Dr. Josephine Pepe is pleased to welcome Dr. Marina Bobanovic (formerly Sostaric) to the team at Old North Optometry. Dr. Marina Bobanovic was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a Bachelor of Science with high distinction in Human Physiology at the University of Iowa in 2015. She went on to graduate from Illinois College of Optometry summa cum laude and received the Presidential Award in 2020.
Comprehensive eye examinations are about more than just checking the prescription (or refraction). Our optometrists will examine the complete and overall health of your eyes. With a comprehensive eye examination, we assess the refractive status, the binocular vision (how your eyes work separately and together) and the health of the eyes including a dilated fundus examination.
The Tonoref II by Nidek provides state of the art technology, taking a number of measurements including autorefraction, which is a starting point for the doctors to check your prescription. It also gives keratometry readings, which is a measurement of the curvature of the eye. This instrument also measures the intraocular pressure in the eye with a soft puff of air.
Contact lenses are a medical device, and should be used with care and the supervision of your optometrist. We offer fittings and assessments of a variety of contact lenses, including daily-, monthly- and bi-weekly modalities, toric lenses (that correct for astigmatism), multifocals, coloured contact lenses, and iris-enhancing lenses.
Old North Optometry is proud to be the first office in London trained to provide LipiFlow, the breakthrough treatment for dry eye sufferers. LipiFlow is a procedure designed to treat the root cause of the most common form of Dry Eye-Evaporative Dry Eye disease. This disease is caused by a blockage in your Meibomian glands-located in the upper and lower eyelids-and results in a shortage of oil in your tear film.

Don’t go here if you want to be treated rudely. From the first visit, Linda was absolutely rude to my mother over the phone and dumbed down the Covid screening questionnaire to her like she was a child after we told her we are in a rush! She did that on purpose. She was rude the whole appointment. Very unprofessional. Linda also treated me very poorly for not showing up to pick up my frames that had taken over a month and a half to come in. Just had a baby, have a concussion, and do not drive. Linda was very inconsiderate of my situation. When I got there today, I was told I needed to bring something

My husband went to Old North Optometry and had a great experience! Everyone was practising safe COVID protocols, and the staff was amazing. Very kind and personable. Easy to talk to, and answered all questions! First time appointment was quick and efficient. Parking was free and easy to find a spot. Upon booking the appointment, the receptionist was so thorough and so kind. You can tell she's great at her job. Can't say enough good things! :)

Not very considerate in terms of setting realistic expectations for length of appointment times. Told us the appointment would only take 1 to 1 1/2 hour to complete, ended up taking 2 1/2 hours and I almost missed another appointment. The overall organization and management of these appointments could be handled a lot better.

There are so many good things I can say about my experience here. It was one of the best customer service experiences ever. I got an appointment in less than 24 hrs. There was a thorough and comprehensive inspection of my eyes. Dr. Pepe was knowledgeable, competent and professional. She was not however pretentious or condescending. It is evident that she loves her work and has found her calling. She allowed me to run to work mid appointment and return at my convenience while I waited for my eyes to fully dilate. When I returned she was detailed in explaining some potential issues to be monitored
