Poor quality room, staff tried to help but management tied their hands. Windows in our room didn’t close, not did the secondary glazing. Venue down road owned by hotel owners played loud music til 2.30am every night. No apology, no help, we left the hote half way through our stay. Not at all suitable if you have children. They also sell their rooms for greater capacity than they actually have beds for and then on check in try to charge more for additional beds! Have reported the overselling to booking channels involved.

I’m not sure how to review this place. My parents and I stayed in Apartment 75a. It had a lot of potential, being a large space with two bathrooms and bedrooms, decent sized kitchen, and large open living space. Where it starts to go downhill is things like the state of the carpets. Lots of large black stains in all rooms as well as a rather unfortunate stain at the top of the stairs next to the elevator. The couch and chairs also looked very worn and stained. The bathrooms were nice, but the hot water tap for the upstairs bathtub was broken. As well, there were just too many little things like

What a lovely hotel! It's listed as an historic hotel in Ireland. Wonderful staff, lovely accommodations, a delicious breakfast, and within walking distance to many highlights within Dublin. We plan on staying here again on a future visit. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed in August 2019. Other than the courteous staff there is not much I can compliment the hotel for. For starters our room was never serviced (something you would expect in an AirBnB not a pricey hotel). No compensation was offered for this and I later learned that we paid more for a room without breakfast than other people paid for a room with breakfast. None of this seemed to trouble or concern them at checkout either. A historic hotel should be there for its history, not for disfunction. Pity.

If you like sleeping, don't stay at this hotel. Cars honking and music blasting from the night club across the street literally all night. Not to mention, no air conditioning in the stuffy rooms so there is no choice but to attempt to sleep with the windows open.

First: Go in expecting to wear earplugs to sleep. Especially if you stay a Friday or Saturday night. Luckily if you arrive unprepared, they provide earplugs in the side drawer near the bed. The club across the street is loud. You can hear the music every time the door opens, and there are people milling about outside. But you can tell the hotel has really tried its best to adjust. There were two layers of windows in our room, but the earplugs were still required.

Otherwise it's really a sweet little hotel. It's a bit old, and some parts of the public stairwell area seemed a little worn

This is a lovely Georgian hotel in a good location for tourism. The rooms are quaint, clean, comfortable, and well staffed. The room I stayed in had paper thin walls in terms of sound and also faced the street; late nighters, trams, street cleaners, staff, and other guests were quite easily heard throughout out the day and night. However, I really did enjoy my stay and would stay again.

Super cute hotel to stay at! Traveled from the states to Dublin for 3 days and got an awesome deal on this hotel, the staff were so nice and every time we left the hotel they held onto our key (which is even more awesome) the bathroom and room was very clean, has an awesome view of the street. The breakfast was delicious as well, awesome plus. The only complaint is how loud it gets at night- if you are right in the street you will not get much of any sleep if you don’t have ear plugs! Otherwise super cute and definitely would recommend :-)

This is a difficult one. On one hand, you can't beat the location, the hotel is small but lovely, it's very clean, the breakfast is very good and the staff are truly fantastic. And I got a very good price.

On the other hand, like many others mentioned, there are several nightclubs across the street that go until nearly 5 AM. you'll hear the music and drunks yelling in the wee hours if you have the window open. When the nightclub finally closes -- you'll then hear bells clanging for stops by Dublin's intercity train. It runs right past the hotel.

Bottom line: If

Rooms at the back are NOT quieter than rooms in the front. I'm at the back now, and after having listened to a concert until well past 10pm on the Green directly adjacent the bar noise, which was equally loud, lasted until 4am. It was much the same last night. We've shut the windows to it, only to make our sauna-like room even hotter, I fear. And I don't think it even hit 70 today.

