First time ordering from Bloom. It was a mixed bag. Cod cakes were excellent. Fluffy inside and a thin crispy batter. Nicely seasoned with a small tomato salad as garnish. But the reason we wanted to try Bloom was they have paella. Nice portion that two could easily share. But we didn't even finish it. The mussells were oddly salty and the only flavour we could taste in the rice was that of the sausage. The sausage was tough. The shrimp and the few lonely scallops were fine and the calamari was tough as well. Oh well.

Bloom Restaurant, in the heart of Bloor West Village. It is very quaint.
Modern Latin American fare but with a North American twist.
The Lamb Shank was soft, fall of the bone and very delicious. Braised in red wine sofrito. Loved everything from the lamb, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies it came with.
The Spanish style paella had chicken, shrimps, scallops, chorizo. Chicken tasted a little over cooked but everything else was tasty.
Ended the night with a surprise sweet treat. Flourless chocolate cake.
Would definitely come back for the lamb shank and great staff.

We went to Bloom on a Saturday night, I believe, one of the last tables seated of the night. We ordered the platter to share, it came with 2 empanadas, tortilla chips, steak, cornish hen, chorizo, vegetables and potatoes (for $60). The food came out very quickly. However the quality wasn't great. We ordered our steak rare and it came out well done (they redid it for us), the cornish hen was dry and the sausage was under cooked. After our drinks and tip we paid just under $100, and it honestly wasn't worth it. We would have stuck around for dessert and more drinks, but we didn't want to be disappointed

The food is delicious, my entire family agree. Firstly, the ceviche quality and portion size sets it apart from what is typically served at most restaurants. I had the lamb, which was awesome but the star of the show was the beef cheeks!! Those will not disappoint you, I highly recommend that dish. The ambiance of the restaurant is fine but not amazing, which doesn't bother me as I will definitely be going back for the food.

We ordered the ceviche and crispy purple calamari to start (both were dairy free minus the aioli that came with the calamari). Both were incredibly fresh, and the blue corn on the calamari was an nice twist. For main dishes we ordered the paella, lamb shank, and Cuban steak. I was very excited that the paella was dairy free. All of the dishes were incredible.
The restaurant atmosphere was nice, staff were very kind and knowledgeable about the food. I also enjoyed the art work that was displayed on the walls. Overall it was an amazing dinner and I look forward to returning and trying more of the

Great Service, Went there on sat evening and ordered a Mojito, there was nothing wrong with the drink however I like my drink strong so I ordered a shot of rum on the side. The owner noticed my intention and gave me the shot on the house. I also asked for tostones which was not on menu and they managed to make it for me and once again at no extra charge. These are the little things that makes you appreciate family run restaurants.
Gracias por la excelente comida y el servicio.

Bloom is a restaurant that specialized in Nuevo Latino Cuisine. At Bloom, you can have a fusion taste of Peruvian, Brazilian, Argentinian, Cuban, and Spanish cuisine. I got to tried their winterlicious menu last night, oh boy I definitely found some of my favourite dishes!
The Cuabn Spanish style braised beef cheeks is insane! Beef cheeks is a part that contains tendons and lean meat. After 2 and half hours of braising in beer and homemade sofrito sauce, the tendon becomes a buttery texture that insantly melts in your mouth!
Also, the Peruvian style duck fried rice has that aromatic cilantro

Great atmosphere, great food, but to me the highlight of the evening was the bread pudding. It was absolutely to die for, I suspect I'll find myself stopping by again just for that dessert.
1 star taken off just because the service was slow, although it was busy (Saturday night) and the wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Other than that no complaints!

Atmosphere- great welcoming from the start!
We were here for summerlicious eager to have some authentic Latin food.
Well the service was really nice, the food was good but it was definitely a fusion of some sort. Not Latin enough for me.
I had the gaspacho for an appetizer. Very interesting flavors.
I had the sirloin steak for my entree which was not as flavorful as I imagined it would be. Although the presentation was nice I could have made a better steak at home with salt and pepper. The potatoes however were delicious!
As for the dessert I had the pannacotta which was light and fluffy

1st time at Bloom Restaurant via Winterlicious. The items on the Licious menu I chose were all pretty good albeit portions are on the small side. The Fabada, Chicken Fricassee, and Bread Pudding had filled me up but probably not to the extent that feels is worth $28. The Chicken Fricassee could definitely use more rice considering how large the plate was - yes, I know it's a Winterlicious portion.
Service in general was okay. I highly suggest larger cups as I often needed to drink water to accompany the food. Perhaps let customers keep a pitcher at their table?
Overall, I enjoyed my 1st time

Great ambiance and personable servers, however, the food was quite mediocre. I came here for Winterlicious, knowing full well that the portions will he small, however, the portions were extra small, I found. The servers were kind enough, and really accommodated us, however the relaxing ambiance and personable servers unfortunately didn't offset the ordinary taste of the food on the Winterlicious menu.

Came here to try the Winterlicious menu but I was dissapointed. Even though the meal was delicious, the atmosphere made the experience worse. I would like to try this restaurant on another day to see if it improves but for now I would not recommend it.
Pros
- The waiters were very accommodating and tried their best to make us have a good time. Someone's reservation didn't go through so they gave him a $50 voucher.
- The food was the best part of the experience! They only had the winterlicious menu but I'm glad they only focused on that.
Cons
- The structure of the place felt very

We went there for summerlicious dinner, the service and internal deco are great!! We ordered salmon and such for starter, bison rib and duck for main dish, Apple and cheese cake for dessert, the starter and dessert were excellent, but main dish is kind of ordinary, the bison tasted very plain and duck was chewy, didn't match the restaurant's reviews and our expectation. Maybe we should try their regular menu someday.

Thoroughly enjoyable and delicious Summerlicious lunch on a relaxed Saturday. First time trying Nuevo Latino and Chef Pedro Quintanilla made ours a delightful experience.
Plating, texture, and flavour of the dishes were thoughtful and creative. We were very pleased to have tried: duck tostadas, salad with palm hearts, salmon terrine, guava cheese cake, and apple empanada.
We had a reservation for 11am but apparently the restaurant didn't open until 11:30. Nonetheless, Chef Pedro accommodated us graciously. We were seated and served tout de suite. The gentleman who later came in later and

Came for Winterlicious lunch on Saturday. A company of 3. One word to describe the experience: smooth.
As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted, coats checked and brought to our table with menus in place. These guys were expecting us and they were ready.
We were granted adequate time to mull over the menu, and served water in the meantime. Then, with our "decided" composure at play, our server reemerged in minutes to take our orders.
To start, we had the croquettes and cassava/leak soup; for entree, a round of black squid ink paella; and for dessert, the guava bread pudding

Summerlicious ($35) at Bloom Restaurant was quite delicious.
Summer rain and me forgetting my wallet resulted in me being over 30 minutes late for my reservation. The staffs did find a table for me but my Yelp Drinking Buddy who was busy drinking down the street was later than me, so I ended up ordering one of their Martini Sparkling Pom ($12) which was delicious...
My eating arrangement with my YDB is that we always that we have to order something different so I am stuck with
Appetizer: Prosciutto-wrapped Chicken With Frisee Salad and a Guava Foam Dressing
Main:Coriander Roasted Arctic
