Oro Medonte Veterinary Services is proud to serve the Hawkestone ON area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Karla Scott, who is a licensed, experienced Hawkestone veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr Karla is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College. Since 1998 she has been providing veterinary services to pets in the Barrie and Orillia area. Growing up on a farm in Grey County, Dr Karla knew at a young age that animals would be a huge part of her life. Experience gained through competitive horse back riding over the years lead Dr Karla to pursue post graduate training in Animal Chiropractics and Canine Rehabilitation Therapy.
We offer a wide range of services. Our staff are under continual training to keep abreast on new healthcare procedures, protocols and equipment use. Our services are supported by our computer system involving peripheral devices ensuring your pet's healthcare is analyzed and monitored without compromise.

Had a great experience with Oro-Medonte Vet Services for our kitten! Dr.Scott and her staff were always polite and took amazing care of her for her vaccines and spay. We did the kitten package for these services which was such a good price for what was included! Would recommend to anyone in the Barrie/Orillia area!!

Biggest gripe is the deep mud pit of a parking lot. Expect dirty paws and shoes, with much mud tracked into your vehicle and home, especially in spring or after rain. I've brought it up to them more than once, but only received a chuckle in response, showing a lack of pride of ownership in their business. At the rates vets charge, surely they can afford a load of gravel.

Dr. Karla and the ladies at the office are absolutely outstanding. They truly care so much for my dog, and all the animals their as if they were their own. I feel they go above and beyond at every visit and I really can’t say enough good things about these ladies. I tell everyone to bring their pets here, Dr. Karla is amazing. Thank you we are so happy to have made the switch. 🤗

We started using Carla's services when we moved up here. Through thick and thin the vet and her staff have been there, making house calls, taking last minute appointments and being a shoulder to cry on when things went south. I love their house cats who wander the halls and I like that they now have an on-line store where I can order the pet supplies ahead. Would I recommend these guys? In a New York minute.

Hi! We are the Maxey's family of 10. Myself my better half and are 8 fur babies. We were in Saturday 27th for their rabies vaccination as were many other fur babies. We started at 10 am and with 3 trips to and from we were all done by noon. I would like to thank the staff and Dr. Vet for their outstanding care and understanding towards my fur babies.

I love the location as well as the staff. The staff are very empathetic to your pets needs and do their best to help out until we can get in to see Dr. Karla. The care the pets receive is awesome. My 1 dog had surgery a few weeks ago. She was in for a day for the surgery and home that night, no complications or problems. Great service.

When we moved out to Oro we always had to take our aminals into Barrie to be looked at. When we found out that the Oro Vet was just down the road, we changed our vet. We have never had such a welcoming. Oro Vet… is the best vet that we have gone to. they are understanding and are always willing to work with you and the staff if fantastic.

I've had many pets over the years- always switching up vets. I've never came across one who are so caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. Jase absolutely loves going there, he doesn't even want to say goodbye when I drop him off! They are always there to answer any questions I have and are extremely accommodating. Dr.Scott and her staff are the… friendliest staff I've ever met. It's a pleasure always going & leaving. They've helped us out so much in the short time we have been going there. Dr Scott and her staff are absolutely amazing! Dr Karla is extremely caring, compassionate and an overall wonderful vet. It's so nice to meet a veterinarian that cares more about helping your animal than hitting your pocket book! I would most definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to love your pet as much as you do!
