The Broadview Hotel is an absolute TREAT! I came to stay here with my partner and my cat after we moved out of my apartment and were waiting to move in to my new one. There was no issue with having a pet, which was a huge relief.
But onto the good stuff. The room, the decor, the design, the murals in the stairwell, the water stations… it’s all perfect and impeccably thought out. The restaurant (the CIVIC) is MARVELLOUS, delicious food and the bartender made us killer drinks. The front desk staff (Bethany in particular) were incredibly helpful and kind, and made our stay even better.
THANK

We had our wedding at the Broadview Hotel and had many issues. I've provided 2 stars because the food was good, and hotel is beautiful. However:
- We arrived at the hotel at 2pm to setup, didn't have ceremony until 5. At 5, when music turns on for wedding party to walk out, we're intercepted by security asking for vaccine passports. I'm for passports, but they couldnt have asked between the 3hrs we were there before? So right away, Broadview put our wedding off schedule as the music had to stop and we return to our rooms to find wallets and cell phones.
- Broadview Hotel missed Allergy alerts

My wife and I stayed an evening in the hotel, along with reservations of the rooftop patio restaurant for our one year anniversary.
The rooftop is consistently good - we have brought out-of-towners (pre-pandemic) to enjoy the view, food and mixed drinks. It is always a lively time.
The hotel portion, however, was rather disappointing. The hotel rooms are kitted-out with a vinyl players with which you can select various records to enjoy in your room. The problem is that the room soundproofing is lacking - during the afternoon, the loud banging of neighbouring suite doors, along with the loud noise

Cozy, warm and the bed was very comfortable.. The staff was very friendly. I did order room service, and that’s where I was disappointed. It arrived fast, with very friendly staff.. The appetizer was amazing and then the main dish… I’m not sure if there was something bad in it, but the smell alone put me off. Too bad… The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, was amazing.

Truly an exceptional experience staying in one of their rooms. Modern and beautiful rooms, where I was able to play old vinyl records and enjoy a quiet night stay. The service from the Front desk to the culinary experience on the rooftop was impeccable.
If you’re ever looking at getting away and having a vacation within the city for a night or two try this hotel and let them know I sent you! If you get the opportunity tell the chef to pick and create something for you as I did!

I stayed at the Broadview for a long trip to Toronto and they truly made it feel like a home away from home! I had a lovely suite with one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Everyone at the front desk was incredibly friendly, calling me by name and wishing me well on my way in or out. The restaurant downstairs has very yummy breakfast at a great price + the rooftop bar is absolutely darling. There is a bus stop right out front and a streetcar across the street so getting around is super easy. It's also in a great walkable neighborhood with lots of coffee, bars, restaurants and shops nearby

Wonderful views with the rooftop patio and tempting to award a higher rating because of it. However, the food was just okay. I shared the Korean bulgogi lettuce wraps. The taste (as best as I know) was fairly authentic with the garnishes and sauce. I can even accept the beef being more of a steak for a fusion aspect, but the steak itself was fairly average in quality so there was nothing added by doing it differently.
It's still tempting to give a higher review however as they deserve credit for their ambience, but since the high prices (drinks and food) are worked into that, it's hard

I heard this place was a great patio spot through TikTok and... it didn't disappoint per se but I left feeling very meh.
For starters, the venue is pretty nice, a great place to take pictures, and depending on where you sit you could get a nice view of the city but that's only if you sit on the southeast end of the patio. They've got cute lights strung up around so it looks cozy at night.
In terms of food, there isn't really anything special. They seem to have a lot of Asian-themed food and drinks, but as an Asian myself it just seems like a really westernized version of Asian

I came here for a company holiday dinner and I must say the staff here are very friendly. The appetizers they walk around with during cocktail hour were delicious. The short rib entree I got was also very good. It was extremely tender and flavourful, and they gave 2 decently sized pieces too! However, the starter salad was very small and bland (description on the menu was misleading), and the dessert was way too sweet and thick to enjoy. I wish they gave us a second option for dessert. It was an open bar and they definitely do not skimp out on the amount of alcohol they put in your drinks (all

Came here at the end of summer to enjoy the gorgeous views from the rooftop patio! Certainly in that respect, it did not disappoint! Catching the sunset here is simply one of life's small delights.
The rooftoop patio is surprisingly large - there is both a covered section and an outdoor section. We were seated in the covered (indoor) section.
We came here for a few drinks (a little overpriced, but it's a hotel and to be expected) and the view, so can't really comment on the food. Our server was just lovely though - we asked if she could take a picture and she happily

Went here for my boyfriends birthday dinner last night. We waited almost have an hour for drinks, and an hour for food. My Duck was cold and another friend of ours who ordered Lamb, the meat smelled like it was about to go off. We both sent them back. My dish returns and it’s been very obvious that the plate was microwaved and my food was still… cold. I sent it back again. Our guest ordered another meal but was too nervous to eat it. We asked to speak to the manager (at this point very angry) and we were told he wasn’t available. And we had to wait another few minutes to speak

Over the holidays I went to the Broadview Hotel for lunch. Main floor. It was my first time there and I had heard great things. It was a disappointing experience mainly because of the behaviour of the Hostess who seemed to think as I was a single female on my own she could stuff me in the back where there was no view (claiming everything was… booked). There were tables at the front empty and all remained empty the whole time I was there. If you don't know how to treat people you shouldn't be in the hospitality industry. I had a burger, they had no gluten free buns which most restaurants

"This is like one of those typical Toronto roof tops that everyone will like! Don't come here if you're super hungry though unless you're ballin'"
What time we arrived/Wait time?
We made a reservation for 6pm on a Wednesday. There were a lot of tables available but it seemed like half the restaurant was full and continuing to get fuller.
Atmosphere?
It is absolutely beautiful here! Love the simple decor and how there is windows all around. It is a brightly lit place, but I could see how when it is super sunny that some people would not like to be sitting by the windows

Had heard this was a place worth checking out by several friends so I finally did on Saturday. Came here for dinner with two girlfriends, planning to spend the evening there.
Atmosphere - The place was busy but not overly full apart from the outside patio - this was around 8pm, it started to pick up around 9. We were seated in a comfy couch area. The downside, we felt so far from one another and the music was so loud, we had to stay leaned in to hear or speak to one another. One recommendation would be to keep the music at a level where those having dinner can still hold a conversation and crank

Had dinner at the rooftop last week, solid 3 star experience! Food is all tapas-style and portions were generally pretty good. We tried the beet salad, fried chicken, beef short ribs, and empanadas. I really liked the empanadas and fried chicken (and loved the presentation in little cast iron skillets). The other dishes were just average.
Service was good and prices were decent. Interior is really nice, floor to ceiling windows with lots of plants and greenery. Plus, nice furniture and some cool design features. I'd suggest getting there around sunset, you'll catch a beautiful view