On our arrival, there were broken floor tiles in the toilet, and one of the lamps by the bed didn't work. We let reception know, and they repaired the lamp and put duct tape all over the bathroom

Good hotel in great location. Rooms well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bed comfortable. We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights and had no problems with noise. Our room was at the back of the hotel. Would surely recommend this hotel

Excellent location, rooms are great, bed was comfy, and there a CEILING FAN! In a country where very few places have air conditioning this was a blessing. The parking situation isn't great, and it is a bit noisy being next to a tram line, but I normally sleep with the TV on anyways, so this wasn't a bother. If you are sound or light sensitive this hotel is not for you

The rooms here do not disappoint. They are HUGE. Quick check-in, room was clean, and my favorite feature is the door tag that says "room free for servicing" because of course you should be in charge of that time table. The down side is a bit of squeak throughout the building that is ever present, and the "vibrant" night life that you will hear until the bars close, but the quality of the furnishings and the room size really make this place a best case scenario at this price point.

Location is great, but that's all they've got going for them. The street is very loud with many pubs and our room's only window was facing this street. They don't have a hair dryer in the room, you need to borrow one from the front desk when you want to use it, which is unbelievably annoying. The light switches in the room are all connected so you can't keep the ceiling fan on with the light off, or the bathroom light off with the room light on. You get the point, totally annoying. The staff are pleasant though.

Harrington Hall had a good offer for one specific night that I needed a hotel. I looked at its pictures and thought well, that will do.
Booked - saved money - arrived.
The receptionist was very polite and brought my suitcase to my room since I had to leave quickly and check in later.
When I got back in the afternoon, I was told my room is downstairs.

In Germany buildings are different.. Hotels never offer rooms below ground floor (as far as I know). Anyways I went downstairs and was surprised how big the room and windows were.
Still I didn't like the vibe down there- but that might

We stayed here twice in different rooms. The first room was beautifully decorated and comfortable and spacious, but the noise of the club nearby made it very difficult to sleep soundly. :-/ The second room we stayed in was in the basement level -- only one smallish window, not as spacious or beautiful as the first, but worth it because it was pretty quiet (a train does go by periodically, but the sound of it was muffled enough that it didn't wake us). The full Irish breakfast was okay but not overwhelmingly good. Overall this place was clean and decent for the price, but bring ear plugs unless

Harrington Hall is just step away from St Stephen's Green. And as they say, location, location, location.

As I wrote in my Tip, when you make a reservation here, or when are checking in, always ask for a room in the rear. The windows do block most of the street noise in front, but the trams(photo) starts at 5 am and there's always someone singing a tune at 2 am (there are two Clubs directly across the street).

The front desk and housekeeping both freely dispense ear plugs if you are interested. But with that shortcoming aside, this is a grand place to stay.

Harrington Hall is beautiful.

At a staggeringly good price of fifty euro on the hotels tonight app, we were welcomed in a friendly enough, albeit not very enthusiastic, manner, and directed to our room.

First impressions; it was HUGE. The furniture was old and though simple, decadent. Dark wood and high ceilings with two chairs by two windows on which to drink your tea and speak to one another in old, English, aristocratic accents.

The whole place was very clean and though on harcourt street; deafeningly quiet; we ha a room at the top and the back so perhaps that's why.

The only negatives

This hotel is situated on Hracourt street so perfect for the city centre and st Stephens park.
The public rooms are lovely, full of character etc and its very homely. However the bedrooms are a little tired although very clean.
The hotel is very noisy as its on the main street with nightclubs along the road and be prepared to be woken at 3am when the nightclubs empty. the night i stayed it was very noisy and taxis were queued on the street making a lot of noise for a good 90 mins. Also a soon as the tram starts agan you can hear the bell etc. Not a restful night at all.

Harrington Hall is one of my favourite hotels in Dublin. It is an impressive small townhouse that offers Georgian elegance and a really warm welcome and personal touch.

It is sumptuous and rich and decadent in decor and furnishings and lighting. Check out the heavy drapes and crystal chandeliers all framed by the original and beautifully restored Georgian features!

The bedrooms are lovely but they are not modern or chic or have any of those clean lines that lots of new hotels boast of but that is what makes this hotel so wonderful and different!

The breakfast here is simply fabulous and you

A nice guest house tucked in behind St Stephen's green, in a beautifully renovated Georgian style. Rooms are modern and quiet, breakfast was delicious. The best part--free parking in the rear of the guest house, but it is first come first serve!
