As soon as you drive up staff is waiting on the outside. I absolutely loved the old look on the outside, only to reveal beauty on the inside. With its stunning hanging chandler in the middle. Dining/tea room is a beauty people must experience, staff is very attentive to needs. I absolutely fell in love with the vintage look and velvet walls with paisley stitching. The rooms were a perfect mix of vintage with modern. Beautiful paint in room. Very spacious. Comfortable beds. Food was good, dessert was delicious. Loved their sparkling wine!! I will definitely be going back. Next time for a longer

After reading the reviews on afternoon tea I had lowered my expectations a bit. Overall we were very happy with the service and the space was elegant. Cranberry scones were delightful, and the tea was fantastic. Some folks complained about the sandwiches being dry which they were on the day we went but it was a cute space and we could handle that one down side.

I wouldn’t spend your money on high tea here when there are several similarly priced locations in the city that offer impeccable service and food. We waited for 30 minutes after being seated - trying to get the attention of a waiter who never even looked in our direction - and eventually had to go to the hotel front desk to get someone to come serve us. They forgot to bring the jams/spreads for the scones, and for the latter half of our time our waiter was nowhere to be found. We even got up to look for him when we needed the bill and had no luck. For the price it costs to have little sandwiches

First time here. My wife and I booked an appointment for High Tea. We walked in to the Hotel and checked in. We got our coats checked and seated at our table. The waiter came over right away. The tea list is huge! We finally decided what we wanted and we each got a pot of tea. The food came minutes after. The staff is friendly and quick. The waiter explained everything to us, including the sandwiches and answered all our questions. Everything was delicious you got to try it!

My room was charming, beautifully appointed and clean. The bathroom was spotless and the tub spacious. Lovely to enjoy the feeling of being in a gracious old home rather than just another modern box like all the other modern boxes.
Staff was friendly, polite and helpful.
Previous reviews had me worried, but my experience was excellent. I will be happy to return.

First, we had originally tried to cancel our reservation a few days before and were not allowed to. We were very much looking forward to our stay but we had something come up so accommodating our request would have been appreciated. We decided to go as it was a lot of money, so we moved things around to make it work. We were still very excited to come stay at the hotel as we had heard great things about it and the photos we had seen online made it look amazing.

When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that our room wasn't ready and we needed to wait for it. We were slightly early so

Stayed in a junior suite for out 20th anniversary, main reason was nostalgia. Where to start?
1. Reception was not attentive. Had to wait because she was on the phone for quite a long time. Indifferent, not polite, almost rude.
2. The room was nothing special. The hotel definitely could use an upgrade. No complimentary water either.
They did make an effort of chocolate treats for our occasion.
3.No hotel slippers, this hotel is classified as luxury.
4.Breakfast was so so. Coffee not only was horrible but charged me $6
5.No help at check out with our bags, hence, bc category of luxury hotel

Came for the high tea, stayed overnight for the deep soak tub.
We booked the Sultan Suite for a one night stay. The room was prepared and cleaned thoroughly. It was spacious yet comfortable. The king size bed was firm whole allowing for a restful night's sleep.
We ordered room service for high tea, dinner, and breakfast. It is pricey but for a one night staycation splurge it was a taste of decadence and luxury.
For those wondering about the tub, it was big enough for two adults to enjoy a soak.

We went for a high tea at Windsor Arms and the room and tea pots were wonderful. The scones were amazing. Having said that, the sandwiches were quite dry. Considering we had to make an appointment shows that they just made all of them in one go and left them uncovered. One thing that left a nasty feeling is that they decided for us to give themselves a tip of 18%. Isn't a tip a showing of gratitude to the service given? So basically they decided that they did an excellent job and that we liked all their food and everything was perfect. Don't misunderstand it, I was totally planning to give a good

Honestly had a good time with my friends it was a nice afternoon out for some tea! The food selection was nice and the teas were good as well.
How ever the reason for the 2 stars is our server was rude when we asked him questions and complained about the tip that we didn’t give him enough and that the house takes 8% or something like that of his tip that he makes! People will tip you according to your service! Next time maybe fix your service and you will get tipped better!

Such a wonderful afternoon tea! Tea selection was lengthy - so many choices. An amazing organic Earl Gray - yummy ! Our server was extraordinary, explaining everything in detail and answering all our questions. The sandwiches and sweets were perfect. Don't miss out on enjoying this afternoon tea. You won't be disappointed.

