We found this restaurant on the Vancouver dine out list and the menu sounded delicious. We ordered the Zaffrani Malai Murg, Semolina Fried Fish for appetizers, Lamb Bhuna and Creamy Malai Kofta for entrees, and Shahi Tulsa and Srikhand Cannoli for desserts. We were also pleasantly surprised that each course came with a wine pairing included in the price. The food was amazing and service was top notch. The staff was super friendly and felt very personable.

The best of the best on Commercial Drive. Friendly staff and great service. If you are craving amazing Indian food, this is your place. Love the fish pakoras, aloo tikki chat, malai kofta, butter chicken, lamb rogan josh and Iran jalfrezi. Can't go wrong with the naan (any variety) or any of the biyanis or rotis! So much choice, bring your appetite!

Delivery .. Food was delicious 🤤 we had the butter chicken and mango chicken with coconut rice and garlic naan with veggie samosas. Everything was packaged nicely and tasted amazing . Next time I would get toppings for samosas on the side just to keep the crunch of pastry. Definitely ordering again!

Chefs review- The cook here poured his heart and soul on the plate. Limited people for service in the restaurant, still floated a great Friday night service.
The chicken korma was excellent and the only place in Canada I have had proper naan and roti which wasn’t stretchy (usually Baking Soda,
Gluten extract added) The chicken in the biryani was first cooked in tandoor and then mixed in added a much layer of complexity. To my surprise the dine was great, and the team sent a house made water goblet pouches to accommodate the time.

Lots of vegan items listed on the menu, so we did some takeout for dinner one evening. We ordered online, specified the time we wanted to pick it up, and everything was waiting on time. They even do 15% for pick-up, which makes the prices pretty reasonable. Each dish we ordered was moderately tasty, though we were pretty underwhelmed with the flavour complexities. Also, all the dishes were very soupy/saucy, with little substance -- not sure I've ver had such saucy Indian food. It's nice as dipping sauce for bread or for flavouring rice, but the lack of vegetables and general substance

The worst Indian restaurant I've ever been to. They give more importance to delivery customers than dine in customers. I left 10 different restaurants just to visit here for food because i was craving fir Indian food. But these guys sucks and lost being an indian i would say only location is saving these people. Worst worst service snd when asked why it was cold the waiter said because they were making skip orders first.
Wow great service guys! Keep it up!!

The atmosphere amazing and the menu is great. Been here multiple times and I have never been disappointed. The butter chicken is out of this world, the naan is fresh and the food is very affordable. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new restaurant to try out, you won't regret it. I give a thumbs up to this place!

Went for lunch today was my first time great ambiance - walked in and there were 2 couples in the restaurant we weren't sure if we were to sit ourselves down or wait to be seated.
Took a good 5 mins until a staff member came out of the kitchen. Finally got a table and went to order food. We went to order samosa's and the waiter said their samosa's are not fresh. Glad he was honest about that.
What was strange was that the restaurant was not busy but it took 20-30 mins for our food to arrive at our table..
food was good - wish they put more chicken in their butter chicken , very

Had the lunch buffet at this place. For the price you're getting, it's awesome value. Endless warm naan bread, chai tea and a few hot dishes plus samosas for $13, can't beat that! A few of the dishes could be served warmer due to the lukewarm hot plates but given the size of the restaurant, I wasn't expecting much. It's still good stuff!
Servers were friendly and helped explained a few items I haven't tried, really appreciate the enthusiasm! Not a fancy restaurant by any means but do go there for a quick Indian fix and you won't be disappointed! :) Thanks and I will be back definitely!

We loved the food and service here. We ordered the baingan bhartha and dal makhni. The flavors were on point and represented the type of food we eat at home. Overall, I am not sure why their Yelp rating is low. My first reaction when I ate the food was that this is not a three-star rated restaurant, definitely deserves higher. Hope you folks give it a try.

Great tasting food. We had the chicken combo and Lamb Josh, very tasty. The portions was more then enough for 2 people. 3.50 beers as well cant complain. $2 roti was very reasonable and a good size.
The restaurant looks nice, but upon further inspection you can tell a lot of it is pretty worn out. The server was very nice and attentive. Wasn't too busy on a weds night.
The prices are in the mid teens for most mains which is probably standard nowadays for a sit down place on the drive.
Only draw back? You have to be okay with a couple fruit flys hovering around your table. I'm pretty

Food: 9/10
Service: excellent
Atmosphere: calm
I came here with a group of friends and the food was great. The service was top notch and the authenticity of the dishes were on point. Ordered chicken masala, garlic naan, and couple of its appetizers.
They also serve beer so it's a great place to bring your frnds and just eat and relax. I would definitely come back to the area.

I don't eat a lot of Indian food so I don't really have anything to compare this food to, but it was pretty good. I paid $10 for an all you can eat buffet. The flavor was there, but there just wasn't enough food. They were pretty busy and couldn't keep up with the quantity of food. They only had one waitress!

I really enjoyed this food! Generous portions and very authentic and unique. They will also make anything spicy, including the spinach paneer, which is phenomenal. I like the family owned feel and the staff is very accommodating and authentic. They brought us a mango rice dessert after forgetting out appetizer, very kind. We were so full we didn't really need it anyhow!
I will definitely return here. Usually gets busy later on, so get there early if you don't want to wait!

Its a small place . Well placed tables for almost 30 people.
Since i have eaten alot of indian food at very best restaurants of surrey so the food wasn't even closer to good. Too oily n portions were for 2 people . They didnt let us know that the dishes will b served with rice otherwise we would not order biryani. Rooh afza was named royal mughlaye on the menu n too expensive . Its more of a place for white people because typical indian food is not cooked there. They customize to the taste which is good.

If you're looking for truly authentic and delicious Indian food this is the place. It recently reopened (January 2015) after renovating the kitchen and Siddhartha the owner and chief is working his culinary magic most nights.
The butter chicken is very tasty with a rich sauce and perfect naans. I usually order the vegetarian pakora as a starter.
The lamb curry is also worth checking out. The prices are reasonable and they have some great specials so phone them to see when and what is available.
They also serve up a great beer and tandori happy hour deal for about $9 which is a killer
