Hansel and Gretel Bakery is a Maple Ridge business with a lot passion! Our head pastry chef and owner, Claudia Storer, has over 20 years of experience working in restaurants, bakeries, markets and hotels, and learned the pastry trade from some of the best chefs Vancouver has to offer. Her dream to own her own shop where she could make high quality, tasty artisan treats according to her own standards came true in 2015.

Bringing your fairytale dreams to life is our specialty! We are pleased to offer a wide variety of personalized cakes and pastries for all occasions and would love to help make your big event even more special with a customized order - please place order at least 7 days in advance. A basic 9 sponge cake with buttercream icing covered in fondant/marzipan and decorated in a theme of your choosing starts at $75.

I picked up a cake a week ago for a birthday celebration. I was thoroughly disappointed with my overall experience. On the initial call the week prior I had ordered a strawberry and lemon inspired cake for 10-15 people. When I arrived on the saturday to pick it up I had to wait as it was clearly not ready. 15 minutes or so later when I finally got the cake to my surprise it was completely coated in almonds. Not once in their initial call did they mention almond coating on strawberry shortcake which should be an obvious comment or question considering allergies. Everyone was shocked that a strawberry

I have been going to this bakery since it opened and have tried many of their baked goods and have thoroughly enjoyed most of them. I have ordered several of their cakes for special events and every single one of them was exceptional (taste and presentation)! Their black forest cake is by far the best I've ever had!

We had a fantastic experience with Hansel and Gretel Bakery, all the way from Australia. Hansel and Gretel bakery created special dinosaur themed cupcakes for our nephews birthday and delivered them directly to him. The cakes were fantastic and the customer service was 10/10. Would recommend to anybody! Thank you again!

Best bakery in the LML. All our guests were so impressed with the cake and dessert. We had a professional chef who works for a luxury hotel in attendance and who doesn’t have a sweet tooth, but he was pleasantly surprised with the texture of the cakes, the taste, and how delicious the desserts turned out. There was nothing left of our wedding cake and desserts. Thank you, Claudia. You’re such an awesome pastry chef and owner. Hansel and Gretel is definitely our go to bakery and confectionery.

We ordered our wedding cake from Hansel and Gretel and were so beyond happy with it and the whole experience! The cake was absolutely delicious and decorated exactly as we wanted. We had requested quotes from quite a few bakeries and were surprised that Hansel and Gretel was very reasonably priced considering their great reputation and quality. We were blown away by the customer service, and all of our guests were blown away by the taste and presentation.

Went to Hansel and Gretel Bakery before on a trip to Cliff Falls. We loved it so had to come again. Very friendly service.
Last time we thought the muffins, although they looked sweet with the glaze, were actually not overly sweet. This trip we got two chocolate cupcakes and two muffins (Strawberry Shortcake and Coffee Crumble). Price-wise, I found the cupcakes to be out of line with the other items. Curious as to why so expensive. I didn’t try them but I can say the muffins were delicious and great value. Apart from two savoury options, the rest were sweet.

I received this absouletly, beautiful and delicious chocolate butter cream cake today as a gift. I was quite surprised that it is not sweet like most cakes. The icing is decadent and this cake won't last long that is for sure. I would highly recommend stopping in and checking this bakery out.