I recently had my daughter's wedding at the Windsor Arms hotel in Toronto. . I was so disappointed. The event manager Jason Friedman is 31 years old and totally unqualified for the position. He is the son of the owner George Friedman . Hence he has the position. Our ceremony ended 15 minutes earlier than anticipated. We had rented the bar area for cocktails after the ceremony for $1000.00 .As our guests left the area where the ceremony was as they needed to flip the room for the dinner people wanted to enter the room for the cocktails,Jason stood in front of the door locked and refused

Came here to see some jazz for the jazz festival - at the Gatsby lounge/bar. The music was amazing!!!! But the service was horrendous. Super rude waiter, almost no service. The waiter yelled at other waiters at the bar in front of costumers - were rude to the band which were the reason why there was any business in the establishment. Flavors in the drinks were lackluster and smothered in sugar. Beers were $9 for your run-of-the mill beer. Next time I will consider just listening to the music and not order anything. It's a nice room for music - just wish they could manage it better and make

I love The Arms. A magnificent building with an extremely mediocre bar. The night I went was cold so the room was barren except for a few brave souls and the pianist and flutist. The bartender lacked the experience necessary to effortlessly create amazing cocktails at astronomical prices. Instead of bar nuts I got about 5 wasabi peas. My cocktail was made with Real Lemon juice instead of real lemons. The room is poorly designed as the backs of the musicians were to the bar. When you decide to go into hospitality you must make the conscious effort to "sweat the small stuff". This place

Went yesterday for their Christmas Brunch. It was the worst dining experience of my life. The manager/owner was being condescending, loud and very rude to the hostess while we were waiting to be seated.

The brunch included mimosa's / which were room temperature. I asked 3 different waiters for ice and only received it near the end of our awful meal.

The food was terrible. Everything looked as if it had been sitting out for hours. It was supposed to have turkey and instead had a disgusting looking turkey roll. The roast beef was dry and the gravy was cold. Everything was completely unappetizing

Congratulations - you've officially ruined Christmas. I am outrageously disappointed why someone would make you pay $85 and serve you such terrible food. Is this a joke? Nothing was ready. There was no food, quality was poor, stale, not fresh, wilting, drying out. Not even a real turkey. Food was cold. Pasta was raw. Dessert was lackluster. This was simply embarassing. Do we really have to pay? I wouldn't even pay $20 for this nonsense. STAY AWAY. You should be ashamed of yourself for ruining this establishment.

The Windsor Arms is a beautiful boutique style hotel in the heart of Toronto. It is next to The designer shops on Bloor street and Yorkville.
Girls day out ending at The Windsor Arms for high tea. We were seated in a quaint room wearing fascinators in our hair. We brought our own, but you could rent various hair accessories for the occasion. The menu was given so we could select from the various teas. Once our tea was served in individual pots our various scones and sandwiches were served on a three tiered stand. The top tray had bite size cakes. Scones were served with jams and clotted cream

My workplace had a gorgeous company dinner. We had 125 guests and dined in the main dining room. What a fantastic experience, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We had a prixe fixed menu and I had the Beef Short Rib.
Everything was great, I love the service and the decor makes you feel like you are dining with Great Gatsby! Honestly if your company can afford to have a large event at this hotel then I would suggest you do it! It was a lovely night and everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Sunday brunch. We'll, 15 years ago, it was great..... But not any more.

The food was beyond dreadful. No seasoning, no herbs, not even salt and pepper!

The salads, the seafood, nothing was seasoned. The so-called potato salad was cooked potatoes, skin on, and no dressing or seasoning of ANY kind. The whole salmon was good. The cooked shrimp were ok.... Hard to screw that up.

The eggs Benedict you have to order. You wait half an hour.... And you get an uncooked egg. You order again, wait 45 minutes, it's hard boiled.

The couple beside me had the same experience, they

I came here once for high tea and was really disappointed. The high tea for someone with food intolerances was no where close to as good as the one for people without food intolerances. I received very little food was still hungry after. My gluten and dairy free high tea was not worth the $75 I paid after tax and tip (I did get a glass of prosecco). I would give the high tea experience one star.

On a high note, I attended a private event at the Windsor and the atmosphere was really great. The ambiance was really nice and all of the guests seemed to have had a good time. One friend and I asked

I really love the Windsor arms. I love the tea room. They have a great brunch. It is on the pricey side. The ambience is my favourite part. It's such a beautiful spot. One thing that isn't so great is the service and staff. I have been frustrated more than a few times. For the prices the service should be impeccable.
