I've been coming to Donna and Studio Before it was even Studio D, don't want to age myself but we are talking 15yrs plus. I've always been impressed on how Donna and her crew are always learning new techniques and using the latest and greatest products available.

Her passion for hair began in 1995. She then took in young aspiring barbers and stylists to help grow their knowledge and career in a family style hair shop after becoming a mom. From then on, Studio D became a second home for many barbers, stylists and clients. We care not only about the hair but everyone who walks through our doors.

I’m so happy with my haircut done by Ashley. This was my first salon cut in 5 years so the damage from using scissors at home and heat products over the years really took a tole on my hair. Ashley cut to the exact length I wanted with the perfect amount of layers and curtain bangs to bring back the volume. She took her time and really exemplified the great detail and effort she puts into her work. Throughout the whole process she kept me in the loop by letting me know what she was going to be doing at each step. I highly recommend Ashley and will definitely be coming back to her for my next haircut

Just got my haircut here after almost 3 years of growing it out. Ashley is an amazing stylist and such a sweet person. I showed her some examples of what style I was looking for generally and I let her do her thing. I love my new 'do and I feel like I've gained a new friend. Come here for a fresh cut and for some genuine conversation. 👌

I generally dislike going to hair salons as I'm fairly introverted and nervous about getting my hair cut. Ashley was the most pleasant and calming stylist I've ever experienced. She listened to what I needed, offered good advice in an extremely friendly manner and then was delightful to talk to while getting my hair cut. She explained all the things she was doing as we went along which was very reassuring and even styled my hair at the end to help me see what it would look like when I styled it myself for an upcoming event. I definitely recommend her.

I've been having Trisha cut my hair for a while and I can't get enough of how thoughtful and considerate she is with every cut! My hair grows ridiculously quickly and whenever I see her she's quick to recommend or suggest trying different techniques or looks to make the cut work until the next time I see her. Thank you for making such a drastic change in hair lengths so easy to adjust to, Trisha!

I been coming to this place for the last three years off and on. But this was my second time with Ashley and I will continue to come back for her services. The staff at studio D are great but my experiences been good. With Ashley they been amazing! He skills for how short of a time in the industry she is doing incredible! Ashley made sure that I’m comfortable with what she’s gonna do and gives a lot of valuable inputs into creating a masterpiece with her work. I really cannot wait to go back to have Ashley do more to my hair and hopefully try other services that she do.

Haircuts were fine however it's very inappropriate to play vulgar & profanity ridden music when there are children getting serviced. I get you are going for a certain vibe however it might be a good idea to adjust the music accordingly when children are there. They don't need to be hearing "F" & "N" bombs. If you want to continue to play this music then don't offer services for children.
Also, most of the stylists there are very young. Apparently, one of them is only 17. So, expect the cuts to take a long time & maybe not as perfect as you were hoping

I am so happy to have Studio D in our neighbourhood, especially for nails! The prices are great (especially if you can find a Groupon!) They don't do pedicures anymore, but if you want gel or acrylic, or just a nice manicure, the selection of colours and designs is extensive and Azel, the technician, is so caring and careful. She's super friendly and pays attention to detail.
The only thing I didn't prefer is the loud R rated music they mostly play. I don't think I could sit and get a three hour colour done with it on.
But some people prefer that atmosphere so it's up

Update: Jesse is amazing. Unlike other salons where they feel like they're trying to rush you out of there, Jesse takes her time to ensure every aspect of your nails are PERFECT. So $100 for like 5 hours isn't that much per hour although it's a long time to sit in a chair.
She is a wizard at nails though. Damn. Just damn. My nails lasted a very long time and were chip free.

I came in for a manicure and was serviced immediately. It is located right beside Tim Horton's and there is ample street parking. The place is small, but clean and a bit overwhelming. They offer nails, hair, and tattoo services, so there was a lot of movement. It was also extremely loud in there....I like hip hop music, but it was so loud it gave me a headache. I chose my colour and everything went great. My nails were clean and looked fantastic and the nail tech was pleasant. The only negative was that it chipped the very next day. Went with my husband to get a basic haircut. "Stylist" didn't listen to anything he said and did his own thing.
Ended up with a stupid fade that neither of us like.
Did not bother asking him to fix it as he's already demonstrated his lack of listening skills.

I had a cut with the owner/stylist Donna yesterday. I waited almost 25 minutes for the cut even though I had made an appointment. No apologies for the delay forthcoming. Then the cut. I described very clearly what I had wanted but Donna had a different idea and just assumed I wanted it a lot shorter than I had explained. Basically she gave me a bob that is difficult to style (hard to blow dry due to the very short length) and couldn't be put up in a ponytail (I had said I wanted to be able to do that), and thicker in areas (which I had to ask her to trim back). Now I will have to wait a lot

Never coming back here ever again. I trusted this salon to be good because someone recommended it to me. I went here to get my hair and nails done. Both were overly priced but I wouldn't have mind it if it was done well. First the hair. Oh my god. I should have not gotten it done here as all that money was wasted. I wanted a grey balayage and she gave me purple ish (this faded away in a few days so whatever) BARELY THERE gray and MOSTLY bleached brown. Donna has be cutting, styling and occasional coloring my hair for 13 years now. She did my hair before she opened up her own studio appropriately named Studio D. Her service is amazing and the quality of the hair cuts were are and will always exceed expectations. Donna does not rush through her haircuts and puts considerable time in her work so you will always be satisfied with the end result. Her staff is great also. If Donna is fully booked, I will visit Carole for my cuts. Carole also does a masterful job with my hair. And I am fuzzy. Love this salon and staff! Highly recommended. Oh yeah,

I got my gel nails done here on Friday with a groupon. I'm not sure if that matter really changes anything, but I don't think that the quality should decrease because of it. This is my first time here at studio D but I will probably not come back. The girl who did my nails wasn't the best when it came to the quality and diligence of her work. She wouldn't ask me to check if I liked the shape of my nails, actually, she didn't ask about what I wanted at all. I found that one of them was extremely lopsided and asked her to file it down a bit more because of the uneven lengths
