At Optimum Eye Care, our focus is on preventative health. We offer comprehensive eye exams for all ages using the most up to date technology. We are able to detect and manage various eye conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and many more. We are equipped with retinal imaging, OCT scanning and a visual fields machine that help aid in our diagnosis and management.
Contact lenses are a great alternative to wearing eye glasses. If you are interested in contacts, our doctors can assist you in ensuring you are wearing the most suitable lenses for your eyes and your needs. Our team of trained staff will assist you in how to safely insert and remove the lenses and ensure that you understand how to care for the contact lenses.
Our doctors are available for walk-in ocular emergencies. They are equipped with the tools to properly diagnose eye acute conditions and decide the best course of action for treatment. We offer emergency eye care services that require immediate and urgent eye care. A sudden injury not only causes pain, but can have some pretty serious complications to your health.
Dry eyes are one of the most common findings we encounter in an eye exam. If you experience symptoms of burning, itchy eyes or blurred vision you could have dry eyes. Even watery eyes can be a symptom of dry eyes. Dry eye occurs when our eyes are unable to produce enough tears or the quality of our tear film is reduced.

I had an eye examination with Dr.Verdi and I was extremely satisfied with her service. She was able to answer all my questions in a technical aspect and then followed up with an explanation that would help me understand. This was my first time visiting Dr.Verdi and she was definitely the best optometrist I’ve ever visited. As I work from Monday to Friday, she made the appointments fit my schedule and it was very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Dr.Verdi to anyone who is looking for a highly knowledgeable and patient optometrist.

I can't say enough about the friendly staff, it started with the initial phone call. How nice it is to talk to someone that pays attention. Dr Verdi was outstanding, caring and went out of her way to make sure I was looked after.

Just got hooked up with a sweet pair of Hugo Boss Sunglasses from Mike at Optimum Eye Care. Got the glasses I wanted fast and easy. I went to 3-4 other eyeglass shops and couldn’t find the right ones. Mike asked me a couple questions and geared me to the right pair for me. Highly recommend them in Richmond.... worth the 45 minute commute for me.... good service and quality is always worth the drive.

I was recommended by a co-worker to come see an optometrist here at Optimum eye care. Dr.Verdi took good care of my eye exam, she was knowledgeable and patient. She knew what was the problem, I came in the clinic with a sore left eye and came out with a smile. The other ladies at the eye center are very helpful too.😊

Best Optometrist ever!! Dr.Gill is super thorough and you never feel rushed like I have at other places. They have an awesome selection of glasses as well as contacts. He has the newest acuvue contacts with UV blocking and 1 month replacement, which is perfect for me as I really like the 1 month wear lenses. Highly recommend seeing him!

A very friendly eye care establishment. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable of their industry. They have good set processes which allow you to compete your visit efficiently. They can process your insurance provider on the spot. They have a reasonable selection of glasses and eye wear but can order more.
They have bookable appointments for the optometrist. They allow walk-ins as well.
Parking is available from the strip mall and they are on a bus route. There is a bike reach at the strip mall.
