Formerly part of Cityview Rental Services, we continue to offer quality service specializing in all sizes of properties - large or small.
Here is information that effects all tenants in all properties. All tenants have rights and responsibilities. Among these you have the right to quiet enjoyment of your rental space. If your apartment includes heat then you have the right to expect that it will be working at the legally required temperature during the cold months.
If you come to the office and pay cash every month then you will be issued a receipt each time. If you pay via cheque then you can request a receipt for tax purposes at the beginning of each year. Please give us a few days to process your request. Rent is due on the first day of the month. If you haven't paid within a few days, you may receive a Notice of non payment of rent (N4).

Managed to lose only one of the four cheques I gave them while staying at one of their locations for the summer. They initiated communications regarding their mix up with a eviction notice. They proceeded to treat me poorly when I tried to ensure they've looked around for it before cancelling the old cheque and issuing a new one. They would talk over me before I could complete my questions. They refused to treat me like a person and preferred to repeatedly and aggressively shout at me for a new cheque rather than answer my questions and help me understand the mishap.

I have been a resident in a Bytown Property building for a few months now and I've been really impressed with the promptness of replies and how quickly they fix any issue with my apartment. Valerie is extremely nice and wonderful to deal with, and responds to all inquiries within 24 hours or less with solutions. When I first moved in I also requested a few things to be changed and they were without any hesitation. Highly recommend renting from Bytown as long as Valerie and Bill are around!
