The variety of our dishes based on fresh masala and herb mixtures, just as they would have been prepared in the kitchen of south India. These masalas not only give flavour, but also have natural medicinal values. We have been offering Toronto a great selection of variety of crispy dosas. South Indian cuisine served in Toronto, ecstatic ambience with south india's medicinal herb dishes.
Special thanks to Chef, I had Dosa and Vadacurry, I felt the taste which I use to eat back in Chennai. Super yummy food. I always get the lamb curry and coconut milk chicken biriyani. Perhaps my favourite Indian restaurant. in Toronto - Maybe because they're located less than 5 mins away from my place.

Price: really good pricing for everything ($12-15 dosa's) and large, shareable portion sizes
My experience: tried their food many times. Great tasting dosa's ✅ and delicious biryanis and rice dishes (the pilau's so tasty). I've tried a rava dosa, masala dosa, egg and cheese paratha (very large and served rolled) and everything is always really good. 🤤🤤 Perfectly spicy as well
For takeout I like how they packed the dosa stuffing (mashed seasoned potatoes) seperate. Helps keeping the actual dosa stay fresh. Comes with every chutney (coconut, red chutney, sambar) 🤤 Sambar was wrapped

What an amazing brunch option! We tried the mix appetizer which had vada (yum) veg cutlet (super yum) veg pakoras and paneer pakora. it was great and big enough for 3 to share.
And then we had the masala dosa.....this was by far the best dosa i have eaten in a long long time. It was perfect and so crispy. the sambar and chutneys with it was great.
also tried their instant coffee...it was perfect. They even frothed it.
friend had the masala chai and she loved it.
small clean place and they checked all covid needed docs.
Staff were great and friendly as well.
will def go again soon.

The food was good. Nice to have some authentic Masala Dosa without being charged a bomb. The madras coffee was just so-so. The services bad, they got us the wrong order, then forgot one of our orders, got us one bill despite asking for separate ones and lastly forgot to get us boxes for take away. This all happened, when the place was not at all crowded.
Edit: The owner was quick to respond to the review, appreciate that and therefore I added one more star to the review :) Also, did want to give the server a benefit of doubt that they are new! Cheers.

Really great service and the food is excellent. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They are great at making suggestions. The food is all made from scratch. Some of the best sambar anywhere in North America. The dosas are excellent. The vadas were nice and crisp. The outdoor seating allows you to enjoy the unique location beside Christie Pits Park. You won’t regret a visit here.

One of the BEST spots in Toronto for dosa. I don't think I ever really had much of a taste for dosa until I came here.
We started off with the chaat papri and pani puri which were super flavorful and yummy. We also ordered idli and vada, the vada especially was excellent; so freshly made and crispy. The real star of the meal however was the dosa. We ordered chili cheese masala, chili onion masala, Mysore masala, and regular masala dosa, all of which were absolutely delicious. They were warm and crispy, and remained crispy even after the dosas were out and had cooled for a bit. The sambar

THE SAAG. I am obsessed with the saag. If I had to choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life, it would be the Madras Masala's saag. I've ordered it countless times and it never disappointed. It's difficult to choose between the saag paneer and the saag chicken, but it's the right decision either way. The chicken is never dry and the paneer is always fresh.
but it's really about the saag. it's creamy. it's green af. it's the perfect smoothness - not too smooth like a smoothie but also not strands that'll get stuck in your teeth. it's got

It's a cozy little spot for dosa. This is my first time trying does, it was a interesting texture. The service was very friendly and the waitress gave us some suggestions. Food came rather slowly, but hopefully that means it's just made. Price was low, if you are curious to try some southern Indian food, this is a convenient place.

I had the ghee dosa and my partner has the chili cheese dosa. Both were delicious, we did both prefer the ghee dosa. Both were filled with potato and onion. Our food came with 3 dips I don't remember what they were but all three were good. We also ordered the mango lassi and the royal falooda. Both were delicious and the royal falooda was so good. We'll come back again for some dosa, it's delicious.

So I went to Madras Masala last weekend near Christie station. And I mention the station because we went by car and struggled to fine parking lol. Next time I might go through the station - but that's a good thing, there is a next time!
So this a cozy little South Indian restaurant however I noticed that their menu extends beyond South Indian dishes, which is a good thing of course, however my friend and I decided to stick to our plan of coming here for the dosa. And we're glad we did because these are some of the biggest dosas I have seen!

I want to give Madras Masala four stars but I can't. After many visits to Madras Masala, I have to admit that their dosas are good but they are not outstanding.
We ordered the veggie cutlets and medhu vada as appetizers and paper masala dosa as mains. The veggie cutlets were filled with spiced potatoes breaded and fried to a crisp and paired well with the mint and tamarind chutneys. The cutlets were a nicely-sized portion and were easily shared between two people. Yummy!
The medhu vada (fried savoury lentil "donuts" aka vada served with sambhar and coconut chutney) was only OK

Haven't been here in awhile but was craving Indian food.
I got the coriander potatoe dosa.
Good: good size, sambar nice
Bad: the filling is bit mushier not too many chunks of potatoes. I'm used to getting the coriander mixed with my potato but the coriander was like thin paste put on my dosa itself. The unfortunate result was not crispy edges. the dosa was still tasty to eat
Sambar: I liked it. Was mild so if you want Indian hot, this is not the place. It taste homemade. But if you want an extra side of it as I found it wasn't enough, you are charged for it $1 but I've been

My wife and I decided to try this place as I was craving a dosa. She got the butter chicken with naan.
I got the cheese dosa and I was quite impressed with it. The naan was amazing however a little too oily. When it came to the butter chicken - I really thought they could have done better. It was a little too sweet and very 'whipping creamish'
For desert, I tried the rava kesari which was ok. The masala tea was alright as well but not as good as the places on Gerard st.
The service was absolutely fantastic and the servers were really kind and attentive.

My very first experience with authentic South Indian cuisine and I absolutely loved it! My boyfriend and I were wandering around the area to find a place for brunch but we ended up here, and I guess why not?
The place is tiny yet cozy. The staff was quick assigning seats for us. He was very nice and helpful. We ordered dosa and papri chaat. I was told that these dishes are one of the most popular street food in South India. The food came out late but they were warm and nice.
Papri Chaat came out first with cilantro (hari) chutney. Indian tacos? Anyways, it is little crisp round spiced crackers
