Services
We are changing all our color service pricing over to an hourly rate. The reason we are doing this is to make pricing clear and transparent for our clients: We base the cost on time, your stylists experience + skill level. We will continue to calculate product costs at the time of visit to ensure clients are paying for only what is used.
Simona is the leader of the Locket pack and the driving force behind the salon's community and culture. She's been a hair stylist for fourteen years, a salon owner for eight and now she's giving back by mentoring new up and coming stylists. Lately, Simona has taken a step back from taking on new clients to focus on the salon and supporting new stylists as they grow their talent and skills.
Amanda has been at Locket since the beginning and is an integral part of our community. She keeps it playful, which is why clients from age 7 to 70 love sitting in her chair. In the beginning she was all about intricate hairstyles, wild hues and funky perms, but now she can add blondes to her specialties and can help you get that perfect hue.
Sam's career in barbering started when shows like Mad Men and Suits started influencing men's style. She had a roster of male clients who were coming in with pictures of Harvey Spector - a character from Suits - asking for prohibition-era styles and tight fades that weren't taught in hair school. So she went to a barber shop to learn the trade.
Booking an appointment? Running late? Having a hair emergency? The first person you'll talk to at Locket Hair Salon is Sarah, our receptionist extraordinaire. Sarah moved to Vancouver from the US and we say that Ohio's loss is our gain, because not only is Sarah a great addition to our team, she is also pursuing hair as a full-time career.

Locket Hair Salon has the best customer service. I made an online order for some haircare products (thanks to Amanda for recommending them when I got my hair done back in April) and I figured I would pick them up after work. Now I lost track of the time and picked them up as they where literally closing up the store. I 100% would have come back at a better time because it was my fault for not managing my time properly. Now they could have said sorry we are closed, but they where kind enough to let me get my order. This small gesture just made my day and I will be a repeat customer but with a better

They say there are two kind of hair salons in this world: Those that style great hair and those that provide excellent service. Well I would like to propose a third category for Locket: A salon that combines great service with exceptional talent and a community feel, that often goes above and beyond for their clients. As someone who has been receiving hair cuts his entire life, I can say with confidence that Locket is one of the best salons in the entire Greater Vancouver area. I should know, I have great hair and I am a Google Maps Local Guide. Sam is the best.

I am usually a 12$ haircut guy and get it done and get out of there. Locket though has some of the friendliest staff and give great cuts at every hour erry day. Before the pandemic they also casually served beers which is really nice to sip on while you and Lucy chat. So yeah I am down to pay more than the other guy because you’re getting value. Will go again you should too.

I found Lucy while she was still in hairstyling school and haven't gone to anyone else since! She takes the time to do a great consult before each cut, checks in at multiple points to make sure you're happy and involved in the hair cut journey (she genuinely wants feedback to make sure you leave with the cut of your dreams!) and she's also a long layer magician. Oh and she's just an all around great person to have a chat with. Thanks Lucy!

Sad to rate them this low because I really wanted to like them and here I am writing this review a year later because I am still dealing with the damage my hair suffered from a one time color treatment from here. I showed a photo and said I wanted chocolate brown but got a very yellow blonde and then the stylist tried to correct it but I still ended up getting a dirty blonde and then they rushed because the next appointment was waiting. I left the salon with my hair still not fully dry in winter time. When I got home, I could feel something was not right. My hair texture changed and it felt very

I got a haircut from Lucy recently, and have to say it is one of my favourite hair cuts I have had in a long time! She was professional yet down-to-earth and friendly. She really makes sure you are happy with how your hair is looking as she goes. Will definitely be coming back!

Emilie helped transform my hair this week and it was an amazing experience. The whole staff was so friendly, and supportive; There is a lot of skill and knowledge under one roof here! Awesome music, drinks offered, decorated amazingly for halloween. Hands down the most enjoyable salon experience I have had.

I had my first visit to Locket today after rave reviews by my daughter who has been a long time client of one of the stylists. I saw Amanda for a root colouring and trim. We talked about what I was looking for and she made some suggestions. I was absolutely thrilled with the results! Lovely salon, amazing service, price very reasonable for skill and products used. I'll be back for sure!

Amanda did an amazing job at colouring and cutting my hair! I had tried to get a nice, blended balayage several times at different places and no one would ever get it right, but Amanda did! I showed her a couple reference pictures of what I liked but told her to do whatever she thought would look best on me. It's like she was reading my mind or… something because she did exactly what I had been looking for for so long. Not only she is great at colouring hair but at cutting it too. I asked her to "make my ends less heavy" and she totally understood what I meant and made my ends look amazing

Amanda Gilkes is amazing at what she does! I completely trust my hair in her hands every time I go in for an appointment and I never walk away disappointed. She loves her job and it clearly shows after every treatment. I recommend her 100% if you want someone to think outside of the box and have fun with your hair!
