Services
VanCell began repairing phones for corporate clients in 2007 and soon after we expanded into a retail store with walk in repairs. We opened our second location in 2011 on the border of Port Moody / Coquitlam and then sold that location in early 2016. We repair phones for all major companies including Bell, Telus, Rogers, Fido, Wind, Chatr and more.
Upon receiving your electronic device, one of our experienced technicians will conduct a preliminary inspection on your device, and contact you immediately with confirmation of Mail-In Repair Service Request and go over the prices with you. Canada Post costs around $10-$15 to ship a phone (depending on location) which includes a tracking number.
Our Vancouver Phone Store is located on the ground floor of the retail building on the corner of Rupert St. and E 29th Ave. We have free street parking right out front and we are a 10 minute walk from the 29th Ave Skytrain Station or Joyce Station. You can also take the number 27 bus from Joyce station to our store front.
We repair most smartphones available in the market including Apple, LG, Sony, HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Blackberry, Nokia, Huawei and more! I tried repairing my smartphone myself, can I still bring it in for repair or diagnostic?. Yes, no problem, please bring your phone in and we can see what you have and what can be done.
We standby our repairs and will replace or refund your money if the parts we install fail. We only use brand new, original parts from the manufacturer. This ensures all our repairs have the highest quality standards around. We believe if your going to spend money to fix your expensive phone it should be repaired with the same quality parts it came with!

Overall excellence service. I had a water damaged iPhone X that took a swim in a pool. I was able to get it completely working fine after getting a water cleaning at VanCell for $80. They told me that they used a ultrasonic cleaner and have to wait a few days to dry, which is very professional. They cleaned out all the moisture inside and the phone currently functions great. The only downside was that the adhesive wasn’t replaced but it wasn’t too big of a deal. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend this service.

I brought my Asus phone here for repair, and they really did everything they reasonably could to try to fix it, even importing a battery from overseas because it's a somewhat obscure phone. Ultimately it was non-repairable (motherboard failure) and they said "no fix, no pay".
I managed to convince them to at least charge me a nominal fee for their time. As you can see from all the reviews, they do good work, and should say least be rewarded for the time they put in.

I needed a new battery for my iPhone. I was stressing over where to take my phone. I am so pleased I took it to VanCell. What a positive experience. I dropped my phone off ... sorry fella with the accent (forgot to get our name) and 40 minutes later I picked up my phone with a new battery. This was a seamless, stress free experience and my phone was handled with care. I really appreciated the whole experience... so thank you so much.. would definitely recommend.

Very reliable cell phone repair shop. It's a place where you don't need to worry about the level of service and quality of craftsmanship. This is a place that will give you honest answers and do their best to help people. I highly recommend Vancell. I brought my phone in to have them look at it, knowing it was next to impossible to fix. The phone was water damaged because I accidentally splashed water on it. These guys were able to help me turn the phone back on and back up the important data that I had on it. The phone wasn't salvageable due to extensive water damage, but thanks

Just wanted to say thank you for fixing my son's iPhone 6s+ at no charge. What I thought was a damaged charging port from a fall turned out to be junk deep in socket causing the charging cable to fall out. After you cleaned it with compressed air and tweezers to remove junk, save him $85 for a new charging jack. Appreciate your honest workmanship. Least I can do is a great review! o_ 0

I had to replace cracked screen on my iPhone SE. Vancell did that in 30 minutes with no problems and there is absolutely no difference between my current display and the one I used to have before. It costed me 90 dollars before taxes - I could not find a better price anywhere else. Highly recommended.

My charging port broke on my samsung s6, and Jeff was super helpful when I went in. He wasn't pushing me to get it fixed, he let me know that the paint has a chance of chipping (because it is painted gold) and said it was my choice if i still want to go through with it. I like how he informed me of the risks of getting the charging port fixed. I went through with the repair, taking this risk because I would rather just get it fixed than get a new phone (this phone was gifted to me). He told me it would be 3 hours but he finished the repair within 2.5 hours. It is now working perfectly and

The technician examined my phone and said that the LCD was broken, there was also a dent on the metal frame of the phone that she said she would try her best to fix. The screen replacement cost $257.60 including tax. They have a 6 month warranty on the repair (does not include if you crack your screen again!)
I was told the replacement would take 2 hours. Unfortunately, this place was really out of the way for me, but out of all the stores I called, this one had my screen in stock the same

I've used these guys twice in the past, and called in to have my HTC one glass repaired. The person on the phone said it would take a day to repair it. I asked why, she said "it could be that we don't have it in stock, or we're busy, or it takes longer or something".. and I'm like "what???" so I asked to speak to a technician, to try and schedule a time, or get an answer, and she says "I am a technician" - so I asked her why she's so confused as to why it would take so long, and she gets offended - I ended up taking it to another place, that

I was very impressed by VanCell. Took my iPhone to get unlocked and my samsung to be repaired. The iPhone was to be ready in 3 days and it was ready in 3 days! The girl even gave me a courtesy phone for 3 days. (The place I had taken earlier had told me 10 days and it took them 2 weeks to let me know it was not unlocked)
Not only, we're they fast, friendly and efficient, they clearly know what they are dealing with and don't leave you hanging.
About the samsung they had been clear that it might not be repairable and that's what happened. I was glad they were so open and clear

Excellent cellphone repair shop! I emailed them and asked for a quote, they replied back and sent me the free estimate on the cost of having my shattered Nexus 4 front glass display replaced. Phoned in thinking I needed an appointment but the girl on the other line told me that it's not necessary. Went to their shop the next day with my shattered phone, told me it might take two hours to fix...so I came back at exactly two hours and... voila! my phone is fixed like spanking new.

The screen on my blackberry cracked TWICE and each time these guys were able to save the day by replacing the glass. The turn-around time is also quite fast. A little out of the way but it's the only reliable place in town I've heard that can fix a cracked screen. Overall, highly recommended if you happen to have the misfortune of breaking your phone!

I tried calling a few shops around town, Vancell had the parts in stock to fix my phone and gave me a much more reasonable quote. Irene gave me a quick debrief on what they repaired and seemed very knowledgeable about the components. It's also nice that they use OEM parts and have a 6 month warranty.

I was looking to get my old Berry unlocked, and I emailed around my office for recommendations. Two emails came back suggesting VanCell so off I went.
I have to admit, I was a little worried at first. I've been really burned by shady and unprofessional places in past, but I am SO thrilled to report that VanCell is highly professional, respectful and JB/Irene are friendly and COMPETENT! The prices were really reasonable and I was able to park it on one of their plush chairs to relax for a few moments while the work was being done on my phone.
Amazing overall experience, I am glad to give

I could not be happier with the service I received at vancell. After an initial repair which worked for 18 months (three times the warranty period for the repair), my screen failed. After reading my update below, JB contacted me and offered to have a look, for free, despite the expired warranty - as often the cables can come loose, leading to the symptoms I experienced.
I brought it in a while later, and a very pleasant tech, Irene, took a look and determined it wasn't the cables - but then offered to replace the screen on the spot, for free, out of warranty, with no receipt or anything
