Dr. Chersa is a general dentist and has been practicing over 10 years. He attended the University of Calgary where he received Bsc Honours in Environmental Sciences and worked for Canadian Natural Resources (CNRL) on the Horizon Oil Sands project north of Fort McMurray. He decided to change career paths, and enrolled in McGill University's dental program in Montreal.
He loves dentistry, and enjoys working with patients to provide them with positive dental experience. He has a beautiful daughter, and when not practicing he spends time outdoors with his family hiking, biking, and of course fishing. Dr. Chu was raised in Edmonton, and is proud to call Edmonton home.

Although we are not obligated to follow the guide, we decided to follow it in order to make our services more affordable for our patients.
The iTero Element Scanner is digital impression system that eliminates the need for full-mouth putty in your mouth. With our iTero Element Scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is this process far more comfortable than the old putty-based impressions, but it's faster and can offer a superior clinical endpoint.
Laser therapy can help improve your oral health and is a great instrument for treating periodontal disease. This is a relatively painless procedure that removes bacteria and infected tissue from inside of the gums. A small amount of laser energy is directed trough a tiny fiber that is gently placed between the gum and tooth.
We are proud to provide affordable dental implants with pricing and costs to our patients in line with the Alberta Dental Fee Guide and we offer Free Consultation at our office in West Edmonton. We take the time to explain the procedure and what it involves. If you decide to proceed, we start off by taking a 3D image of your jaw using our Cone Beam CT Scan, which allows us to do a virtual implant placement before we do the surgery.
We are proud to provide Invisalign treatments, for both teenagers and adults, and we offer Free Consultation. If you decide to proceed after your consultation, our helpful staff will assist you in sending the proper estimates to your insurance policy in order to assess eligibility. Our total Invisalign cost is about $4,900 which also includes orthodontic records.

I would highly recommend Copperwood dental to everyone. Dr Jonathan did amazing job for my rootcanal. They used the latest freezing technology and were very patient going in details. Staff is very friendly and would make you very comfortable explaining everything about patient’s dental procedure they are going to perform.

I had a wonderful experience at Copperwood Dental. My hygienist was very friendly and gentle and Dr. Chu was very kind. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything he was looking at to me and his friendly demeanor made the whole experience very positive. I would definitely recommend them to all of my friends and family!

Even though this isn’t my main dental clinic, I’ve been bailed-out a number of times over the years for short-notice procedures that I couldn’t get done at my usual clinic. I always leave feeling like I’ve been given the same treatment as any long-standing customer of theirs and although I typically don’t attribute trips-to-the-dentist as a pleasure, this might be as close as it gets. Possibly even time to look at switching..

I moved to Copperwood Dental after my dentist of decades retired. It has been a great move. The office is modern, pleasant and efficiently run. The dental hygienists are excellent. The dental work I have had done has been done well and with more modern techniques then my previous dentist was using. I am very happy with the change.

Our kids who are 8 and 6 had nerves going to Copperwood Dental for the first time after switching from another clinic but they were both so happy after their checkup and cleaning, the hygienist was very gentle! They had a pleasant experience, Thank you!

I wouldn't recommend taking your kids here especially if they are nervous about dental work. I was assured that they were good with kids and it was alright it was his first procedure. Halfway through my son is telling me that he can feel them drilling. This is naturally disturbing for a kid to experience. The dentist lost patience, literally tossed his tools like a child on to the tray with a nice clang, and huffed about in a mini temper tantrum that "he couldn't do this!" I was sitting in the waiting room in view of the office, and I just about yanked my kid out of the chair

I have been seeing Dr. Pisesky since I was about 7 years old (I'm 23 now). Even though I now live on the south side of the city, I would never switch dentists. I get anxiety even thinking about him retiring haha. Their new office is beautiful and all the girls who work there are extremely nice. The only thing I could complain about is you have to pay upfront and then wait to be reimbursed by your insurance company.
