At Body Innovations, we pride ourselves on being a holistic educational pilates studio that focuses on the mind and body connection in order to improve your overall health and lifestyle.

What started as a 1 room studio in 2003 has now grown into a facility that offers a complete fitness and lifestyle package to the Guelph community. Body Innovations is an educational studio so we strive to teach our clients the importance of proper movement and the relationship between health and the body.
Services
Melanie has more than 15 years of experience working at the University of Guelph and in the private sector which has allowed her to assist people of all ages and fitness levels. As evidenced by her extensive and wide ranging professional education, Melanie understands that there is no magic bullet to achieve a healthy lifestyle and that a program that works for one person may not work on the next.
With a background in science (B.A. Chemistry, Florida Atlantic University) and medicine (B.S. Medical Technology, The George Washington University), Susan has long recognized the importance of blending science, technology, and holistic healthcare into personal wellness. Susan does not believe in "one size fits all" fitness programs.
Biomechanics can be applied to human movement in two ways: to improve overall performance and to prevent/treat injury. All movement begins and ends with posture. At Body Innovations our intent is to improve posture, strengthen core/back muscles and train proper biomechanics. Imagine a bicycle wheel with one or two spokes out of alignment or missing.
One of the things that distinguishes Body Innovations from other facilities is that our clients develop great friendships with like-minded people. Our Pilates and Lunch Society (PALS) is the social and charitable organization that has developed from these relationships. The PALS have a monthly get together to celebrate birthdays and other happy events.
Throughout the year, classes are offered in 8 to 13 week sessions. Each class is one hour long. Choose a class from the schedule and enrol to reserve your space. This will secure your space in the class on that particular day and time. If you are unable to attend your class, you are welcome to do a make up in any different class.

I was introduced to Sue through one of my business partners who spoke very highly of her. Upon learning of all the things she does, I was intrigued by the idea of some help stretching. I've always known how important stretching is, i just didn't know how to do it properly, so I didn't do it. I can already start to feel the difference a daily stretching routine is making and look forward to each visit where I will learn something new to help me feel better as the years wear on. It's a lot easier to look forward to doing something, when you know you are doing something well and productive. Sue really

Sue Nash is the best! I'm an 80 year old triathlete competing in the World Triathlon Finals in September this year in Rotterdam. Sue with her twice weekly sessions with me, helps me keep my core strong and keeps me stretching to prevent injury. Our goal is the Podium in Rotterdam!

I am a physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience in the Guelph community. Once my patients have reached full recovery, it is important to have them continue with an exercise program that will keep them from re-injuring themselves (or at least prevent them from falling into the same bad habits that we worked hard at correcting). Sue Nash and her team at Body Innovations, are trainers I trust for this critically important post rehabilitation fitness. In addition to referring patients, I have also personally participated in many classes and programs at Body Innovations.
