Muskie Bay has much to offer. It is situated on the beautiful south shore of Rice Lake which is recognized by the fisheries Department as being the most prolific lake in Ontario in terms of the number of fish per acre. The lake provides excellent fish from May to October for Small and Large Mouth Bass, WalleyePickerel, Muskie, Bluegill and Sunfish.
We have one screened-in fish cleaning house and a plentiful supply of fresh spring water. For the convenience of our guests we offer complementary fish freezing facilities. A 450ft rock break wall extends into the lake providing an excellent fishing Pier. Enter our weekly fishing contest or try for the "big one" and win one of Muskie Bay's annual fishing trophies.

Services
All prices quoted are in Canadian Dollars. A 10% discount is available on cottage rentals only, for your return full week visits in the same year. Inquiries can be made by mail, phone, email at any time. A deposit is required to confirm all reservations. The deposit is $200. The deposit is per cottage, per weekly rental.

First time renting a fishing boat from here and we were very disappointed. The boats are not being maintained and it was very dirty and had mold. Our boat had weeds growing in it! Seats were on the verge of snapping and ripped everywhere so it was constantly wet when sitting (See Pictures). The morning check in process was not the friendliest either, all they care about is securing that credit card number. Trolling motor also needs a new battery as it was so weak it could barley move the boat. There are too many rental places on rice lake to have this kind of neglect for such a beautiful spot,

I have been coming there since year 2011 for almost 9 years. but what happened guys. very very poor service. they have become very unorganized and very rude. cottages are not as clean. they are no where to be found if you need them. i remember a very nice lady specially the owner and her husband. they were extremely nice. they are not here this year so that could be the reason. i hope the owner comes back and look in to this and try to regain the trust of their loyal customer

Cottages are decent for their age. You know coming here to bring all your own supplies and linens.
Other then that, only real complaint I have is the pool isn't monitored at all. The seasonal campers appear to think it's their own personal pool. The one day we tried to go in they basically took up every chair with towels and food containers. Clearly you shouldn't be eating at a public pool, it's disgusting. They had empty metal food containers left all over the tables so they were unable to be used by anyone else while in the pool. Then they started eating freezies IN THE POOL. Like come on this

Horrible Horrible Stay.
We booked a week stay at Muskie Bay Resort. At check-in we find out that the pool was damaged over a month ago. My kids kept waking up in the middle of the night with bites on their faces, arms and lower back. I kept telling myself they were spider bites. Eventually after having had enough, I flipped the mattress and saw the bedbug horror. Over a dozen bedbugs change my entire view of this place and I would not recommend it to anyone. Never coming back here ever again.

If I could give this resort 0 stars, I would. My best friend and her family have been coming to this resort for over 25 years. It was bought out a couple years ago and is a dump now. My friends and I rented a cottage for the weekend and as soon as we pulled in, we knew it wasn’t taken care of. The outside wasn’t swept up and as soon as you walked into the cottage, all you could smell was mold. When you walk in, there is the door to the basement that I’m assuming was suppose to be unlocked and when you look down the stairs, there are visible puddles of water, cat litter, clothes everywhere

I really feel sorry for the owner of this cottage. The owner only comes to the cottage once in awhile, and obviously he has no idea how well his employees are looking after the cottage for him. Employees are giving zero to none effort to customer complains, and stealing customers' credit card information. If the employees can use the time they spend on writing phoney Google reviews to looking after the cottages and taking care of customer complains; it would've made the cottage a better place to stay.

First time I rented a boat from them I rented the "Larger bass boat"
Was made to sign a waiver that the boat would come back in good condition and clean. Got the boat and it was disgusting dirty.! Used gloves all over empty cigarette packages and dirt and moss growing in the carpet. Figured whatever we just wanna get out on the lake do some fishing......the steering wheel was broken in half . Against my better judgment I decided to book with them for a pontoon boat rental also disgusting. DO NOT RECOMMEND .!!

We visited this July 4th weekend. Prior to booking we had asked if their cottages with air conditioned (I’m 7 months pregnant so this was an important factor) they said yes and we originally booked a 2 bedroom cottage. Come to find out upon arriving that cottage was in fact not air conditioned and we were charged 90 extra to move up to the 3 bedroom cottage (number 28).
Upon entering the cottage the kitchen was quite nice but quickly upon review it was not clean and quite outdated. The smell that filled the small cottage was like must mixed with sewage. It went away once we turned the air on
