Pine Ridge Veterinary Clinic
Pine Ridge Veterinary Clinic is a full-service Veterinary Hospital and has been proudly treating the beloved pets of the Cobourg community since 1976. We understand the value a pet brings to life. That's why we focus on preventative medicine as the basis for superior veterinary care. We are always accepting new patients! Pine Ridge Veterinary Clinic offers a full range of services for your pet including surgery, dentistry, wellness, feline grooming and more!
Services
Pine Ridge Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Vern Chase and his wife Dr. Patricia Stapley Chase in 1976. The Chases are the heart and soul of our clinic. Not only have they treated countless numbers of local pets throughout the years, they are also active in our community through various organizations.
Our clinic has various services designed to help animals heal as quickly as possible and keep them healthy into the future. Whether your pet has a dental issue or is suffering from pain, or just needs a spa day, we've got lots of treatment options available. We believe the key to your pet's long-term health is prevention.
Even when your pet is healthy, Pet Wellness Exams are vital. When treated early, there are issues that can be quickly solved, which is why we're committed to practicing preventative care at Pine Ridge. Contact us to learn more about our services and how you can help make a difference in the lives of pets.
Yes! Pets, like people, need regular dental care. Studies have shown that greater than 85% of dogs and cats over 3 years of age have some form of dental and/or gum disease. Imagine not brushing your teeth or having them cleaned for 3 years! Our experienced team provides superior dental care for your dogs and cats, including cleaning, dental xrays and extractions.
We believe at Pine Ridge that alternative therapies can be very valuable used alone, or in conjunction with more conventional treatment such as medication and surgery. Dr. Patricia Stapley Chase is acupuncture certified and has been performing this therapy along with laser treatment and herbology for a number of years.

We had an amazing experience at this veterinary clinic today! The veterinarian performed the most thorough and comprehensive examination on Marlee and spent a great deal of time going over her health history and treatment options with me. The staff were very personable and provided excellent customer service.

We have been very happy with the team since we moved out this way. In particular, we recently had to bring our little girl in with a scratched cornea and Dr. Graham Biggar was exceptionally kind, compassionate and skilled at getting her eye healed. He’s a great asset to an already fantastic team!

With 20 minutes until closing and knowing we had an injury that needed immediate medical attention ( a cat with a broken leg and possible other injuries) all they were concerned about was that they needed to close soon. They also told us they had no immediate openings for at least a week. A complete lack of compassion! They should be ashamed to call themselves caregivers. They forget that these aren’t just animals they’re family members! They seemed to be able to move much more quickly earlier this year when they tried to upsell on different types of checkups. It’s obvious what’s more important

This is such a great place to take your beloved pets! Everyone on staff has made time to answer questions and listen to concerns even though it has been a very difficult time to run such a business! We feel lucky to have them. ❤️

Today Dr. Hadley was amazing! In April I brought my sick 17 yr old cat in. He was diagnosed with kidney disease, pancreas disease and going blind. Tigg was laid to rest today, Dr. Hadley was so caring and compassionate. She even allowed me to be with him for his last few minutes. Eternally grateful 🐾🐾🐾💜💜💜 Thank you Erica N Vince Martorino

This is a very caring clinic. Many years ago they saved my cat's life and we will be forever grateful. They are super busy right now but it is worth the wait if you are looking for a caring vet clinic.

We showed up on appointment. Was overlooked despite being told otherwise. Waited with a puppy in the parking lot for well over an hour. No biggie right. Would have been fine but then booked for the next puppy appointment and it was to be one day but she booked another. When I called to ask which it should be as the girl entered incorrectly. Jill said, well, everyone has to wait over an hour (we were actually overlooked multiple times) and she said that the day was correct but it was not at all what was asked and confirmed at the counter. This was met with a great attitude from this person. We overlooked

They were so caring last year when I had to have both my labs put down 4 months apart. I will definitely use them again when I get another dog.

Rocco hates the vet, but he loves Dr. McKenzie. All of the techs know how to handle a dog with high anxiety at the vet and I am never worried about the way they might treat my dog. Vet services can be pricey, and Pine Ridge has never been anything but transparent with me about what services will cost and always make sure I am OK with what they are doing before they do it. They care, and they do a good job.

Thank you so much Dr. Pat and your fabulous team . Portia has been in to see the vets a few times and she is very high strung but Dr. Pat and Teresa and the rest of her staff are amazing!!! Thank you once again for all you do :)
My baby girl Portia has been so so sick and has been in to see Dr. Pat and Teresa plus other techs so many times. It… truly has been a very stressful time. I cannot thank Dr. Pat for her utmost expertise, the numerous follow up calls and follow up appts that Portia received. When I honestly thought I was going to lose my little girl Dr. Pat went above and beyond

Ì am a new client at this clinic and I have been very welcomed there. My black cat Felix was diagnosed with diabetes the first time I was there. Was not expecting that at all. Ì thought I was going to have to put him down but Dr Pat and Dr Karen convinced me that Felix could live with this disease and that they would help me manage it. My job as a petsitter takes me away from home and I would only be able to do his insulin once a day. The Drs said it would be better than nothing and let's just see how he does. He is doing fantastic. Ì am so grateful to the Drs at Pine Ridge Vet Clinic. Ì still
