So grateful I bought my bike here. I did not realize when I picked it up that a fitting was included. Two months later Mike, the one
Who does the fittings saw me riding on the galloping goose and asked me how the bike was doing. We got chatting for quite a while about the bike as we rode along and he suggested I come in for the complementary fitting. VERY good move on my part. Mike made a number of adjustments to my setup that made a BIG difference to my riding comfort and my power. Even improved the comfort for my little pooch Who rides in my front basket. Just above and beyond customer service

Absolute best bike shop I've ever been to! No pressure sales, honest advice when asked, and really knowledgable staff and mechanics. I bought a Cannondale Quick 3, and spent $1000, plus an extra few hundred on extra equipment. The staff did not treat the sale as if it was a small or insignificant purchase. Most of their bikes are way above that range, and a thousand is a lot of money for me, and they respected that. Very cool in my books.
With the new bike purchase I got a free professional fitting, and I've never never been happier. Finding a bike that was the right size is super important for

I recently relocated to Victoria from Ontario, prior to my move, I bought a new road bike and had it shipped to Victoria so I had not had an opportunity to ride it before arriving here. Immediately, I felt some issues with my derailleur and gears and popped into the shop. I anticipated leaving my bike there and walking home, but they were kind enough to take a look at it while I waited and tune it up enough to safely ride home. I really appreciate this kindness, and will be back for a full service tune up.

Fort Street Cycle is quite simply the best bike shop in Victoria. I've been a customer for years, but also have shopped periodically at almost all of the other local bike shops looking for specific items that perhaps Fort St didn't carry. I rarely get the high level, and certainly not the consistency, of exceptional customer service from anywhere else. Arin and Russ are standouts, but all of the staff are great. If you're on the fence about buying a bike and where to get it from, know that this shop will have your back for years!

Kind, Knowledgeable and Professional!!
I got my bike fitted by Mike at Fort Cycle and I was very pleased with the service he provided. My body was very out of aligned due to a previous injury. Mike worked with me for almost two hours to make sure that my body was well supported for a long rides. He explained each process throughly and gave me tips to make adjustments on my own.
I went to Fort Street Cycle because I won a fitting at a silent auction event that they contributed too!! (another reason why they are soo great) I did not realize how important it was to get your bike fitted until I noticed

On vacation and I had a small issue that required some tools/time from the guys at a shop. I called a few other places and they declined the work. Dan at Fort Street was awesome on the phone and even better in person. He fixed all issues on the spot and even made time to true my wheel. Hands down the friendliest and most helpful shop - thanks guys!

I have purchased nothing from Fort Street Cycle, so on that, I remain uneducated. However, if the hospitality of the staff and their magnanimous willingness to come to the aid of a dad with a flat-tired BOB is any testament to the quality of this establishment, then I would certainly pedal your business here as quickly as humanly possible.

Took my old Nishiki-style road bike in for an inner-tube replacement recently and the repairman, Bruce, took the effort to replace the twist-caps on my tires and checked the breaks for no charge.
My bicycle was ready for the season in under 10 minutes for under $10. I am a happy customer that will return.

Not ecstatically happy with my entire experience of Fort Street Cycle (FSC).
In March of 2016 I went into the shop disappointed that another local shop could not acquire the bike I was I interested in. However they were willing to build me the bike I wanted. I decided to give FSC a shot. The bike mechanic, Russ, was very knowledgeable and helpful in setting me up with a Cannondale CAADX Rival 22 with some modifications to accomodate my needs as a cyclist. I decided to purchase the modified CAADX. However when I returned to pick up the bike after purchasing it outright I was informed that the stock

I bought my first serious road bike here and I had a terrible experience with the owner and the mechanical staff. The carbon frame they sold me was cracked from the point of sale and when I tried to show them the crack, once it had been discovered by another shop, the front of house staff tried everything they could to not look at it. Then they charged me for a replacement warranty frame which I disputed heavily because of the amount I had spent already on what was supposed to be a new bike. They then replaced the original frame with another in house frame. A couple weeks later I had a near fatal

Last night I was making my way up Fort street with a flat tire on my Little guys BOB stroller and was loaded down with groceries. Even though it was past closing, the staff that were locking up came to the… rescue and inflated the tire for us. My little guy didn't even wake up. I really appreciate that they went out of their way to help.

Honestly the most amazing bike shop experience I have ever had.
I took my dad here to look for a bike to replace his cheapy Walmart special that sucks and was not the right design for what he needed it for. My boyfriend came along to help out.
My dad has Alzheimer's. I won't go into all the details about how awful this disease is, but I will say that it has affected my dad in ways I never thought possible. He has a lot of trouble with fine motor skills, and his vision has been altered, much like looking through water. Learning new tasks is hard, if not impossible. And confusion
