Dr. Roushanak Shafaghi is a dedicated dentist with more than 25 years of experience in general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry including composite fillings, veneers and crowns. She began her education at Azad University in Tehran, Iran, where she graduated a dental school in 1994. In 2011, she earned her DMD at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and began dental practicing in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Dr. Shafaghi splits her time between teaching as a clinical instructor at the UBC, and practicing at the Happy Smile Dental Clinic, where she uses her knowledge and experience to continue to do what she loves most, helping patients. Dr. Shafaghi actively pursue continuing education so that she can provide her patients with the most up-to-date treatments available.

Orthodontics is the treatment of irregularities in the teeth and jaws, including the use of braces that will be cemented on teeth. Preventative dentistry (health line) focuses on those procedures and life practices that help people to prevent the beginning or progression of oral disease. A dental restoration or dental filling is a dental restorative material used to restore the function, integrity and morphology of missing tooth structure.
If you cannot do so we will give you the forms in the clinic. As you enter the clinic, your forms will be looked over by the receptionist and your temperature will be taken. Use the hand sanitizer provided at the reception desk as soon as you enter the clinic and before you leave. You will be provided a rinse to swish in your mouth for 60 seconds before your dental procedure.

HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shafaghi. I have been dreading going to the dentist since being a child, and she made it such a pleasurable experience. She is very attentive and informative about procedures while also being extremely down to earth and relatable. I’m very glad I made the switch to Dr. Shafaghi and will be spreading the word around! She extracted 2 of my wisdom teeth with ease today & made sure there was no pain/discomfort for me. I cannot thank her enough!! :)

Dr. Shafaghi is hands-down the best dentist you can visit in Surrey, BC. She is very professional and dedicated towards her patients. I got my orthodontic procedures done from her office and I am beyond satisfied with the results and how she fulfilled all my needs. The staff is very polite and accommodating throughout your experience. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shafaghi to anyone looking for treatment and other requests.

I am very happy with the dentist and her assistants both. I got my implant surgery done in Alberta and moved to BC before getting the crown. I was worried if some dentist office here in Surrey will accept me as a patient and complete my incomplete implant. I love the personal touch of staff and doctor, they have taken my case and finally I got perfect seemless implant. I never feel any artificial sense in my mouth.

Worst dental clinic my wife went with tooth ache Dr Shafaghi made hole on my wife's tongue, my wife was bleeding nonstop to cover up Shafaghi kept telling my wife nothing its bleeding from the tooth when it was bleeding from big cut on under the tongue, not sure how many other people experience same, took pictures of the cut will post if needed, even after 24 hours my wife is still in pain.
Horrible experience never ever going to this place for sure.

Very good service!! If I can I would rate it more then 5 stars I think the service was so good and felt amazing! I think Dr. Roushanak Shafaghi is so sweet. She is such a sweet soul and always is there for her customers! Front desk service was excellent too. Just overall amazing dental office and totally recommend! Me And my family always come here we think the service is amazing and have been coming here for a long time!

Had broken 2 fillings and google searched experienced dentist near me who was able to deal with emergency dental repairs. Not only did this clinic get me in same day, the dentist has a great bedside manner, uses upto date methods, was quick and attentive. I like this dentist very much. My partner has anxiety about dentists and I felt she would put him at ease and was very happy to book him an appointment for the follow Saturday with her.
