that's fantastic news! It is not, however, a good time to take your foot off the gas. Age-related vision problems like macular degeneration or cataracts become much more common once you pass 60 years of age, so eye care should become one of your top health priorities.
Just like glasses which must be properly designed and fitted to provide the best vision, contact lenses should be tailored for every pair of eyes. Advancements in technology mean that lenses can now replace glasses in correcting the vast majority of refractive eye problems - and that's just one of their many benefits!

I've been going here for many years. I've seen different doctors over the years and each one is always professional and knowledgeable. Recently it has been Dr. Wilbee and he is always friendly and answers all my questions. The reception staff are always friendly and professional as well. I love the convenience of the online booking system and that evening appointments are always available. I no longer live close to this office but they are definitely worth the drive!

I went there to get my prescription. I didn't want to order the frames with them because they are mega expensive, and I wanted to order my frames at Zenni.com, didn't give me the Pupillary Distance (PD) and they told me they CANNOT help me if I don't do the frames with them. Super disappointed with the service.

Disgusting Pt experience. The receptionist was so rude. I received a call from receptionist when I was just 10 minutes running behind. They just cancelled the appointment, even though I was just outside the office. My appointment was booked for half an hour. Still they unable to manage. Poor management of team

Dr. White is an excellent optometrist and does a very thorough examination. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes the time to explain things in detail. Dr. White never rushes you! Staff at Westmount Optometrists are all extremely professional, pleasant and helpful. Purchased my first pair of glasses here and Ann Marie was outstanding and very personable.

Dr. White explained things clearly, and was thorough in his examination. I also didn't feel like I was being upsold as I've experienced with previous optometrists, as they didn't try to sell be on getting extra tests, gave me my prescription when I left, and there was zero pressure to buy glasses on site. Excellent experience, felt like a valued and supported patient.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. The staff is friendly, helpful and have excellent taste in helping me find new glasses that suit me. Dr. Wilbee is wonderful! He is approachable, easy to talk to and thorough in his assessments. He even takes the time to walk you out and ensures the glass' area staff knows you are there. This minor, but appreciated extra step ensures his patients that they are important to him. Thanks to your team for providing exceptional service to me over the last decade! You are all truly appreciated!
