A licensed and a registered optician with the College of Opticians of BC, Neil also completed four years at The Canadian Guild of Dispensing Opticians and the Opticians Association of Canada. Neil has been in the optical trade for over thirty years. Joanne has been with BC Eye Care for over 5 years assisting customers and staff with all their needs.

Gill received her Bachelor of Science in 2014, at the University of the Fraser Valley and completed her Doctorate in Optometry in 2017, with honors, from Pacific University. She did her internship at sites that specialized in ocular disease, pediatric care/vision therapy, contact lenses, and primary care.

We utilize the latest instruments and technologies to help us diagnose your precise vision. During pre-testing and throughout the exam we may ask questions that help determine your prescription. The Optos Retinal Image Scanner creates digital images of the eye called Optomaps. These images are taken in seconds and typically without eye drops or dilation of the pupil that are used in traditional retinal exams.

Have had repeated upsell pressure on paying for optional eye exams since the new owners took over. Today had booked an appointment for someone with Iritis. They accepted the booking but on arrival wanted to perform a general eye exam (paid of course) before performing a simple map covered check for the Iritis flare up which they booked the appointment for. I know businesses need to make money but this smacks of desperation. Will be finding a new eye doctor and requesting a records move.

The doctor I had before was amazing. This clinic changed hands and now everything is to squeeze money out of you. I have a history of iritis, made an appointment because I am feeling the symptoms and when I got there they said I needed an vision exam which is incorrect. I need someone to make sure the iritis was not flaring up. Now I have to go to the hospital. Switching my whole family out of this clinic.

Was seen by the optometrist, as she agreed to change my right eye prescription and keep my left eye the same as my current glasses she THEN proceeded to Wright me a prescription for new glasses with NO prescription for my left eye at all. As I my left eye is a lazy eye and I’ve had glasses for years SHE messed up. I had glasses made and we didn’t notice until I went to pick up my nee glasses that the optometrist messed up. I called to get her to fix it and it took me calling non stop for 3 hours. And they were rude about it as if it was MY fault THEY messed up. And told me in future to go back

The owner REFUSED to help me with "Max". I hadn't been to another optometrist in over 3 years prior to going there. I had ZERO requests other than an eyeglass prescription and was not seen by anyone else, You refunded my money but couldn't get me out fast enough, and had no interest in speaking with me on the phone later when I called prior to posting my review. This update has been shared with the owner via yelp pm.

Having purchased sunglasses and frames from here, it has always been pleasant and simple. Ted creates a no pressure atmosphere, helpful and informative when asked about specifics, offers tasteful alternatives and doesn't interject. The easy going vibe resonates into good decisions and they have full catalogs of anything, always found something I like. These are the few main reasons why I go back.
