Services
Recyclistas beginnings coincided with a growing community bicycle movement in North America that drew inspiration from the international Bikes Not Bombs organization. Bikes Not Bombs was originally dedicated to providing sustainable, human-powered transportation to communities in developing countries by setting up in those countries local community bicycle maintenance spaces and training local bike mechanics.

Take the Galloping Goose to the switch bridge. We are at the base of the north side of the bridge where the Goose splits off to the Lochside Trail. We are near Uptown Mall along the Galloping Goose. When you get off the bus, walk to the North End of Uptown Mall (closest to Ravine Way). Cross the street to get to the Galloping Goose.
At Recyclistas, we have a wide selection of refurbished bikes available for sale. Most of our used bikes perfect for riding around town or on the Galloping Goose and Lochside Trails. Along with many hybrids, cruisers and road bikes, we also have mountain bikes, single speeds, fixies, kids bikes, bmx, trailers, trail-a-bikes and more.
Recyclistas is fully stocked with just about any NEW part you need to repair almost any bike. We also have an extensive collection of inexpensive USED parts that you are welcome to come by and poke through. Our shop environment is mostly self serve when searching for used parts. If you need help finding something we can point you in the right direction.

Have been making money from crypto and i'm enjoying every bit of my gains and profit this new year. Initially i started with a deposit of USD2000 which i watched grow into USD26,700 in 9days. This place is so awesome, I almost feel like I should keep it a secret so I can have it for myself! I brought my 1986 Miele mountain bike with me to a workshop so I could learn to fix it myself. I made a list of what I wanted to learn (and do if we had time), and I thoroughly cleaned my bike beforehand. The prep and focus was worthwhile (I got through my entire list). Shane worked with me and another participant, and he is a really great teacher. He told me how to do a task, demonstrated if needed, and then had me do it. I learned well from this teaching technique. I especially appreciated that

Noticed a slow leak in my bike tire/tube, and just when it was getting bad–on my way home–I stopped by the shop. Super lucky it was quiet this evening, and I was seen to right away. Failure on my part not to get his name, but not only was my tube changed and my gear tension adjusted (it felt great on the ride home!), he found the tiiiny piece of metal and removed it from the tire. I am super relieved to have that sorted. Thank you so much for the help!! Will be visiting Recyclistas again for some overall maintenance ASAP :) I trust my bike with these fine folks!

I took my bike in because the wheels were both a little bent, with the rear being much worse. It also needed a tune-up.
I took it to Recyclistas in spite of it being a long ways away (and tough to get to without my bike) because of good past experiences and their strong reputation.
I was told by the staff that the front wheel didn't need work and the rear one could probably be trued rather than replaced. I received a call the next day indicating that the work was complete and I could pick my bike up any time.
When I arrived, the work item on the bill to fix the wheel was crossed out with a note

Untill today; I always thought Recyclistas was a pretty handy shop for DIY bike repairers like me. I stopped by to hand them a part that I couldn't use and purchased a derailleur cable for another person. Then I phoned this person to inform him of the part he missed. He informed me that he just bought one somewhere else ! I sought to return my… purchase but : ''Sorry,we don't accept returns !'' What kind of business is this ?? I didn't even leave the premises with that cable part ! They couldn't even do any exception because '' there wouldn't be any rules otherwise''. Personally, I was not

The Recyclistas staff here were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! They helped us find a used bike that suited our wants and needs. They were patient with all our novice questions and made sure we found the perfect fit. We look forward to finding bike number two through them and using them for all our future repair and tune-up needs. Highly recommend them!

Stopped by today while I was on a ride on the Goose. I had a dangerously low tire and was just looking for some air. Walked up to the door and saw a sign that said "Only on customer at a time". Opened the door, saw no one inside so stepped in. Called around for someone, no one answered. Opened the door to go out and a woman was right on the… other side. Very rudely said "Um - we are closed." I apologized, as I definitely didn't realize. Explained I was looking to a pump. She said "Yeah, can't help, we're closed." Despite the fact there was a pump right beside me. Looked on my way out and

I had my bike that I bought a few years ago from Recyclistas fixed up and overhauled. I love my new and improved bike! It rides like a dream. I never overtake people and literally whizzed by people on the goose after they fixed it. Hills are so easy to ride up now! Thank you! "Recyclistas" provide great service; they know what they are doing and are ready to help you if you are in need. We went for a 40 km bike ride from Schwartz Bay to Victoria during Canada day long weekend. It was Sunday afternoon when we were approaching Victoria when my husband's bike suddenly broke. The rear wheel basically separated from the… frame. Pretty bad. We thought we are done for the day but still checked if there are any bike repair shops open on Sunday afternoon during long weekend. Absolutely fantastic service. Jordan and Steve in particular have been integral to my cycling journey more times than I can count. I've worked on several different bikes under their guidance in the store, had them do some excellent work for me that was more complex, and have nothing but brilliant things to say. I can't recommend them highly enough for their straight-up kindness, competitive pricing, and the fantastic things they do for the community and the environment recycling so many parts and components.
